Chainrings from Aliexpress: PassQuest, Stone, Riro, Raceduel, ...

I have used Stone 2X 48/33T made for SRAM's AXS flat top chains. I've used them for 3 seasons (approx 8000 miles) and they have worked well.

Open question: what are options suitable for 2x? i need 54/40, not 1x. I havent bought the crankset yet, so as long as a carbon crankset can run these chainrings, i'm interested.
Key question: what about longevity/ i've run 20-25$ dual chainrings (now on Ali they cost 50+), and they dont last. It's fine as long as it's cheap, but nothing's cheap anymore. Is it established that Shimano / premium chainrings last multiple times longer, or not at all?
I dont mind changing chainrings that cost 20. I do mind changing them if they cost 50, and the good ones last forever and cost 75, basically.

Longevity is heavily influenced by the grade of aluminium used. Cheap chain rings use a softer '6061' grade while more expensive chain rings such as these Pass Quest GRX compatible rings or these Magene rings, use 7075 grade aluminium. It's a fair bet, if you're surfing for chain rings on Ali and a product page doesn't mention 7075 then the rings are using the cheaper grade. I've been running the Magene rings for 6000km - not exactly long term - but they're doing just fine.

To be fair, they do cost like 20-30 EUR less in China than on AliExpress.

As I said, Stone have good chainrings, also available in 54/40. I have 53/39 5-bolt chainrings now, but once i get back to better fitness, I will ramp up the ratio and go with 54/40 or higher.
I can't comment on longevity as I only changed to them in August. Previously, the setup was with Rotor NoQ 11s which have been on a bike for over 28k km, they still works fine. As you can see, the bar is pretty high here

Pass Quest/Sprill is good for 1x, but crap for 2x. Got 2x chainrings from Stone for Shimano 12s and it is great and pretty much indistinguishable from Shimano ones. I would only wish they have a more sleek look.

I installed the Passquest 2x (52-36) on the P515, and I've had no problems over more than 5,000 km; furthermore, shifting with the Shimano 105 Di2 is smooth and, in my opinion, feels exactly like the original chainrings.

2x Stone 50/34 on my 12s Ultegra 8100. About 5k km. Shift as well as the 52/36 ultegra rings they replace. Very happy 👍

I've bought one of those as well (a while back), unfortunately my crankset order was hold hostage and the seller didn't ship it
I think it was all to do with me getting a really good price on it with the 11.11 discounts, but they seem very well made and of good quality!

in my experience it's exactly the kind of OEM chainrings that dont last, so fair value on these is 25 eur, last year i'd have said 25$. i've put 25k km on my Tractor, plus a bunch of hours on the home trainer, plus more km on my gravel bikes, and i've lost count of how many times i've changed rings. Also, a friend managed to kill a brand new one by twisting the teeth under load (not a patient man with his equipment). Not saying they're all soft like butter, and on your photo it does say 7075-T6, which in theory means they're robust. Except the ones i have found to be very soft are all labelled 7075 was well. Which EU country? i may be a buyer if sub 25 eur, because they're like chains and bar tape, as long as you ride you end up going through them.

I had this installed and replaced them with Ultegra rings. Shifting was ok but then thing I could get past is the noise. Only had one chain drop during the 2K km or so of use, but that was my fault for shifting like an idiot.

I've had chainrings from both Riro and Goldix, and honestly, these seem better made and more robust than either of those. Based on appearance alone, I'd rank them Leese (these ones), then Goldix, then Riro.

That said, I paid €30 for these, so that's all I'm looking to get back. If that works for you, we could use Vinted or Wallapop for shipping they're the cheapest options I know of for sending within the EU.

Deckas rings doesn't seem to get mentioned much, but they've been great on my gravel bike and mountain bike.

Second this. Use them and have had no issues

Third. Been using one on a 1x mountain bike with zero issues at all. Don't see the point of paying 3x for even a Race Face ring or even more for other brands.
