Title: Carbon crankset for SRAM XPLR E1 13x

I want to build my new Lightcarbon LCG074 with a SRAM XPLR E1 13x group. Sadly the smallest crankset from SRAM (Force) comes with 36t.

After a bit of calculation and checking with my other bikes, I think this is to much for me and the hills in my area.


Some cranks that would accept 32t would be much nicer. Do you have any recommendations?

- Carbon
- 32 t
- chainline 47.5mm
- BB with 85.5 mm

I'm not sure if this will work bc of chain length,...
why not Just go for the mtb gruppo

Could you explain why do you think this is a problem?

My understanding is, that I could shorten the chain just a few links (2 or 4).


MTB groupset (SRAM Eagle Transmission) in a mullet setup is certainly one idea. But here the problem seems to be, it is designed for a boost rear axle.

No it's not. Just get a mullet if 36/46 is to hard for you. Btw where you live in Himalayan mountains or what? That 36/46 is to hard ?

In Switzerland with a few nice roads with >20% gradient. And I took my MTB (29er) as reference -> 24/36.

Of course one could say: "train more". would be very nice, but with a job, family, friends, there is only so much time left.

Use 8bolt mtb chainring on sram road crankset, simple.

Just go on aliexpress or alugear and choose a 6mm offset 8 bolt chainring
