Tomorrow the Tour de France starts in my city. Lille is located near Belgium. I see that the first Tour de France took place in 1903. Note that the winner Maurice Garin covered the Lyon - Paris stage (467 km) at an average speed of 27.8 km/hour with a .......20 kilogram bike on roads whose quality is easy to imagine. That was just a thought. Have a good ride everyone

Oh, so you’re literally Van Rysel? (For my Dutch friends out there?) A bit cold maybe, but what a beautiful city!
No carbon frame, no wind tunnel, no wide IW rims, no electronic transmission, no hydraulic brakes — and worst of all, no oversized jockey wheels — and yet, they still made it. Respect!

on a fixie no less! on the plus side, the seat tube on that first ever TDF winning bike does look reminiscent of the Y1RS! ;D

I'm watching the first stage right now from the USA! Jorgenson, Kuss and Powless!!! LFG!!! ...not a Simmons fan for obvious reasons I hope.
