Managed To grab myself a frameset only of the new Twitter C6.
Frame looks solid so far; my only gripe is that it came with a 250mm seatpost and it's an aero shaped/D-shaped seatpost. I want to look for a longer seatpost preferably around 300mm to 350mm. I've asked the seller if its possible to get one but sadly they said that they only make that dimension for the seatpost.
I was just wondering if the shape and size of the seatpost a standard for another frame like a Giant is or a Specialized, etc.; the dimensions are 34.5mm x 24.9mm (I'll get the profile of the D Shape tomorrow after work)
I've also asked the seller if it's possible to buy a longer seatpost elsewhere, but so far, they haven't gotten back to me, so I'll wait for their reply.
It looks like a pretty solid frame so far. Can't really build it up yet but i will update the thread when I can

Always have been interested in AL frames from china, what was the cost?
-
your seatpost is short, as it looks like xs frame?
try to ask for L/xl frame.
is that post alu?
i cant recall, if twitter frame a rebrand of java, os sava bikes

Nice to see some alloy frames on here. Looking forward to see the final build.

Around $200 w/ shipping. Alloy frame with carbon fork. Took around a week to get to me since I live in SEA.

yea according to their Geo charts, I'm a size extra small, my bike before this was a size small Sunpeed Kepler, and the XS C6 has a little longer reach compared to the kepler.
I'll look around for a java/sava seatpost. It's kinda hard since no one really puts the dimensions of the post with D-shaped/Aero shaped seatpost. I'll just keep digging.
-
Those aero/D-shape seatposts sadly are all a pain in the ass to replace. Almost all of them are proprietary and you can only use the one that came with the frame or replacements directly from the frame's manufacturer.
I wish you luck though finding one. If this is a re-brand from another frame, you might be lucky but usually it's a dead end :/

You can get it on AliExpress for 270 with coins, and 30 USD less with coupon, free shipping.

This is very interesting and definitely opened my eyes on how far cheap alloy frames have gotten lately… If only it was a little bit lighter, something like the Emonda ALR for example… I’d be all over it.
Definitely update us OP, I am very interested to see what the bike ends up looking like!

So quick update; Managed to get the bike together. It fits pretty well for me aside from the shockingly short 250mm seatpost. Thankfully after some sleepless nights scouring AliExpress and other local Online stores (namely Lazada and Shopee here in SEA), I've managed to find a longer seatpost. I've also found the seatpost on AliExpress, and I'll update the original post with some links.
Basically, just transferred the parts I had on my "Gravel" bike onto this one. I'm trying to save up for a hydraulic groupset so the Ltwoo R3 would do fine for now. Tires atm are Continental Ultra Sport III 28c. I'm planning on going for 32c in the future for a bit more comfort. I'm planning on getting a longer stem as well so i wouldn't be finishing the build anytime soon.
I'll wait for the new seatpost and stem to arrive before doing the final setup.

Very interesting, really lookes like a carbon frame. They got much better at welding AL, it seems. For a super budget build, it makes sense.

I think they've always been good at welding, it's just that someone decided that alloy frames can be sold for a premium is they add more shaping to make it look like a CF bike. I don't think there was much in between $50 basic tube Al and $500 CF frames until more recently.
hydroformed OEM alloy frames will probably always be a bit lighter b/c reducing welds means thinner tubing.

A lot of mainstream brands don't even bother to clean up the alloy welds. Though I prefer a detachable FD hanger as opposed to a welded one. If that Twitter C6 FD hanger breaks, it'd be a pain to attach a new one.
-
What was the shipping time for you?
-
Pleasantly surprised how smooth the welds are. These are as good as pre-Trek era Kleins. Wow.

That doesn't look like welded hangar. There is a screw that is going through the hangar into the frame?

I said FD hanger, not RD hanger. ;)

Lol :D but isn't that common practice? Hangars on all my bikes are either welded or riveted. Gonna be a pain in either case if one of those breaks. Never actually thought about FD hangar, always about the RD.

Took around a week for me to ship to where I live.

Same. a riveted FD hanger would've been nice for longevity, but seeing its a budget frame can't really complain.

When I add to cart it says that it would deliver to me January 11

Looks good! I notice both your road bikes are 1x. I'm guessing you don't have too many hills! ;)
-
Roads around here are nothing but rolling hills, which actually isn't terrible when I'm in shape...... so right now it's a problem lol.
C6 came with a MTB dinner plate cassette (had to be an 11-46) that I swapped for an 11-34, but I'm wondering if I should switch back. I will find out on my maiden ride tomorrow.

Did you determine your full, built-up bike weight? I imagine it's not a lightweight, just curious how the entire build translated.
Weight aside, that's actually a pretty sharp looking build for such a low price.
-
Wish I could find the geometry of the C4 version. I have seen the C6.

Just weighed it- 9kg flat, but that's with an 11-34 Sunrace cassette, TPU tubes and ~1350g gravel wheels. Out of the box I'd bet it will be closer to 10kg.

That's really not that bad at all. Weighs less than my (admittedly, older) alloy framed / carbon forked Raleigh with 10sp Ultegra and 105 wheels, tpu tubes, and ultegra cassette. Although, yours is a very small frame, still I think my Raleigh is only 49cm, if I remember correctly.

The more I go back and forth between this and the FM639.... the more I want carbon lol. This thing rides a little harsh and you really feel the weight. It's also road focused so you don't get mounting points for luggage and the like. I was gonna sell my Seaboard GR02 but I might just throw drop bars and smaller slick tires on that to see how it does, then put this up for sale. Similar weight, cargo provisions, round seatpost, better geometry for me. Only question is do I go L-Twoo or Sensah for brifters....
I know road bikes are expensive but IMO the extra couple hundred bucks are worth it for carbon. My FM639 is so supple. It almost feels like it has a suspension by comparison despite being on smaller tires and deeper wheels.
