Hello All,
In mid-November, I purchased a frameset on AliExpress and the seller has failed to fulfill the order (80 days and counting).
AliExpress sends me an email about every other day encouraging me to 'apply for a refund'. I can also go through PayPal to recoup my hard earned $$$.
My question is, is there an advantage to using one method over the other? Will I get my money back faster through Ali vs. PP? Does Ali ever keep part of the funds, or are Ali refunds always 100%? These are the things I'm thinking about.
Any guidance here is appreciated. Thanks!

Final edit Feb-22-2025: My order was eventually delivered after ~75 days in transit and 90 days after order.

Aliexpress refund has always worked for me when I open a dispute. Hasn't been many times, but it's been pretty hassle free.

if you have the option to cancel the transaction and get a refund via aliexpress, do that, especially if they're suggesting it to you. it's in the platform's interest that you come back to spend more.
