Re: 2021 NEW Carbon frame 29er suspension mountain BSA XC MTB travel 100mm FM027
This is a picture sent to me by TanTan.  I emailed them asking if I could buy a spare set of the shock mount hardware.  It costs $60.00 + $10.00 shipping for these 2 barrel bolts.  In the picture top bolt is roughly 70mm length with and 8mm diameter with an m6 screw, this bolt is actually the bottom bolt in the shock mount and the shock mounts upside down.  There are 2 14 mm spacers that go on either side of the 22X8mm shock hardware.  The bottom bolt in the picture is roughly 28mm X 8 mm with an m6 screw, and its the top mount hardware.  Top is 22 mm inside width, bottom is 50 mm inside width.  The linkage is metal, i believe aluminum.
Those are called sex bolts and are usually less than $10 for high quality options.

Re: The shiney new AM831 Group Buy thread!
For those that have paid, how much was shipping? Is that paid immediately or later?

Was payment done via PayPal?

Shipping was $100 China Post to US, paid in full via PP. Other options are available.

Re: The shiney new AM831 Group Buy thread!
Count me in for a XL size in Santa Cruz Highland Blue Pantone color code PMS 2153 c. Shipping to California.

What is included? Any suggestions for components for a good build with this frame?

How long for delivery? Is delivery included in price?

Included, clamp, bb and headset,  NOT INCLUDED RD HANGER but can be added for minimal cost.

Eddy estimated date to ship is end of May, shipping is not included.

I received a PM that the buy is happening - thanks for pinging everyone on the list.  Can the original post on this thread get updated with Eddie's information?

Added Eddy's post that has his info and details about the GB to the second post in this thread.

Re: The shiney new AM831 Group Buy thread!
I received an email from scourge about the Group Buy (GB) happening -thank you.
-I am still in with 1: size small (Unsure about a second one in size medium).

I still have a couple of doubts though, especially regarding our chances to reach the lower price and who and how this is being controlled.
-Is the 30 or 50 frame GB considered as such regardless of the frame size ordered? We're getting the 30 minimum pricing, $540, even if we just order 10.
-Are all sizes ready to produce now? (I think that when the original thread was started the frame and only in one size was still in development) yes
-What is the price if the GB does not even reach 30 frames? $540
-How are the orders being bundled (and who is doing it) so that we know the lower price was reached? Is there any need to do this? No bundling, email Eddy
-Is Eddy taking orders until a cut-off date so that he can quote based on the number of orders that we were able to reach? Or is it that, by simply telling Eddy you are part of the GB allows you to access the prices he gave us, and trust Eddy will quote accordingly? Mid April for GB, email Eddy and tell him you're part of the GB
-Is there any promise from Eddy to respect the $499 price or refund any difference if the GB reaches 50 frames? We won't hit 50 frames
-For what I have read, some people have already placed orders at $540 (before shipping, custom colour, etc.). Did Eddy ask for a payment already or is he waiting until a cut-off date? I paid in full
-How does it work regarding payment? Do we need to cover 100% upfront? Or is it a 50% (or any other %) payment to place your order and the remainder before the order is shipped? Check with Eddy, I paid in full

I guess it sounds with all these questions that I am hesitant but not really, I think $540 is still a good deal. I just would like to know more details if possible before placing an order, or other’s experience so far.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Anyone here with this frame north of 200lbs? I'm 6'4" 210lbs and currently debating between the fm936 or the fm909 (size XL) for my next build. Just curious as to how they hold up with a 210lbs rider

I am also now looking at the Ican S3 as it appears to be like the fm936 with just a non flex stay rear triangle. I have never ridden a flex stay frame and not 100% sure how they do for someone my size.

Any advice is greatly appreciated! The goal is to build a 26-28lbs 120/100mm 29" speed machine.
I'm 6'1" and about 205 on a large. My build is a 24.5 pound 120/115ish. I've been riding it for about 3 months and have no complaints. I ride it thru some rowdy roots and rocks and it's a blast.

Re: Best "Downcountry" 120ish-mm Frame for Long Climbs and Rough Downhills
Would the FM936 work for heavy riders? Or is it more for leaner guys?
I'm 205 on a 936 and have no complaints. My build is 24.5 pounds and I really enjoy it. Handles the roots, rock gardens and short steeps in my area really well. I'll put it to the test this summer in the Rockies to get a better idea of how it handles the longer steep stuff.

Re: Ican S3 XC Frame
45mm bb drop is huge, IMO.  Pedal strikes galore here with that.
Run my 936 with 170 cranks and rarely have strikes. And I really like how you're more "in" the bike than on top of it.  Lots of fun to lean over in corners.
