Title: New Winow TT frame - TT129
Post by: Vansenzo on July 17, 2025, 11:59:24 AM
Hello everyone  ;D,
I haven't seen the topic mentioned here yet!

Terry from Winow informed me by email that a new TT frame has just been released (TT129).
It's already available in very limited quantities and sizes on AliExpress, and mass production is expected in 2 to 3 months, while the molds are finalized and production begins!

The first visible difference is the stem, which is flush with the frame and drilled (a bit like the Cervélo S5). I don't have any more information on the rest.

28C max clearance? Well that's a non starter :/
Also, I'm not ordering from Winow again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Yes... They are having trouble getting used to the new standards...
What problems have you had with them?

If I remember correctly, they ghosted Serge even if He bought a lot of things from them (also problem with warranty with the erx).

But Serge will correct me :D.

Wow the stem is an absolutely shamelss ripoff of the simplon pride II, definitely a source of "inspiration" for other parts of the bike too. It's supposed to be a TT bike so 28c is fine. This stem setup is kinda pointless for a TT bike, doesn't really do much other than add drag, weight and complexity over a normal integrated basebar.

It looks like it's still a 1 1/8th steerer under the covers? Strange that they went from ~35mm WAM clearance on the 119 to this. 28mm is too small to clear a GP5K TT on 23 IW rims, so not sure I agree that it's "fine" - plenty of people will use these for long course or endurance cycling, and the extra width is certainly appreciated there.

Regardless, echoing Serge's comments: I was the TT119 guinea pig here, and I wouldn't buy another one.

28c tyre clearance is really outdated even for a TT bike. The geometry also seems to be much more like a road bike than a TT bike. Stack/reach of 376/541 mm is basically the stack of a size ~58 with the reach of a size ~46 normal TT frame. The general aero design looks good, though. Maybe if you put the Simplon road handlebar on it you'll have a decent aero road bike (with small tyre clearance)? :p

Yeah, that's a road bike with TT tubing and front end.  Short TT, short FC, short reach, STA nowhere near enough (though it couldn't be much more on such a short front end), high BB.

Looks absolutely awful.

stack and reach are measured on top of the stem so it not quite as road bike as that would make it seem, but still a fail for the most part, especially as the stem adds a fair bit of stack
