Good choice. Think about it this way. If it was selling he wouldn’t be here trying to get people to buy it with a discount.

I purchased this frame with the rest of the group, and upgraded to JJJ bearing revision kit. That being said, you can't fault them for trying to improve just from a group of guys already buying 'knock off' frames. I'd consider this frame as well. For the price, and for the price we got this for in 2021, you get what you pay for... Damn good deal at the end of the day.

I could be way off here but looking at how much your wheel still moves in that rear triangle and the fact that sounds to me more like something under tension rubbing against cf I would be looking really closely at the dropouts to make sure everything is tight and also aligned where it should be.  As I said, I could be way off and just going by experience with similar sounds on other bikes.

Stupid question, did you upgrade your bolts to JJJ's revised ones?

Hello.
I recently received the 2022 catalog from ICAN.

I am interested in the frame called P17.

I think it's probably FLYBIKE's FM1266, which is good news since FLYBIKE is BtoB and cannot be bought privately.

I have ordered from Ican and have had great success with the P9. Great bike, durable etc. The P17 looks oddly similar to the group buy bike we all have had rear triangle issues with. The top tube is very long, it's stretched at the head tube. I would like to know what warranty they provide with this frame specifically. And it also looks like they don't have any actually built yet...

Exactly what I’m looking for, looking at the possible tyre, bb, headset and rear shock options. Thanks!

If your start reading on page 9 you will get your answers your looking for. I ended up using dpx 210x51 the body fits perfectly, I believe the frame does not accommodate a spring shock. 29x2.4 max tire width or you do start getting tire rub on the rear.  You'll need a Crown race spacer pr your fork will rub the down tube. but, again all information if you read through this forum.

I believe we can still add a pair, since the final production has not started. Hopefully we'll get them going this week.

If not too late JJJ, could you please link me up with that spreadsheet? I haven't decided what to do, ride it or not get the new triangle or not. :(

The original question is are you happy aside from the flexing.. and it seems like a lot of complaining. Buyer beware. Your buying a knockoff enough said... ;D

My impressions have been pretty impressed with finish. This is my 3rd 'knockoff'. What helped me was past buyers who ran into trouble first building, IE: The crown race spacer, odds and ends really - made a huge difference in receiving the bike, having all the parts ready and building it. I am 5'8, riding a medium frame. My buddy is 6' and he rides it very comfortably. Is it too long for me? Maybe a cm or so, but I find I can sit inside the bike when hitting slopes that are long and fast. I got mine in the papaya orange and got some blue details that make it look like a Mclaren F1 car.

Here's my current specs;

Groupset - XT 12 speed, 4 piston brakes
Handlebars; Raceface 6C w/ blue labels
Stem; Raceface turbine stubby 35mm
MEC Grips
Raceface turbine cranks with 32T
Look trail pedals
Maxxis minions
Raceface 30mm rims with 370's

I have spoken to Eddy regarding the rear triangle and I am sitting on the fence. I don't live in a Mountain area, I ride Bromont a lot and local trails when I don't. The bike has been very good so far and you really can't beat the price with shipping to Canada.

Cheers!

Gentlemen,

Anyone completed the build with the crown spacer to prevent the front fork from hitting the downtube?  I'm quite confused on what we should use;  +0.5° crown spacer?  My fork hit the downtube (Frame Size S).  The rated head tube angle is 65.5° -  This would make 65° with the crown spacer?  I assumed the headset uses 45 degree bearing race.

Thank you for your input & sharing with us.

I used the one that someone suggested and put a link in, further back to one of the first builds and, yes it does change angle, but I've been riding a stumpy eco prior to this so it doesn't bother me. I'd rather that then frame damage

Gents, a 'sticker foam' for the chain stay has been included in my frame, if anyone else has received, which direction did you apply it?  :o

Stefan, I see same color and same progress as me more or less  8) .
BB issue: I think the threaded BB is the way to go, maybe I will install the stock BB with no inner spacer, just to be sure that I could remove it later; ZTTO BB looks good but aliexpress transit time is approx 15 days :-X : otherwise I see in german online shop token makes same threaded BB, just slightly more expensive.
Chainline issue: the difference between shimano XT 8100 and 8120 (or slx 7100 and 7120) is that the first have a chainline of 52 mm and a QR factor of 172 mm, the second has a 55 mm chainline and QR of 178 mm; the "20" series achieve this with a 6 mm longer spindle and adding a 3 mm spacer each side to keep simmetry; on this frame it looks like the 52 mm chainline barely clears the frame: possible solution is adding spacers to BB or to  crank spindle in driver side; this will creat asymmetry in QR factor, but 1-2 mm I think won't be noticeable. As a general rule the more inner the chainline the better it is.

Included with the frame purchase is the BB and spacer which looks like a 3mm. Would that not help clearance for chainring? I'll be installing tonight and having a look at that...

I used dental floss and a vacuum cleaner.

I used nothing. They fed right thru with no issues.
