Hi everyone - We wanted to share a quick update and let you know we have been listening to your feedback and have designed a new c ring. The new design has a small cut out that allows for a better grip on the steerer to take place once the headset is compressed.

For those that are having issues, please get in touch at info@velobuild.com so we can sort you out with a newly designed c ring. For those that are still using the original or second design without issue, please know you can continue using them without concern!

Can guarantee that Velobuild is not using any T1000 carbon. Their frames are amongst the heaviest ones coming out of china!

We can guarantee we use T1000 - 1K carbon for our VB-R-177 and VB-R-218 frames  ;)

Hello all

We wanted to provide an update on the recent issues some customers have experienced with their frames and let you know we have been working closely with those affected to find a resolution.

We are implementing additional QC/QA steps to our process prior to frames being sent for painting and multiple checks before shipping to ensure no issues or parts are missed and can be corrected if needed.

We appreciate everyone's feedback and are committed to improving the quality of our products by listening to what you have to say.

Happy building and riding!

VeloBuild Team

I have finally found an easy yet permanent fix for the headset play issue when using the separate handlebar/stem combo. Please bare with me as I'll do my best to be clear and concise. You do not need an FSA ACR setup, nor disconnect any hydraulic or shift cables.

Thank you Patliean1 for all the troubleshooting and your detailed assessment.

We have been working on resolving the headset play issue some customers with the separate bar/stem combo have experienced and are happy to announce that the issue has been resolved by increasing the thickness of the C shaped bearing press by 0.5mm.

All shipments since April have been sent with the new bearing press and we have also sent it to existing customers that have been affected and it has resolved their issues.

If you have the separate handlebar/stem and are experiencing this issue please contact us for a new C shaped bearing press by email at info@velobuild.com

New customer orders of the separate handlebar/stem will also include split spacers.

I also posted this in the VB-177 thread. Figured a brand new topic/thread would better raise awareness.
