Title: TanTan 2021FM038
Post by: dan_cx on March 07, 2021, 12:47:12 PM
Has anyone seen this one yet, or have any info/feedback about it? http://www.tantancycling.com/index.php?_m=mod_product&_a=view&p_id=929

It looks like a fairly decent setup, close-ish to my 2020 Norco Revolver, but it's the rearward shock mount/seatstay configuration that has me scratching my head... I'm wondering what kind of loads will be transferred through the non-pivoting seatstay/shock mount?

Thoughts?

The seat stay has pivots, unless I am missing something?

Yes, the whole stay is a separate section from the rest of the rear triangle, with a pivot at each end. My concern is the forward extension, past the front pivot, that connects to the shock. I'm trying to visualize the travel path in my mind, and wondering how/if it will have a dramatically less than linear path as the shock compresses. Maybe I'm overthinking it?
