Hey guys I just found this bike on AliExpress....been trying to research non carbon frame builders to do a custom design...but this showed up.. Anyone knows anything about them
I just found this on AliExpress:
$1,073.34 | 29er Full Suspension Mountain Bike Frame Durable Steel Full Suspension Frame 150mm Travel 29inch MTB Bike Wheelset

This looks really good but whats going on with the price you postet of around $1000? For me it's 450€ which would be around $500. Tariff problems?
Can't really find any info on shock size but it's probably 210x55
Also what does this little flipchip at the lower shock mount do? If it changes leverage ratio that would be cool.
btw. check out Marino Bikes if you want a custom frame
-
i have checked marino but i want a fully custom design based on my layout....and also my brand name.....
-
I can't imagine that using a different brand name would be a problem as they've operated as an OEM in the past and probably still do.
-
this is the shock specification

Looks like this bike made by Timetry
https://www.vitalmtb.com/photos/features/china-cycle-2025-gallery-1/timetry-cycles
Besides showing up at ChinaCycle2025 can't find anything else about it.
-
Yes it is the same 8)

Yo,
did anyone buy this frame? Do you think it's a real product?
I'm kinda interested in buying this frame as all my current components fit and i like the external cable routing.
-
I'm also very keen on buying one of these, but I'd love to know if anyone else has already.
The paint on the Vital frame is lovely. Shame that colour isn't available on Aliexpress.
-
I would like to buy but I don't find the sadle insertion length
-
This frame is also available on TaoBao (https://click.world.taobao.com/_b.Qb23Qo) with international shipping to NZ, at least.
I just found out that the TaoBao Android app has an English-language interface so I will probably purchase from there.
Right now, only the size small is available, but they will restock the other sizes after Chinese New Year.
The small frame with the non-CNC rocker link is only $650 NZD / $385 USD, including (sea) shipping to NZ, which is pretty crazy. The medium frame is $100 NZD more expensive. They also have a flex-stay version available for a bit more money, but there's no pictures of it.
I asked about dropper post insertion on the medium frame and they said it should be 200-230mm so I guess a 150-170mm dropper might be possible depending on your height.
I also asked if the red colour shown at the China Cycle show would be available and they said they have no plans for it :(
-
I've attached a couple of images of the flex stay frame.
What do people think of this vs the traditional 4-bar? I guess it's less maintenance and weight, but I'm unsure of how it would ride and whether it might be at risk of cracking.
The [Reeb SST](https://reebcycles.com/collections/bikes/products/sst) has a similar design, but it's a shorter travel bike.
-
wow thanks for the additional info. Kinda sad about the red color but i'm more interested in that green one anyways.
Dropper insertion lenght seems to be kinda bad. just for reference, OneUp 180mm is around 260-270mm maximum insertion. So you will not be able to fully insert the seatpost.
I have never seen a flexstay on a bike thats advertised as 150mm travel and i would go for the traditional design tough steel is basically made for this type of application.
-
thanks for update, I think I choose the frame with 4bar linkage :)

Do you or anybody else know how complicated it is to buy from Tao Bao for the USA?
The AliExpress link above says "not available for shipping to me," and I am located in USA. Tao Bao seems like it might be possible, but I need to use some additional service and calculate tarriffs myself?
-
I think it is same like ALI, taxes not include

Yeah, the dropper insertion isn't great, but the seatpost is quite short so I think I would be able to run a 180mm post still.
Merida make a 160mm travel flex stay frame in aluminium and carbon, but I would still go for the traditional 4-bar on this frame.

I don't know about the USA, but before the TaoBao app was available in English in NZ, I think you had to use some sort of 3rd-party buying and shipping forwarding service, and yes I'm pretty sure that you'll need to deal with taxes and duties yourself.

I just found this one which is also "Yueh" oder "Timetry" branded.

Not steel anymore but for me this looks a bit more interesting.
44/55 Headset
210x55 Shock 20x8 and 32x8
31.6 Seattube and this one seems to be straight so insertion depth might be alot better
i might just buy this one as all my parts would fit.. gotta build my gravelbikes first tough

Taht frame looks amazing!

Where are you find the rear shock spécification because I found on picture 210x50?
-
You can use 210x50 or 210x55mm.-> 50mm 140mm and 55mm 154mm travel
Also I have seen that someone change the shock mount to mount 230x6xmm shocks
-
Ok Thanks
Where do you find all this information ?
I buy the L size but it is not available
-
Video about the high pivot frame: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tDiPcSC5a8
It's also mentioned here: https://singletrackworld.com/2025/05/china-cycle-expo-dji-bikes-lewis-ti-high-pivots-and-more/ and here https://road.cc/offroad/content/feature/2025-shanghai-bike-show-all-the-bikes-and-shiny-new-tech-17027
Which do you think would pedal better, the steel frame (1kg heavier) or the high pivot (with an idler)?
-
My choice is for high pivot, I place an order on L size frame, April to receive the frame
-
I ordered a Medium blue one...
-
would be cool to find out about max dropper insertion and how the cable routing is supposed to work. looks like its external but there are these rubber things for internal routing.
also where do the cables for the rear go? So from downtube to chainstay looks like you gotta be a little creative there?
-
Whoa! I haven't been here in a bit. I stop by to see what's new and I see this sexy steel frame. I've always wanted to try a steel bike. Very interesting. That thing looks awesome!
-
My Frame arrived yesterday…
-
That's awesome! Can't wait to hear your impressions of it.
-
Yes, tell us what you think! Both of the build quality and ride impressions.
-
I’also very keen to hear your ride impressions. Can’t find anything online for them; brand presence, factory etc. Which usually is a red flag for me (spareparts etc).
-
little Update... weight 15,55kg
-
Really cool. I've had my eyes on this since this was at a bike show.
Geo looks aggressive (long and slack). The welding on that ISCG mount for a bash guard looks really bad though (shame it's not got a third hole too for a chain guard).
Also wish they didn't come with that logo/brand/YUEH on the downtube (can always paint the frame though I suppose).
-
Coil shock fits!
-
The alloy high pivot bike is awesome and I want to here impressions, but I'm still intrigued by that steel beauty
-
I still plan to buy the steel frame when it is back in stock in larger sizes. Timetry said they'll restock in May last time I asked.
-
Good info. Thank you
-
Good info. Thank you
Wich contact do you have from trimetry?
thanks
regards
-
I have same info...
-
I wrote to them on TaoBao, that's all. The store name is Timetry Yun Dong Zi Xing Che
-
thanks
-
I've ordered the steel frame in black. It cost 700 NZD (400 USD) in including shipping and taxes. I'll report back here once i have my hands on it.
-
That's awesome. I'm seriously pumped to hear how this frame is!
-
I see the high pivot frame was featured in pinkbike's coverage of the china bicycle show tosay
-
I thought this may be the high pivot frame, but I dont think it is. Similar.

this is wissco frame

Hi everyone, I’ve just ordered the steel version, on which I plan to build a bike mainly focused on bike park riding. I’d really appreciate any feedback if someone already has experience with it.
I’m mainly wondering about the rear shock and the optimal travel for this frame. On the website, I only saw a photo of the frame showing a 210x55 shock mount. Could anyone confirm that?
-
Not sure if anyone else has it yet. Very interested in hearing your impressions of it, though.
-
Thanks for the reply. I have to admit, this will be a total experiment, as I’m planning to build this frame as a single speed bikepark setup with 27.5" wheels.
I’ve been riding for over 20 years and have quite a lot of experience, but I’ve never decided to try something this crazy before.
-
Still waiting for mine to arrive, but everything I've seen says it takes a 210x55 shock.
I think the BB will be very low as a full 27.5, but maybe it's not a concern for park riding.
I plan to eventually set mine up as a mullet with a +1° angle set and a 150mm fork. In that configuration the BB height will be comparable to similar travel bikes from, e.g. transition (with the flip chip in low), and the HTA will be around 64-64.5°
-
You have a very good idea with changing the head angle using anglesets, and I’m planning to do exactly the same. As for the bottom bracket height, I don’t have any particular concerns because I want to use very short cranks, 145 mm. The only thing I’m wondering about is whether it’s possible to achieve 160 mm of rear travel and 170 mm at the front, so as not to mess up the geometry and to make sure everything works properly.

They are currently working on a gearbox version of the high pivot frame. Chinese Gearbox would be pretty sick?
-
A gearbox version? Now that is interesting!
-
My frame finally arrived. It was well packed, and the overall quality makes a very good first impression.

Sweet! Mines waiting for me when I get back to NZ.
What size frame did you get and what's the seatpost insertion depth?
Cheers!

Can't wait to hear impressions on the build and especially on how it rides!

Since this is a 100% custom project, I decided to make a few modifications to the frame. The frame has been completely sandblasted, and some of the components have been satin-finished. I also decided to weld additional reinforcements around the head tube area.
At this point, I’m just about to have the frame painted and assemble the entire bike, as I already have all the parts available.
As for the seatpost insertion depth, it is 117.5 cm
-
not sure what to make of the 117.5cm insertion depth :D
If you disassembled the frame, what do you think of the hardware? bolts bearings etc. all good?
-
All the hardware is literally no different from other frame brands I've had, like Transition. Everything is really high quality. If you need, I can send you some photos. Overall, the frame and the finish make a really good impression. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is how it'll actually ride and how stiff the rear triangle will end up being
-
I got my frame built up. It's a size medium and, although the seat post insertion is quite short, I'm able to run a 200mm dropper (I'm 178cm tall). I'm very happy with that.
The quality of the frame seems really good. I'm not a welder, but the welds on the frame look really tidy, and the paint finish (metallic grey) looks great. The only thing I don't like is the gold decals, but it was the only available option for a medium frame. I am not very patient!
I took the linkage apart, excluding the main pivot, and the alignment, hardware and bearings are all good. I took the opportunity to polish up the rocker link as the machining was a bit rough. There were no problems with pressing in the headset cups and threading in the BB etc.
I'm running a 150mm fork and, whilst I'm waiting for the correct weight coil to arrive for my DHX2, I've temporarily borrowed my wife's 210x55 Float X, which gives ~135mm rear travel.
I took the bike for a short ride on our local "enduro" trails today and first ride impressions are good. It pedals way better than I expected, comparable to my wife's Norco Fluid FS A1, and a lot better than my Zerode Katipo. It'll be interesting to see what it rides like with the longer stroke coil shock.
The only "chiner" parts are the frame and the brakes (Onirii IV4R). Otherwise, it's a parts bin / second-hand parts / clearance deals build. I splurged a bit on the DHX2 shock and a Sprindex coil, so the full build has come in around $2,500 NZD ($1,500 USD).
-
Wow, congratulations! The bike looks absolutely fantastic. I’m really excited about this build.
Could you answer a couple of questions for me? With this shock length and fork travel, does the head angle actually come out to 63.8°? Also, do you know what shock tune/valving is required to achieve 150 mm of rear travel?
Thanks!
-
Wow! that bike looks amazing. I love it. Please post more ride impressions? Is it flexy? Is it crazy heavy? Can you tell a difference between the steel frame and an aluminum one?
-

I made a typo in my last post, I'm running a 210x50 shock which gives ~135mm travel. The frame is designed around a 210x55 shock which gives 150mm travel. Either way it doesn't affect the head angle. With the 150mm fork, head angle should be around 64.2°. Shock tune and valving doesn't affect travel.

I've been on a few rides now. The weight isn't an issue, it climbs nicely. You can feel some flex if you lean the bike over and stand on the BB, but hasn't been apparent (negatively) when riding. It may just be placebo, but it tracks really nicely through rock gardens and off camber roots. I would need to do some side by side testing with the same wheels and tyres to say if there was really a noticeable difference to an alloy frame.

Can you confirm what the insertion depth is? I can’t work out what you mean by 117.5cm
Thanks
-
It's how far into the frame you can insert a dropper post before it hits an obstacle

I know that but I doubt it has a insertion of over 1 meter, which 117.5cm is.

Oh yes good point. On my medium frame insertion is 220mm (250mm if you count the actuator). As mentioned, I'm able to run a 200mm dropper with about 20mm of 'spare' insertion depth.
By way of a general update, I have the frame set up with a coil shock and I've done about 120km of riding now (~6,000m descending), pretty much all 'enduro' type trails. I'm really happy with the bike and I've had lots of compliments on the frame from other riders.
-
I finally managed to finish building my bike, and I’m excited to share the result with you guys!

Wow it looks incredible! Hard to believe it's the same bike. The way you have painted it almost makes it look like a lugged frame. I love all the silver parts too. Did you get a chance to ride it yet?
Can you give a run down of the full build spec and where you think the geometry has landed?
-
Thanks so much for appreciating my project! It took me quite a while to put everything together, but I’m really happy with the final result. I’m planning to take it to some local dirt jumps soon. I’m also heading to a bike park later this month, so hopefully I’ll finally get to see how it rides!
Apart from the lower ride height resulting from running 27.5-inch wheels, the geometry remains pretty much unchanged.
