Hey guys anyone got experience with Pillar Tb2015 spokes? I wonder if it's worth upgrading to 1420 wing on a gravel wheelset.
-
I've used these on two builds now withouth issue. I can't compare to the wing spokes though.
-
Take pillar wing or 1420. Those are both 4.2gr / spoke+-
-
I have both on XC wheelsets, just depends on the looks... If you wanna go for Aero looks, choose the wing spokes even tho it probably makes hardly any difference
-
Thanks for all the answers guys. I think I will stick to 2015 and save 70$ for something else :)
-
Easedon or other supplier? Did go for Wing 20 with them, but had same consideration.
-
Yep I get mine from Easedon. They always send a picture of the spokes with the length before shipping, so that's nice.
-
This are the wheels I am considering. Like the shape of the rims, could be a little wider.

I've been using this Pillar Spokes J-Bend TB2015 PSR Triple Butted since 2021. For my 3 bikes (Endurance, Road and Gravel). More than 10 000 Km combined and ZERO issues.
The last one was for my gravel wheelset. The major reason to not buy a pair from any store it's the HUB. I don't like sealed bearings HUB. Always using cup and cone from Shimano OEM.
Total cost: +- 350 USD (pair)

I forgot to mention that a good NIPPLE it's a game changer.
Look at this picture the difference between a cheap vs a Pillar nipple. Both are brass.
