Great Job!

Maybe a similar format for frames will be the perfect mix

Awesome site, thanks a lot for the work. Would it be possible to add the recommended tire sizes for each wheelset?
Also ICAN gravel wheels are missing (very good for price).
Thanks!

Quote from: ilja on October 14, 2026, 07:33:18 AMThanks for the hint. Wheelsfar's complete catalog is more than 500 variations. I only added the lightest and the cheapest for each rim/height combination, which is still more than 100 wheel sets.

Not sure about this Kore brand. Website is just a compilation of affiliate links to different Ali Express sellers. 🤔

I ordered from their website directly (no Aliexpress intermediaries) with no problems. 400€ for 1250g wheels...

could you please add the new Zen carbon rims / wheels? they're among the few leading the charge with wide rims (i'm thinking 35C contigp5000), in the 40+mm territory. currently on your website if i do Zen carbon + 40mm min outside width, i get nothing.
Thanks!
Also, idk if you should allow the community to add data points, or whether you want to hold the pen.
i think the tool is more useful if it's up to date, and it's more likely to be up to date if the community can populate the info.
i've added a lot of bikes to geometry bike geeks website, for eg.
I can see Sander and POTOOOO adding a thousand wheels/rims each :p

I put it on the list. I have to see, how many manufacturers provide recommended tire sizes. Maybe it's more common for gravel wheels, which I'm not too familiar with? 🤔

I added the Kore wheelsets from that site, even though they only have EURO prices, and might not be related to the original manufacturer. Tried to grab some USD prices for those wheels from Ali Express. Not sure why Kore wheels doesn't have an official website like Elite wheels have. 🤷♂️

Did you order inside the EU? What about the shipping fee and duty tax? having a look at their website it suggests they are included in the price.s

I updated the Zen wheels dataset and added to new Gravel wheel sets with 40mm outer width.

I think so, too. I just didn't get around and figure out a way that I like. For instance, on geometry bike geeks there often are several datasets for the same frame set. That's something I like to avoid.

9Velo is already in there, right after 8Lien on the start page at the bottom.

Yes, ordered within EU. I payed ~€400 all-in (incl. shipping and fees - though I think they somehow avoid paying fees). Before ordering I reached out through the contact form on the website as my country (in EU) wasn't among the options for shipping at that time. I asked for an estimate of the shipping and import fees and they told me that they are running a promotion where the price of the wheels already includes all shipping and import fees. In the end that was all I paid. I suggest you reach out to them for whether the promo is still a thing.

Quote from: ilja on October 14, 2026, 12:46:54 AMI built a site for finding and comparing (mostly Chinese road) wheel sets: https://www.wheeldb.bike
(There are similar sites, but this one is mine.)

I needed to cut some corners: some wheel companies (lookng at you Light Carbon) allow for so many options, that including all would spam the catalog with hundreds of additional entries.

I concentrated on price, weight, and rim depth, leaving out some details like UCI approvement, ratchet engagement points, bearing material (steel/ceramic). Hope the site is still usuable for you?

There are wheelsets and complete brands missing. If you can think of some, please let me know.

Insane work, and it's very usable. I am also working on a similar project. Where I indexed wheels, frames and fork. It scrapes reviews and threads and runs sentiment analysis on them to build a reliability report for each product. It isn't public yet, but I am sure they'll fit together well.  ;)
