Lcfs911 advice
« on: July 31, 2021, 04:54:10 PM »
Hi i would appreciate some advise regarding my new build on the Lcfs911 frame, i have a Shimano xt m800 pressfit bottombracket. What should i use when mounting the bearing on the carbon frame? Grease? Loctite?

Shimano dosent mention any of these things in their online installation manual.

I would also like to know which size of the chainring/cranksprocket that i could use on the frame, would like to mount a oval 36t but im afraid that it will damage the frame.

34T is the listed maximum for chain ring size. 36T definitely won't fit, 34T oval might? Bottom bracket you can grease a bit or not. Lots of info out there on it. FWIW I used a bit of grease with a sram bottom bracket and it seems have to worked well.

A 34T oval has the diameter of a 36T at the maximum.
Builders are usually conservative so maybe it will fit, but a 36T oval maybe too much.

You can buy both a 32T and 34T oval from Aliexpress, Deckas are at about $8(104BCD).
You can press the BB dry, or with the loctite 609.
