Title: Senicx PR3 pre load screw
Post by: johnnyboy4711 on December 15, 2025, 04:49:41 AM
hi all,
Tried an alu ZTTO one i had laying around and too large.

looking to order 2 or 3 as was cycling and plastic preload fell out and crank arm started to come away from crank.
reached out to Senicx themselves and seller on AE waiting to hear back asap.

anyone find compatible ones on AE or elsewhere?

possibly shimano might work but none to try.

26mm wide at base
18mm thread width
10mm thread height
m18?

Using a Shimano preload cap won't work, unfortunately, at least based on my test with a 105 and a PR3 crank. The diameter of the 105 thread is approximately 2mm wider than the PR3 one, and maybe 5mm longer. I couldn't find any identifying marks on the PR3 cap - sorry it isn't as straight-forward as one might hope for.

M18 is the correct size. I have tried both of these and it works

I have the same crankset on my gravel and last summer lost the screw; I bought a VXM M18 screw and works fine.
I tried with a Shimnao slx screw but was different diameter (if I remember well m19)

thanks all,
i would have checked back here more regularly  it would have saved me research time!
M18 seems to be the job alright!
Ordered from amazon be here in a few days as planning some biking over the holidays.

PR3 cranks are not protruding enough to mate with crank arm on NDS. so preload screw struggling to hold it all together . 2-3 mm is all it takes! with PR3(assumed better fit to bb shell that senicx mtb cranks) on lexon gravel frame with pressfit flush to shell BB.

quick/inexpensive fix  - longer m18 screw
longer/expensive fix - zrace blade cranks possibly.

what cranks you using on your gravel bikes?

thanks again!

PR3 is for road BB. So it will be short if your bike uses MTB size BB shell. I use MTB crank for mine since it is MTB standard. Although I want to try a DUB I think those have longer spindle
