hi guys looking at building a new road bike, currently on a velobuild VB-R-086 which I've done 3000km on, lovely bike. What are the newest frames these day are good allrounders? seriously considering the lightcarbon lcr017-D but the stories of voids is really turning me off, id love a winspace t1550 but they are a bit beyond what id like to pay for a chinese frameset. what other options are good these days?

Yishun, longteng, speeder are probably all worth a look.
-
Thanks for that, haven't heard of any of those brands, any particular 2024 models that are known to be good bikes? I've used ican before for mtb and the p9 has been bombproof, are their road bikes any good?

If I bought a road frame tomorrow, it could well be the speeder 55 something. Looks a lot like Rose Xlite something, and it's lovely looking. It's light, it looks like a good do it all somewhat aero machine, tralala tralala.
For less, the vb268.
If you want lots of clearance, long teng 301.
For a very clean endurance bike, yishun has a nice model, monocoque very light with a round seat post.
Off the top of my head.

At least one has the speeder frame. I’m getting close to pulling the trigger on one as well. Just deciding what cockpit will fit me best before I place an order

Quoted 680usd for the speeder frame set (no tru axles, bar or headset included in that), also no custom paint which is a bummer.
What company is known for the best custom paint work these days?

The speeder bar is really nice if you go separate bar/stem

Ican has a good reputation.
What sort of geometry are you looking for? Got an idea of stack and reach?

Don't have detailed measurements but I'm looking for something of an all rounder on the slightly more aero side

Tbh I'm more into the mtb side of things so trying to build a new road bike seems daunting at the moment, I feel like there's so many different niche categories now that I don't know what I want, all I know is I don't want a endurance/relaxed frame, I want something a little bit more aggressive with aero properties while being relatively lightweight. My previous bikes where a caad 10 and a velo build VB-R-086 so I'm definitely out of the loop at the moment.

Yo guys, I don't really get all the hate on the LCR017. I mean, yeah, the cheese frame can be a bit off-putting (I'm like 50% excited, 50% worried about mine that's currently being shipped), but honestly, there are plenty of happy people with the frame, and as far as I'm concerned Lightcarbon sent a replacement for the cheesy one.
Also, I have to say I would have bought the Winspace C5 if I’d had the money. It seems like a really good all-rounder, although there's not much info about it online

Well in that case, I reckon the following might be of interest. Others will have more ideas I'm sure.
Yishun 1058

Speeder 55

Farsports hyper rims. Maybe the 24mm internal/30mm external with dt350 and cx ray spokes.

Speeder bars are nice

Conti gp5k s tr tyres in say 30mm perhaps would go nice.
Could get multiple stems with your frame order so you can find your fit with little expense.

I’m also looking at the 10 degree bar for my gravel bike. Just deciding how much work I want to put on myself!
