Title: Twitter G2 budget alloy gravel frameset
Post by: jonathanf2 on November 04, 2025, 05:59:43 PM

This frame looks to hit the sweet spot for features and price. It has a round seat post mount, UDH, threaded BSA and internal cables for that clean look. Also has a round seat tube if you want to run 2x with an FD clamp.  ;)

Have to replace my canyon endurace frame since i cant find a replacement fork. been looking at this frameset you sent. price is amazing but i'm missing the mounting points on the fork, which almost all of the other gravel frames on AE have these days

If I needed another gravel beater frame, I'd definitely pick-up this frameset. You can try asking the seller if they have forks with cage mounts. Also they do sell aftermarket forks if you shop around.

Here's one with internal routing. Semi-internal gravel forks are usually cheaper:

Really just looking for a city commuter, the odd bikebacking trip and the odd winter ride where i dont want to take my tt or road bike. Thanks for the idea to ask for cage mounts on the fork

The cheap store comes to 280€ with the tax free shipping (and coupon included).

The expensive store 240€ but with free shipping.

VAT rate 25%, don’t know if the ”you won’t pay tax” is guaranteed, and I don’t know how likely it is that I need to pay the taxes.
But all in all the price difference for me isn’t massive.

I was just eyeing the GR02 from Tsunami/Seaboard but this frame is basically half the price.

But is it even a Twitter frame or just branded as one? Nothing on their website about it and very little online in general.

They're selling the G2 as a completed bike build. I presume it's fairly new, hence not much info about it.

Complete bike for sale:

I would message the seller, but I’m guessing anywhere between 1700-2000g for the alloy frame only.

Even better! That's quite reasonable for a gravel alloy frameset.  :)

I doubt the weight a bit. Crux DSW Size 56 for the set is around 2kg.

I ordered a frame during the current sale. Let's see how much I'll have to pay in customs duty, if anything. It cost me €140 for now, which is incredibly cheap for a frame.

Hello! I received my frame today and can confirm that a size L weighs 1,620 g, and the fork comes in at 420 g.

It arrived with thru-axles and a hanger, but no headset, seatpost, or clamp.
The frame itself appears to be of satisfactory quality, but the fork has a few rough edges.

Yea, this frame looks great to me, but I also saw that review with the clearance issue, so keen to see what the deal is.

I put some studded 40mm tires on with no issues (they measure at 40). Seems like 45 mm will fit fine.

My frame set finally arrived after around 90 days. The total cost was:

SubtotalUS $306.00
Coins-US $6.12
AliExpress Coupons-US $40.00
Tax refund-US $41.49
PayPal discount-US $20.00
Cashback-€40.00
Customs+€40.71
Total≈ €168.87 / $200

I can confirm that the finishing on the fork is a bit rough. I hope the brake caliper will fit properly without needing any facing on the fork. My frame also came without a headset or seat post clamp.

Perhaps someone with more experience building bikes can help me. I'm trying to install the headset on the frame. The fork appears to have a molded-in crown race that looks to me like it's at a 45° angle. However, when I try to install the lower bearing, it doesn't sit all the way down, leaving a significant gap. Is this normal? The bearing size is 40mm x 52mm x 7mm: 45x45 deg.

I’m seeing the same thing on my frame. There is a larger-than-expected gap between the lower bearing and the molded-in crown race, definitely more than what I’m used to seeing on other bikes.

That said, everything seats consistently, rotates smoothly, and there’s no play once the headset is preloaded. Functionally it seems correct, even if it looks a bit unusual.

What seatpost diameter does it use? Sellers can't make up their minds.

I suppose that's just the way it is then. I'm not sure how great this is for the bearing's longevity.

Hello! I think you posted in the wrong thread. Your frame is a Seabord GR02 and not a Twitter G2. Those frames have a different geometry and different cable routing.

My Green Frameset arrived on friday, can't decide if I should go 1x or 2x will post some pictures once I have decided. Wanted to let everyone know that mine didn't come with headset, seat post collar, or seatpost. It come very well wrapped with thru-axels, UDH, fork dropout mount and fixing screw. May have to face the fork brake mounts, one had a sticker in place and haven't removed it yet.

I have a carbon integrated bar (topseek) and need some 52mm Bearings x 2. I am worried it's going to be tight fixing mechanical 2x through the headset and downtube exit hole, may need to clean it up a little or put a grommet to stop hoses from rubbing. Green paint looks much better in real life, nice sparkle to it. Anyone else struggling with 1x vs 2x would love to hear thoughts on it.

I ordered mine from Twitter factory, did not come with Headset/bearings, seat post, or seat post collar.
Did come with Thru-Axels, UDH, Fork Drop Out Mount, Fixing screw, and M5 Bolts for cages.

Arrived in 3 weeks from China to Australia, over the festive period, ordered on 15/12/25 and arrived on 09/01/26.

Waiting for 52mm bearings now as don't want to separate my complete headsets (but can if I am desperate) I did try size 52mm bearings and can confirm they are what's required.

I would argue everyone find another manufacturer to buy a frame. Look at this guy finding all the imperfections of the frame. Its just a very poor quality brand.

Well that's why here we are not buying a 300-400 USD carbon frameset - a half of the price from any cheapest verified Chinese OEM manufacturer.

Here's a link to the general inspection of the frame. Apologies for the length, I'm pretty new to this and a little slow. Hope this helps some questions. Just a note that there's no cable stops for the front derailleur so only modern 2x with cable stop front mech (FD) will work oit of the box. I'm just over thinking the setup as I have many 2x options if I go down that route.

I knew that I'd seen one on pictures somewhere, so strange that mine didn't come with one.

I feel it could still work as long as I use an R9 or GRX 400 FD as they have cable stops built in but the kink from the cable out will require a fixture so it doesn't end up with tyre rub. I'm really baffled as to why some would have it and some wouldn't. It has annoyed me as this is the first bike I've planned to go 2x with in a while. Have the cranksets for it and everything. Id have ordered a 1x 12 if Id have known....

Thanks for your feedback mate.

I really like the green, pops beautifully in the sunlight. Once I've built it up, I'll post a video on YouTube in the sunlight. Won't be for another 2 weeks though as I'm waiting on some parts. I've decided to go 1x with some black and silver drivetrain, and a gold chain. Have some panaracers that I think will match the green.

Can't go wrong with silver either though IMHO, but I already have some silver bikes.... it's a hard decision and I promised myself my next build would be white but then I switched to the green right before purchasing

I finally found the time to put most of this together. I just have to bleed the brakes and wax the chain.

I encountered an issue with the Kocevlo X01 integrated bars. The included compression ring was far too thick, leaving a large gap at the headset. I ended up designing and 3D printing my own compression ring to get the fit flush.

I installed a 105 Di2 groupset. This is a bit of an overkill for a cheap frame like this. However, I already had it sitting in a box from another project. The rest of the components are Elitewheels SLR Gravel and a Magene PES515 crank.

All in, weighing about 9.2kg, which is definitely not a weight weenie build, but no surprises there.

Nice build! Definitely looks like an awesome option for a cheap gravel bike. Three questions:
What size did you get and what's your seat height?
Did you by chance measure the bare frame weight before building the bike?
What would be the real max tyre clearance? They say 45c but hopefully you can fit something bigger. Idk if you have some gravel tyres to try but I guess people are interested in the maximum fit possible

I went for a size L (51 cm). My usual seat height is around 76 cm.

As you can see in one of my previous posts, the frame weighs 1610g in size L and the fork 430g.

The tyres I have on measure 37 mm. I still have 10–11 mm clearance at the front and 9–10 mm at the back. So 45 mm is really the maximum I'd put on.

Some insights from someone who got one:

I originally ordered the old version at the start of may and after it didnt ship for 30 days+, I asked whats going on. They informed me of the new version and another 30 days delay. Kind of a bummer because colors and seat post size changed, but 50c wheels and fork mounting points. I decided to wait and after 3 months instead of 30 days the frame arrived 2 weeks ago.

Headset was clean, everything fitted well. Just like in a Aliexpress review I had a bit of paint damage under the top tube.
Price now increased by around 70€ so its not the go-to option anymore....
