Title: Seraph Bikes TT-X70 vc Spcycle R088
Post by: rwtbne on May 23, 2025, 12:48:00 AM
New Seraph frame TT-X70 looks the same as the SPcycle R088, but the first impression is that it is a bit heavier.

Weight TT-x70 size 52: 870.2 grams

Weight R088 size 58: 858.5 grams

Has anyone had experience with both manufacturers or knows what the difference might be between the two frames in terms of carbon layup?

TT-X70 just got released so I am not sure anyone has their hands on one yet.

They certainly look the same... looks to be the same mould but we are still unsure if TanTan has been making there own frames especially with all that is happening with the X68 on that thread.

With FD/RD hangers attached, my SPCycle R088 in size 52cm came in sub 800g, around 780g. The only thing I can think of is that the carbon fiber layup could be different between the two. My R088 rides pretty good, I really have no complains.

I bought this frame in size 52 based on the quality and the ability to run tires up to 32mm. The quality is so-so, but the problem is that 32mm tires don't fit in the front; the wheel is stuck in the fork. I've already contacted the seller for a refund. I put the bike back together, paying for the other parts, but the bike is unusable. The seller offered me a $30 refund. Is this some kind of joke? I feel cheated. I don't recommend it.

Have you measured the tire yourself? A 32mm tire can blow up to 35mm on wider rims, so that could be your problem.
Just get some smaller tires and forget about it.
