Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame I am 178cm, 83cm inseam and I would buy a XL size with the shortest stem I can.
You are 10cm taller, I think you can ride a XL with 40/45mm stem and find the bike perfect.

See Yoann Barelli, 177 cm tall, he rides a XL size (see 5:00mn)

And he still has flow

Re: Stumpjumper clone Hi Bos...I think you are looking for the "effective seat angle" which wouldn't be 65 degrees.

If Mousey took a straight edge or a level and lined it up from the center of the bottom bracket to the seat mount...and then put his angle finder on that straight edge...you would get the effective seat angle.

Edit - seat would need to be at the normal riding position...not the slammed down dropper post position.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Cheap and light? Come on man you've got to provide links.

I payed 350€ for them on sale half a year ago. It’s non boost carbon wheel set that I drive with problem solvers adapters. Can’t find a link sorry.

Re: TanTan FM10 29/27.5+ Haha, thats crazy.  Had my morning coffee at Huxtons.  My buddy has a raised landcruiser with a big custom aluminum canopy on the rear for camping.  You might have seen him cruising around town.  Didn't venture in the water, but admired it from the hill.  Not sure my host warned me tho  :o

I ended up picking up some old stock new 29" XM421 with DT Swiss 350 last night.  $275.  Almost could not help myself.  ID 25mm which isnt ideal but it will be fine for a while.  Wasn't going to do it but then noticed that my buddy was riding ARC 24 on a SC 5010 with 2.5 tires and it has been working for the years that we have been riding together.  I wanted DT Swiss M1900 (ID 30mm) as they are good and reasonable, but everyone is out of stock.

I am not even sure what I going to do with this bike when I am done as I have a bike and my sons niner should be here soon.  Its like a tractor beam keeps pulling me in and making me build this bike. c-a-n-t  s-t-o-p.

Re: 2021 NEW Carbon frame 29er suspension mountain BSA XC MTB travel 100mm FM027
This is a picture sent to me by TanTan.  I emailed them asking if I could buy a spare set of the shock mount hardware.  It costs $60.00 + $10.00 shipping for these 2 barrel bolts.  In the picture top bolt is roughly 70mm length with and 8mm diameter with an m6 screw, this bolt is actually the bottom bolt in the shock mount and the shock mounts upside down.  There are 2 14 mm spacers that go on either side of the 22X8mm shock hardware.  The bottom bolt in the picture is roughly 28mm X 8 mm with an m6 screw, and its the top mount hardware.  Top is 22 mm inside width, bottom is 50 mm inside width.  The linkage is metal, i believe aluminum.
Those are called sex bolts and are usually less than $10 for high quality options.

Re: The shiney new AM831 Group Buy thread!
I know, right, but definitely don't come with a hanger.

As an aside, Miracle only included the frame, nothing else. So I guess be happy we get a BB, headset and set clamp?

I don't see including a BB as a plus.  Assuming just a generic 24mm BSA?  A large part of the MTB community uses SRAM...give me a derailleur hanger, not a BB

Re: TanTan FM10 29/27.5+
Hello GuitsBoy, how was the history of the damage to your frame by the shock absorber? Did they replace the part? or with the filing arrangement with the Dremel you have left it like this ... has the arrangement gone well?
I am in the same situation even file the round head of the shock absorber to see if it is solved, it rubs less but it continues to rub.
Hey, sorry, I must have missed this.  Yes, they did replace the rear seatstays, main alloy pivot, and the shock bolt with a stainless steel variant.   None of which have been installed since my various workarounds are doing just fine.  Even the epoxy carbon repair looks fine.

Re: Is this a Transition clone? Judging by the bottom bracket drop on the geo chart, this seems to be a 27.5 bike. I wonder how much travel it has in the front and the rear.

Re: ZTTO chains Recently ordered ZTTO regular silver chain, 11 speed, brand is SUMC. Performance is OK with shimano crank + cassette, shifting into bigger cogs is occasionally a bit slower than ultegra chain. I stripped the factory grease with paint thinner and used Squirt wax lube, and the chain holds onto the wax fine.
