Was watching some of the youtube videos from the Shanghai Bike Show and thought the Camp Bikes in Trace Velo's video looked pretty neat. I couldn't find much info online. Anyone know more about them? They didn't seem to have specifics about the bikes listed on their website, at least not without creating an account. I got the impression they don't really try to sell to the western market but I sent them an email asking for geometry charts and frame weights anyway, just waiting to hear back.

HAve you been on this website: https://www.campbicycle.com/en/ ? It is pretty informative.

Found this link on their site under "export".
Seems like a pretty aero frame with a nice price-tag. Ihmo it will be a nightmare to order one pcs to EU or US, let alone the shipping and taxes. Oh and forget about warranty, as this brand doesnt seem to be very interested in the export-market.
Lmk if u get any prices. At the end of the day its a fast-looking bike with a low advertised price ;D

I've also stumbled on them on Alibaba months ago.
Jessie Zhuge from Huizhou Chenyang Technology Co. contacted me and send me their whole 2024 catalogue as a PDF. I didn't pull the trigger because I there was no information about the brand and the price seemed too good to be true, 4K USD for a fully built Dura-Ace bike including shipping.

im not sure about thailand, but afaik Camp bike has presence in Malaysia, indonesia n philipines market.
in malaysia, besides java, sava n camp, theres also twitter n alcott bikes.
i've seen ppl race these ar local crits n du/triathlons
-
And Sride mechanical groupsets is new apparently.
-
Yep seen the China Cycling Video and Trace Velo on YT.
Not wanting to offend but that brand name would not go down well in the UK
-
Whats wrong with camp? Something political or just the big logos looking like trek?

I take it your not from the UK
It’s not that “Camp” as a name is inherently bad — it’s just that in the UK, the word has certain connotations. “Camp” is commonly associated with flamboyance or exaggerated behaviour, especially in a theatrical or stereotypically effeminate way.
-
I think it's a bit like Dick as last name.

I wouldn't like to ride a presumably lightweight bike with BIGROCK logo on it either... Asian branding is silly.
-
Agreed they make some great products but the branding in most cases is just crap. I'm not sure but maybe it sounds better in Chinese potentially.
;D
-
I'm happy to tell people the brand name if they ask, but hate most of the names/logos being on the bikes. A clean downtube looks nice.
-
Townraces could be a model name for the song tie in with Blazing Saddles.
-
I also saw Luke's (TraceVelo) Shanghai Bike Show videos and really liked the Camp bike. Very nice looking and competitive pricing. Hope they are willing to go to AliExpress and ship to the US.
-
I asked via instagram and was redirected to whatsapp.
They can ship to Europe but he told me "duty is higher", so I guess it would be taken into consideration.
Anyways, an Ace II frameset price is $480.00 ( including frame , fork , seatpost , handlerbar , headset , F/R axle ), and the and ace 2 ut (ultegra di2) export price is $1850.00 exw, so I think they don't cover the additional costs...
I put here the geometries he sent me as well

Just came across this the other day. No idea if it’s legit, but hopefully a good sign of things to come
I just found this on AliExpress: C$2,590.38 | CAMP ACE7000 PRO Full carbon fiber Road Bike With 105 R7120 24-SPEED For Men or Women

Came across a seller on Alibaba, if anyone's still particularly interested https://chyanebike.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-928685535-6/Carbon_Frame.html

:'( I thought this thread was about a new variation of bicycles primarily for bicycle camping. Not another road bike....

I would have liked that too, but I also really like the name (seriously, it's funny in an odd but non cringe way, waiting for Fruity Bikes next). I associate "camp" predominantly with Subaru women ... which kinda does fit the theme of camping. COINCIDENCE?!
-
Next, we will see a bicycle with a new brand name "Bicycle" There will be different models labeled as: MTN, Road, Gravel, Cross, Hybrid, Electric....
"Bicycle" brand bicycles is as good of a name as say; Specialized, or Trek, ARI (we all know that story!) or the hundreds of other stupid brand names over the years. So why not Camp?
We already have Generic Cycles here in the US.
It is kind of like when you name you dog, "DOG", or your cat "Cat"
Ever since I was able to purchase my first mat black carbon frame, I have been so happy not to advertise a brand name for free.
-
looks like they're making a Cervelo S5 copy. https://www.tiktok.com/@campbike_june/photo/7612929387087891743
-
The Bike Wind tunnel testing is also on their instagram, hopefully it is as fast as it looks. I like the riser bar. Did anyone from EU/Germany order a bike from their brand? Thinking about trying to purchase their new Aero Bike.
-
I don't really like how the flow visualisation looks here, they should not have made the top of the "stem" flat if they were going to angle it so far back
-
I dont think those pictures are representative anyway since it looks like the wheels arent rotating.
-
I messaged camp about the model on Instagram. Apparently UCI approved and they're having a race team test it. No details (geometry/price etc.) Until April and will he available to order from may.
-
I also messaged them on Instagram regarding the Ace Gen 3. They sent me the geometry table, unfortunately it is partly in Chinese, but AI can translate. To me it seems to have more stack compared to the Cervelo S5. Price for the frame is quite good at 530USD without shipping. CAMP seems to focus on Chinese and south american market but probably also ships to rest of the world.
-
Appearantly the New Ace Gen 3 is now available on their website, ~1900USD for full bike with 105 Di2 at 7.1kg is strong imo.

I don't know how realistic that weight is, considering the wheelset alone weighs 1500g 🤔
-
Can the ACE 3 allow for any headset spacers or are you stuck with being slammed?

Just ordered the Camp Ace III...

Looks like a mixture of Colnago and Cervelo S5
