Certainly interesting, I've been on the 630 for a month and very happy with it, I consider it a straight upgrade in every way to the garmin 530 (except maybe the third party integrations but the app really isn't that bad). I trust them to beat the 1040 but magene is about to drop their own touchscreen computer for $160 so I would have hoped it was a little cheaper than $350.
I can't remember the last time I was excited for a western release, but between TPU tubes, DTSwiss clone hubs, hydraulic and then electronic groupsets and higher end bike computers, I feel spoiled.
I wonder if it would sync up with Wheeltop EDS OX and TX electric derailleurs.
They sync with LTWOO eRX already, no doubt they would sync with wheeltop

magene is about to drop their own touchscreen computer for $160 so I would have hoped it was a little cheaper than $350.

Magene touchscreen c606 is already out but they made a big mistake in only giving it 4gb of storage. A seemingly terrific device severely hobbled by a very simple mistake. And you can't tell me that was a cost cutting thing either, memory is dirt cheap, would cost less than a dollar per unit to give it 32gb

I have 2 iGS630s. I went into the sensor detection screen (Shifter) and tried for about 1/2 an hour to try to get my 630 to link/recognize/do something. All it did was non stop "Searching" I tried on 3 different EDS derailleurs and the 630 didn't find any of the derailleurs.
I turned on my Wheeltop app and linked to the derailleurs hoping the 630 might pair with the phone or derailleur.
I opened my iGS630 app on my phone to see if there was anything in the app I could use to link/find my EDS derailleurs. (Nothing.)
Edit: I do not see EDS/Wheeltop listed in the advanced features for the iGS630.

(Since my 630 searched without finding the EDS derailleur, I take it that it does not support the Wheeltop EDS derailleur, and I doubt the new 800 supports EDS either.)

It's a bit sad that they don't focus on one product they could surely deliver something good. Having a few really solid features rather than being all over the place.. Everyone say the same that the IGS800 stuff are lacking in almost every feature implementation. Feels like a product that is not ready and will never be ready. Who wants to pay 300+ for that ?
I still use my garmin edge 520 and garmin add features to it so long after the release..

I just ordered one. I’ve been a longtime user of the 620. I’ve enjoyed that model until this point but ‘Ive wanted something that was a tad bigger. I like the idea of rerouting and the iclimb feature. Should be here tomorrow and I’ll update as soon as I get a few hundred miles on it!

the igs630 got rerouting, had iclimb pro and segments beta is available too. I haven't installed the update yet, so I'm not sure if it really can reroute.
I don't really understand how it will work, but the functionality seems to be the same.

As I understand it the IGS630 is not getting a firmware upgrade for rerouting. It's a new device called IGS630S that just has a couple changes including rerouting, with a higher MSRP
Personally happy with the 630 overall except for mapping, it sometimes gets confused following a route, and I've had the device completely crash and reboot mid-ride once (not saved in the storage). Still ordered a magene C606 to compare because on paper it looks awesome if it can load 2 regions worth of maps

I just connected the IGS800 to the Wheeltop EDS TX pretty easily. Only thing is the ways the gears are listed is backwards (same as the app).

my bad, I use the igs630s... I installed the firmware update, but it didn't say anything about rerouting.
Segments u need to add manually to routes it seems.
the c606 doesn't support as many components... my wife can use the igs630s to commute with her e bike.

I am irritated with my iGS630 computer. I tried to use the 2nd iGS630 I purchased in the route navigation mode, using an uploaded GXP file for my latest multi-day ride. Using this model to navigate really consumes the battery! The longest the battery ever lasted was 8 hours until it hit 15% battery live and went into power saving mode. (This added at most another 1.5 hours of riding before it would power off.) - I was riding about 10 hours a day.
Has anyone battery-life tested the new iGS800 or the iGS630S when they are being used in the navigation mode?
I am very disappointed with the battery life of the iGS630. I need a computer that will last at least 48 hours of operation between charges.

I still get over 25 hours of battery life with a GPX file and 3 sensors paired. You might have a faulty unit

Has anyone battery-life tested the new iGS800 or the iGS630S when they are being used in the navigation mode?...
I've been riding with the 800 for a month now, always in nav mode with heart and power sensors connected. The battery life is excellent, even after full-day rides, it's still around 80% or more. The screen is visible during the day without needing the backlight. However, I'm not sure about 48h, unlike some Garmin models, it doesn't have the feature where the screen turns off and only lights up when a turn is coming

Was having a look at the igpsport computers. Seems like some of the features are slightly rough around the edges but the majority of information I can find was from release. Anyone had any long term experience with them? Specifically the iclimb feature, has that improved much since release?

I purchased my IGPSport 800 in January 2025. I have recorded about 4000 miles on it to date. I like it much better that My iGS630.
I like everything about the 800 except...
- It is almost too configurable with all of the programmable screens and features.
- The screens I can scroll through change when I am only recording a ride/data, versus when I am using a downloaded map/route. (I am sure I can figure out why,
I just haven't wanted to figure out how to make them look the same.)
- Most recently, and probably the most irritating problem with this unit is....
The 800 has a touch screen. I though that this was really nice until I had to ride in pouring rain! Then it wasn't a great feature Rain drops landing on the touch screen cause the screen to change screens. My unit is mounted at about a 15 degree angle. Streams of rain flowing down the screen also caused the screen to react and change screens. In one case, the unit changed into the screen programming section and deleted some of my screens and changed others. Imagine after a rain storm that you no longer have your data displayed the way you spent a lot of time setting up. Very frustrating to say the least.
To be fair, my armored cell phone that I use for navigation, did the same/similar thing, but I can turn off the screen on it. The 800 keeps its display on all of the time.
Overall, I still give my 800 a full thumbs up, especially if you are using it for navigation from uploaded maps!

My binavi (which is newer, less expensive and with more features, for those thinking about the 800) has an option to lock the touch screen and only operate it with buttons. Yours probably has it too.

Thanks for the hint. I found the touch screen lock. I like to have the touch screen on, now I hope I can quickly find the path to turn it off next time I hit wet weather.
I read through the page and data display settings in the manual. Seems to me that the manual only rudimentary covers how to modify, shift, delete and change data fields within the 8 different screens. It will take some time to figure out and practice changing the fields I suppose.

I'm eyeing the 630S. There's an app on your phone you're expected to use to set your data screens, instead of doing it on the device itself.
First comment I forget to mention in previous post. I really like the larger screen size used on the IGS800, plus a color screen versus my smaller IGS630 screen. If you plan on using your unit for navigation, the 800 is superior.
Supposedly... The 800 has the ability to set your data screens using the app. I double triple checked my app is the latest release version and that my 800 has the latest firmware. a feature described in several reviews and via AI search results states I should have this field to chose: "Page layout settings"
Under "Device settings", there is no "page Layout Setting' listed.
I recommend that before you pull the trigger on a 630S you double check that this feature has actually been released on the APP*.
*Note that there is only one IFPSport APP and you add your model to the APP so interface with your unit. I have 2 iGS630 and one iGS800 attached to my app.
For grins, I switched to one of my IGS630 unites and do not see the data screen configuration either for this one.
I will write to iGPSports and ask why I can't find this feature in my app.

IGPSports was kind enough to send me a link to a video. It appears that configuring the screens using the APP is a common feature to many of their different models.
I spent around 40 minutes figuring out how to configure the screens using the app. Good feature I didn't know existed.

I have a problem with my IGS800. After my latest multi day bike packing ride, my the battery was at 35 %. On my drive home, I plugged the bike computer into a regular 2 Amp charger. When it was charged to 100% I unplugged it. After 10 minutes, I noticed that the charge screen had not disappeared. I pushed the power button and the computer wouldn't turn on. Then I tried all buttons. NOTHING!The battery charge screen has been on for hours now showing 100%. Thoughts? Anyone else have a similar problem?

Looks like it's taken a bit of a beating. No ideas from me, but IGPSPORT has been quick to get back to me on feedback and questions I've had, so hopefully they can help you out.

i thoroughly dislike Garmin, but my igpsport 630s is a joke of a device. they never fixed ghost watts, and i did a sprint session yesterday, which completely invalidates the session. Every single time you go riding "hard", you get corrupted data. They don't give a F, they deflect, at this point it's safe to say they'll never fix it.
The navigation is way worse than garmin (which is bad already). You sound like you're driving the clown car when you're following a route with the igp630s. the thing beeps constantly the moment you're not riding a straight line. a slightly curving road, with no intersection and no possible doubt as to where to go, beeps CONSTANTLY saying go left, go right, it's absolutely retarded. And they also seem completely uninterested in fixing it.
The gear number w Ltwoo does sync on the device, but battery level doesnt.
On the plus side, my computer mount decided to die on a mean downhill this week, the computer flew off the bike at 60kmh, and it still works. The screen broke further, but it was broken already.
And credit where credit is due: the hardware is fast. the app sync is fast. Getting the data imported back into garmin is a bit of an art form. the export, depending on the format you use, is corrupted, something they also dont seem interested in fixing. if you do .tcx, you get basic data exported well. if you do .gpx, you get more data (including temp), but half of it is completely wrong so it's unusable.
It could be a great device, it just isnt. i paid 155 eur for it, i would have returned it but i couldnt. the ghost watts stuff is just unacceptable on so many levels. for casual riding, it's ok. for anybody serious, it isnt. Imagine doing some kind of "ultra" event and the thing stupidly beeping on you for 15 hours, hell no. And it's not like you'd want to deactivate the beeping altogether, because i m not riding to stare at my screen, and the off course / re-routing thing is also worse than garmin, so if you happen to go off-course, good luck making sense of what's the route, what was the route, which way is the route, and so on.
last: i tried to see if there's an open source stack / some way to hack the software, looks like it's closed source and not an option. if the software could be open sourced, it could be a wonderful device.

And I didn’t have a problem with the navigation on my BCS300T.
Like the SR Mini it is a bit chirpy, but I like that.

Because it depends on how the computer implements the ANT+ spec for powermeters. The ANT+ spec minimum allows for, instances where 0W is sent from the meter, the prior value to be held and recorded for up to 3 seconds. All serious manufacturers (Garmin, Wahoo, etc.) go beyond that to ensure that when the power meter is reporting 0W is actually records 0W.
From my previous experience, I wholly agree with Serge_K. The hardware is great. The software is not up to standard and feels poorly tested.

I found that maybe Smart Recroding can lead to only writing values every 3 to 5 seconds https://forum.intervals.icu/t/low-amount-of-data-points-using-a-igpsport-bsc-300-bike-computer/116972, don't know of this will fix the problem. If disabling this dosen'r fix the problem it is indeed a bad design.

Geeze. Talk about side bar discussions... After posting my problem, I wrote to IGSports. No answer yet. I figure it is the weekend there. In the mean time, 2 things. 1. I searched my problem and the AI response stated to try a hard reset, (which I tried many times.), or let the battery run down and try to start it again.
For grins this morning, I held the power on button down, and after 6 seconds, the unit turned on. -like nothing had happened. The battery shows about 80%. +, there was no hard reset, and all my history and routes are still there
The AI response stated that this is a common problem that has been reported.
Now you guys can go back to discussing your problems with the 630s model.

Happy user of the iGS800.
I'm now using it two years and its a great substitute for my garmin 840.
Originally navigation was poor, but since they did a great software update one and a half year ago, it's perfect. The only difficulty I notice is the scale of the map is different compared to my garmin which makes it a bit more difficult to navigate offroad. Likely I can modify this setting to make them have the same scale, but I'm too lazy.
Uploading and using routes with the app is also way faster than with Garmin.
Concerning functions, it has all what you need including the colorfull widgets and a climbPro feature (which might be called differently).
So far I have no issues with the hardware: the battery life is still superb (and long lasting) and the screen is still as good as new. Also the screen does not fade at the edges (which my previous garmins started to do after a couple of years).
Customer support: For the EU consumers: BikeInn.com also sells the computer at a competitive price, so if you want better customer service or warranty, this might be a good solution.
In short: a great substitute and cheaper alternative than the overprices big players like Garmin and Wahoo.
With the current rising alternatives from magene and others, there might be better solutions, but my gamble to purchase the iGS800 has zero regrets.
