How are you liking the durolux?  i have the same fork and after a bit of messing around with it, i have found my happy place and it is really performing great.

the bike looks great!!

Thanks. Im happy with it and considering how cheap it was with discounts it is unmatched, but it definately took some time before I got it to shine.

Chiner frames gets cooler/better every year, bet this thing rides amazing.. Only thing that bugs me is the height of the toptube joint with the seat post, i think enduro frames should have a more aggressive look with lower standover height, but thats just looks.

If you look for an XC bike. Did you look at the FM936 or FM909 from Carbonda ?
Many happy people here(me included).
They are not on aliexpress, but by direct contact and trustworthy.

Would be my choice as well for a xc bike, nice modern geo and trusted by big name brands also.

Thanks but  the ZTTO M1 thread is full of ratchet failures... Maybe the 36T is safer I have no idea.

The 6-bolt brake version has a pawl system with 72 clicks if you don't want ratchet. They have this one as well for j-bend spokes, but its heavier https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003541415410.html

Found this chainstay protector, the air one looks pretty decent.

There's generic downtube protectors on ebay/aliexpress as well. Nukeproof dissent protector kinda works also, but it doesn't cover all the way to the edges.

The bearings should be full compliment (usually called max in the bike world), that's the most important for frame bearings. The hardware store ones are usually with a cage.

I don't have any play either, the shock bolt sits tight in the frame and on the shock, actually so tight the coating on the bolt has shaved a little from pulling it out. I haven't ridden the frame yet so I don't know if its something that could come later tho.

Built a pair of carbon hoops using these, came out pretty light for being "all-mountain" rims, just over 1600g. The spoke lengths Ztto provided was pretty much spot on.

dunno about bleed cups and i doubt you'll get much sense from Onirii.. i've been trying to find out from what the equivalent pad they use would be but they can't or wont tell me beyond that they use their own E4 pads... anyone one recognise the shape?

Could be Hope M4/E4, Shimano m755 pads?

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Wax your chain or die tryin

I'm using Oz cycle's method as well. Degreasing the new chain is the most important step (and probably the biggest reason why some people don't have success with waxing). I do petrol bath for 12+ hour > degreaser 12+ h > boiling water rinse > isopropanol alcohol 1+ h> done, the petrol will be the most important step as it takes away pretty much 99% of grease and don't forget to shake/stir the container every now and then.

I’m already late heading out for a fat bike ride but IIRC one was in the 947 thread here (didn’t involve removing any bolts that I recall, happened on a ride I think) and the other was on one of the major general forums like Pinkbike or MTBR…the latter, probably.

Dang must have missed that one, fingers crossed it wont happen to mine :-\
