I am looking to build a gravel frame up for my wife. A lot of analysis paralysis with seemingly endless manufacturers and re-sellers so I figure I'd list my wishlist here and see what the hive mind comes up with!
Wishlist:
1. 45mm tire clearance minimum, prefer 50mm, no need to go beyond.
2. Clean aesthetic. Something that looks like a Crux or an Open U.P. Don't see her bikepacking or doing ultras so don't need bosses all over the fork or anything like that.
3. Fully integrated cable routing
4. Stable Geo: I ride a '25 Santa Cruz Stigmata. I love the geo on that bike. I don't think she needs to go as extreme but something in that realm would be nice.
5. Lightweight. She is a light rider, 48kg geared up so weight matters. Things can be on the lightweight side and durability isn't much of a concern.
6. Decent lead time. Her excitement level on cycling is really high right now. She's spending lots of time on the trainer getting stronger and is getting comfortable doing urban riding with our kids. I want to get this bike built ASAP so we can enjoy the peak fall riding season we are coming in to.
Thanks for your suggestions!
