I currently have these cranks on my bike. The spacing and chainline are terrible ;D anyone got a recommendation of a cheap 3 bolt road crankset that's tried and tested? I tried a senicx one and it was terrible and creaky.

Those are MTB cranks which explains your poor chainline. Any senicx road will do. Are you sure the crank was creaky and not the bottom bracket? I have a few hundred miles on mine and not a sound.

The senicx cranks I used were also mtb cranks 😂
Do you have a link to the ones you're using?

mtb or road cranks best option for gravel frame?
Gravel frames are (except for a few rare exceptions) designed around road cranks.

- Shorter options
- 3 bolt design
- Steel axle
- Durable hollowtech-like assembly
- Cheap
- Relatively light
I have them prior to more expensive cranks to test shorter crank option and have second pair on my GF bike. They are good and reliable. Can't comment on chainrings though.

If going 1X you can run SRAM DUB MTB cranks with a 6mm chainring. Just have to setup the BB with spacers for a 142 frame and youre good to go. I ran this on my old gravel bike.
