Title: Replacement crank arms for SRAM Force 8 Bolt
Post by: Hualicopter on September 30, 2025, 01:23:37 PM
I'm trying to find some shorter crank arms for my SRAM Force crankset. Has anyone come across crank arm replacements? I have only seen full on cranksets which I am unsure if I can swap the crank arms over since I have a powermeter I would like to keep. Not sure if this Leese would work?
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256808355287266.html? They don't look like 8-bolts though.

Most of of the chinese carbon crankset come with Easton interface unfortunately.
I have the Zele cranks which are short (down to 140 mm) and come with 8 bolt interface, but they are heavy

this Wuzei also has 8-bolts, i'm also looking into it. weight is good, 8-bolt is there to accomodate my current alugear chainring, but offset/chainline etc is not clarified. any other experiences with Wuzei?

How concerned are you with weight and price?

My reference is going to be if I were to just buy SRAM Force so like $180ish and ~400g. If I could get close to SRAM RED territory for around $250 I'd be happy with that.

Wuzei's stuff above looked good, but I haven't seen anyone comment on it. I have heard some decent things about Zele, but I haven't seen any pricing.

Wuzei has no reviews, anywhere on the internet. it's also a bit short for me, 170mm only.
i'm in the search for a 49mm chainline crankset, 8 bolt preferably. any boost crankset with a 6mm offset chainring would fit.
any clue? i'm also available to get a different chainring attach system, but i like the 3 or 8 bolt honestly.

I,ve bought a zele 160-165mm A12X, it's heavy but it was 52 USD With shipping (Without taxes) to germany. Then i bought the new force E1 in 160mm.

If the Wuzei would come in 160, i would definitely buy one.

How would you understand this technical drawing of the wuzei?

52mm is the chain line?
With a 3mm offset chainring?

Your guess is probably as good as anybody's. Regarding chain line, the drawing is pretty much worthless, as neither is the offset compared to a straight dm ring given nor is there anything known about a supposed default chain ring spider for that crank set (which the drawing might refer to).

There’s no spider since this is an 8 bolt chainring mount. But at the same time a 52mm chain line is “boost”, and boost for a road bike is a non sense. Ok I’ll give up

i've exchanged some messages with the guys of Wuzei store, it seems the chainline at 52mm is given with a 0mm offset chainring.
this also means a 3mm offset chainring will give a 49mm chainline that is ok for my frame.
then i just need to find an 8 bolt 3mm 36T chainring and I should be fine.
but still trying to understand if it's worth the risk.  8)

You should gamble and let me know  ;)

I almost ended up just buying a SRAM Red crank arm sets, but I'm still holding out hah. The new E1 is so light, but it's tough to drop $400+ on a used set.

i think i will try, maybe november or black friday, crank + an amazing chainring from PassQuest for less than 200€, and few grams as 410 or so.

Seems like it's on the heavier side right? I feel like I'd rather just go SRAM Force E1 for a few grams more and save a bit (for US) as well as knowing the quality.

After extensive research : Wuzei cranks seems to be heavier than declared there’s a comment on Ali from a German guy, 372 grams instead of 330. In EU we can get the new SRAM force dub wide XPLR for around 150€ at 408 grams, it’s SRAM carbon so I will go with this eventually.
