Wow complete modern carbon bike: all internal routing, hydraulic disc brake, true axles, integrated bar. All for 692.75usd, i.e. under 1k shipped.
I kept asking what's the max tire clearance? they replied they're using 700x25,not sure if they understand my question nor they do not know the answer. If the max is 700x25, that's no good for modern tire size, at least should take 700x30.

From the pic, the front prob can take 700x30 or 28. The rear I'm not sure, if can squeeze in 700x28 that's prob acceptable.

Looks good for the price if one needs an entry level, almost 10Kg / 22lb road bike.

Yeah I think the wheelset and the crankset are boat anchor! I prob swap them out with something lighter.

Hello, it's my first post here. I'm thinking to get a road bike and TT-X40 seems like a really good value. I also found the R5 pro which seems to be the same bike with different branding. They claim that it can be shipped in EU without the need to pay any taxes.
Has anyone any experience? Is there any justified reason to avoid that?
I would also like to source the parts and build one myself but I cannot compete with that price even with low tier pars. Furthermore the more expensive parts (150€+) will be subject to import taxes.
Is the TT-X40/R5 pro my best option on that price range (~700€)?

A lot of components are on the cheap end and you will end up replacing them sooner rather than later. Are you simply not trusting your ability to put a bike together if you purchase stuff separately?

I could build one myself but I guess it will exceed €1K and with that money I could just get the new Canyon allroad. The import taxes is the main reason I want to avoid sourcing all the parts myself. The sellers of the TanTan bike claim they can send it without taxes.
The cheap components of the TanTan bike are prone to defects and need to be replaced or just for better performance? The carbon frame and its durability is my main concern.

1000-1200$ is achievable i think.
