Can cable ports be added to the frame? i don't want to have to route through the headset. is that an option?

I have been thinking about the specs for this frame.
1. Super boost 157 rear hub: - Superboost hasn't taken off as a standard. Yes, superboost builds a strong rear wheel, (perhaps great for a 32 rim), but a rear hub can cost $250 to $500 each. I never found an Aliexpress store that sells 157mm rear hubs. I once had a hub manufacturer quote me to build 157mm rear hubs, but I didn't know what I would do with a bunch of slow selling rear hubs.
2. 73mm BB shell width. When I had my superboost based TI bikepacking frame fabricated, I decided to go with an 83mm BB shell. If you go with a 73mm shell width, then the selection of cranksets available, that supports the 56.5mm chainline becomes limited. By having an 83mm BB shell width, the crankset selection let me chose form a lot more cranks and all I had to do was use the proper width crank axle.
3. On a positive note, a couple stores in Aliexpress are selling 32er carbon rims. Yeah!!
4. As far as I can tell, there are only 2, 32er tires available. The Maxxis Aspen and the Vee Tire T-Monster Tire. Both start over $100 each.
Do I want to become an early adopter, or wait to see if this is just another short lived trend.

You can get the M8130 xt super boost rear hub for 39.99 brand new from universal cycles. It is actually cheaper than the matching front hub. I am ordering that combo shortly. Also I like the ALiexpress rims. Nestor has some new ones that are 340g but I was quoted $500/rim for those bad boys. So the $180 rim at 440g seems like a much better deal. My current hang up is spokes. I know Berd makes them long enough and I have heard that dt Swiss are available up to 320mm which would be long enough but I can't seem to find a source for them. Also I have heard that macOS is coming out with 4 additional tires models in the 32" size. Definitely would be an early addopter at the moment but it seems to be picking up quickly. Kind of like the fat bike phenomenon from 10yrs ago.

Shhh!!!! Don't tell the world about this great price on these hubs. Seems like a screaming deal. So much so, I just placed an order for 4 hubs. For Superboost real wheels, the M8130 has been the most cost effective hub, (although a bit heavy) around. - I've built 6 rear wheels to date using this hub for my 2 superboost based bikes.

Thanks. 110mm would built a stronger front 32 wheel, but isn't absolutely necessary since it is a front wheel. The majority of my front wheels these days run on 110mm wide suspension forks and 29er rigid 110mm carbon forks.

I know Wren and Intend make one currently. I can't fathom that the other brands can't change there springs to adjust like Wrens.

the only existing forks that will/would work are the inverted forks that don't have an arch on the lowers. I wonder if a solution like what BMC did with extenders for the bottom of the fork would ever be sold to the masses. that would be the perfect solution, since you could just use existing forks with adapters.

I’m glad to see someone offering a 32 carbon.
I’d send my money now except I’d like to see BSA, boost spacing, and clearance for at least a 2.6 because there will likely be bigger tires in the near future.

This is making me think seriously about building up a 32" bike.
I didn't see details on the cable routing. Do the cables run through the headset? I would greatly prefer external routing. I expect that many people will need to adjust their bar height and stem length to get a good fit, and that is harder with internal routing.

I am still waiting to hear back on some questions and get a final invoice but I was told that cable ports could be added to the frame. This frame does have headset routing by default.

My issue is spokes. I plan to build my own wheels and finding hubs is easy. There are multiple companies making rim like nextie an ALiexpress. The issue is I need spokes in lengths of 314 to 317mm and no one has them. Except Berd but they are $9 a piece. So that is my current hurdle.

That could be an issue. I think I still have some spoke sizes up to 330mm long from the old days when I built some 4 cross tandem rear wheels with lower flange hubs. When I get a chance I will look in my spoke tote to see what long spokes I have.
The other possibility is to join and place a "want ad" on this facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/bicycle.wheel.building. There are many shops and sellers always trying to sell spokes and rims from the "good ole days"

A little bit of internet research indicates that the longest off-the-shelf spokes are in lengths up to 315mm. Supposedly metal spokes can be fabricated up to 340mm. (Pro wheel builder and Phil Wood are listed as custom spoke fabricators in the US.)
Berd PolyLightX Spokes are the other option.
Turns out the longest spoke in my spoke tote are 304mm

So I have found 2 options. There some unicycle spokes that are straight gauge and come in 316 and 317. The only other option is Berd spokes. I will likely make the jump and go with Berd spokes. The unicycle spokes are very pricey for heavier straight gauge spokes at over $3.50 per spoke so I would rather pay 2x more for berdsand save a ton of weight. I was really hoping to find some butted DT Swiss spokes for under $2/spoke. Supposedly they are made but I could not find them anywhere.

DT Swiss Champion spokes are lists as being available up to 320mm. Perhaps contact DT and ask who has purchased the length you need and/or they might sell directly to you.

New update on the wheel front. I reached out to Prowheelbuilder in the US about long spokes. they have confirmed that they have received a lot of interest in 32er wheel builds. they are working with DT Swiss and Sapim to get the longer spoke blanks. they also said that they needed some new parts from Phil Wood for the spoke threading machine to be able to thread a full length spoke. so hopefully by the time my rims show up they will have them available. if not I will take out a second mortgage and get some Berds. ahahaha.
Good news on the tire front is that Maxxis seems to have stock their tires ready to go. I was able to just order from them directly and they shipped them out ASAP. really seems like the 32er trend is catching on quickly.
hopefully someone will find a solution to add some length to a 29er fork and allow existing forks to be used for the new wheel size. that would dramatically improve adoption instead of needing to drop $1600 plus on an Intend fork.

I ah e not seen or heard anything on new forks. That is until today when GMBN posted a video with a prototype Manitou fork, Reynolds carbon wheels and Schwalbe Rick XC tires. All new and unreleased. But that means that companies are working on it. Are there alternatives to the Intent Samurai that goes over the counter for about 1.400 Euro? Did RockShox and Fox make any announcements that they have a 32" fork coming?

Thoughts regarding the rear axle spacing choice for this frame, which is supposed to be 12x157mm (Super-Boost "standard", commonly used on DH/Gravity bikes and e-bikes), that limits the hub choice for the rear, as I can only find 32 hole hubs (and all J-bend, none Straight-pull) on AliExpress (Goldix DH350 and Koozer BM550, to name a few). Isn't this choice a bit overkill for a XC frame, even if on a 32er? I mean, the rearhub itself is reinforced for the harder use of DH/Gravity, which makes it heavy, and only in 32 hole option, this also means the wheelset will be tough but rather heavy, I guess...
From what I could gather from a few other 32er frames found online, there seems to be a mix of options between normal Boost (12x148mm) and Super-Boost (12x157mm) rear axle spacing, so at this early stage of 32er life, the future path doesn't seem to be clear, as expected. Also, the Super-Boost choice will affect chainline and possibly crankset Q-factor (depending on the crank choice).
So, as I'm considering this frame for a 32er build, I'm not sure if this rear axle choice was a hit or a miss, as it may have some advantages in stiffness and durability, but at least for XC use, it seems a bit overkill and for sure it vastly limits hub choice for wheelset building....
I'm currently waiting for some news regarding the M size frame and matching carbon fork availability in stock, so I'll be following this topic... :)

someone else curious about the stand-over-high of the frame?
From my experience it will be ok for a road bike, but for an MTB it's way too high (for my taste at least).
Maybe I read the geo document in post #1 in a wrong way. I see 800mm in size L which is way more as most 120mm 29er full susser in XL have.

Not really. If you consider that for the same tyre model, by itself, a 32" rim hub/center will stand 1,5 inches higher from the ground than a 29" equivalent, those standover numbers don't seem out of place, at least for me, being that I'm no bike geo expert...

Regarding Super-Boost, I like the standard and had 2 custom Super-boost TI Waltley 29er frames fabricated 3 years ago. I keep hoping that Superboost will gain traction and a wider variety of components/brands become available. The issue I faced was weather of not to go with a 73mm BB width or 83mm with BB shell. I found that with a 73mm BB shell, the availability of cranks becomes more limited, in order to achieve the 56.5mm chainline that Superboost requires. Therefore, I went with an 83mm BSA shell width.
I discovered that the most cost effective rear hub is the Shimano XT FH-M8130-B Rear 12x157mm Super Boost CL Disc Hub Microspline 32h. I paid as low as $70 each. By my standards, these hubs are heavier then I like, but they are bullet-proof and build a very strong wheel. I paired this hub with a ZTTO MS compatible ultralight cassette.

I normally ride XL, but think the L could made to fit for me, as long as I run it with a shorter fork and shove the seat all the way aft to compensate.

Regarding frame size, the choice right now is still limited to the availability of just the L size. So, I went for that size, also considering and comparing the frame geo to my current 29ers in L size, a Scott Spark RC and a Cannondale Scalpel HT.
My 32er wheelset was already built and shipped, currently on its way from China to Europe... 8)

A friend in NL has some spare new Aspens in his store, but it's not a web store. If someone needs tires I could probably get them to you, he bought extra just in case this would be a one time opportunity.
The Peyote 2.4 is testing as extremely well rolling.
When I rode the Aspens they seemed very capable already and all the testers say that of the 32x2.4" version. I'm curious how the Peyote will ride on rough technical gravel singletrack.
Already thinking I'll be wanting a Schwalbe Rick XC Pro or Maxxis Forekaster front. Even Maxxis Dissector, if it bring me meaningful extra cornering speed and not too much extra rolling resistance.
The Rick rolls really well as well it seems from John Karrasch's testing. I had a similar Rick Race in 29" but it wore out really quickly as a rear.
Please, before you rush and build your frame and fork, take an accurate weight measurement? We'll all know, and can eventually access manufacturing consistency.
If you ride a lot of tight trails, you may want to consider an angle adjust headset (not sure which exact one will fit), to get the head tube angle on the Tideace 1 or 2 degrees steeper. With the stock fork, the trail figure is on the very extreme end of slow steering response, a combination of slack head tube, short offset and large wheel all working together to result in slow handling. It also results on a very long front end, but with the unusually long chainstays that may well work out in terms of not unweighting the front wheel. If you ride exceedingly challenging descends you may even go slacker on the head tube, but then a rigid fork is probably less than ideal anyway.
Once suspension forks become more easily available in a reasonable price range, the Tideace might be a great candidate for an 80 mm fork. The 80mm would steeper (quicken) the bike up a bit, and get the bottom bracket down to a more typical height. The resulting tilt will see you wanting to slide the seat back though, and that may call for a shorter stem. If you got an L when you're more of an XL fit, this is just a welcome tweak.
With a 100 mm travel fork, it will ride much as with the rigid fork, although some forks will offer more offset to achieve more agile steering.
Some custom builders offer reasonably priced custom steel rigid forks. Won't be light, but will offset a change to tweak steering response and perhaps even choose another hub standard. Some may want to run a rear hub up front as well in case their rear freehub fails. It could also be a singlespeed hub with wide flange spacing as a bail out for on trail wheel swap.
I'm curious about the announced SR Suntour 32" fork. It seems to be quite light and might well suffice for my riding, no need to get a Fox or Intend?

In my case, this 32er project is more a thing out of curiosity for the wheel size novelty, so my planned used for this bike is only gravel roads and light trails, at easy going pace (like recovery and family rides), the main reason being it will be a "full-hard" MTB. The cost of the only available 32er fork, the Intend, by itself is above the total cost of this project for me, ready to ride! Even if other fork brands come up with their 32er forks, it will be a long time before product lines trickle down and prices reach "normal" levels for those new options. So for me, this 32er will keep its "full-hard" condition for the foreseeable future!

Excellent!
For gravel rides with an MTB or alt bar, such a frame could be exceedingly good. Handling if too sluggish can be tweaked a bit with an angle adjust headset and/or a custom steel fork with heaps more offset.
The Wren fork appears to really exists at about half the price of the Intend, but I'm not hearing the greatest things about it.
I'm hoping to get an answer from SR Suntour, it would be nice if their 32" fork is up to stuff.
I now ride a Fox from 2014 and a Suntour ought to be to that quality level by 2026, I would think, perhaps naively so.
Have you gotten wheels yet? The XT 157 mm hub seems to be the best on the market in terms of spoke bracing angles but for gravel riders I guess even the faux-superboost options (same flange spacing as 148) in 157 mm will be just fine. Some wheel brands focus on absolute minimal deflection, other promote "compliance" and design for it. I'm not sure which way I'm going to be preferring.
Since the time Tideace announced this project, the rest of the market seems to have backed away from Superboost and going with regular boost for now, and then for XC and gravel bikes both. Reasoning is that 29" Enduro seems good enough with 148 mm so 32" XC will probably be just fine as well.

My wheelset is already in Europe, set to be delivered until next wednesday. Once it arrives, I'll check the weight, and install the Aspen tires, cassette and 180mm discs! 8)
Regarding the hub standard discussion, I've done some research prior to placing my order for this frame, looked into a lot of prototypes 32er bikes, and from the ones that listed the type of rear hub, it was almost 50/50 between Boost and Superboost, I found...

If I were a betting man I would put money on the standard for 32er's to be super boost. Firstly, it is a new(ish) standard and it is a great way for the industry to sell all new stuff to people. Second, as gullible as people are to marketing BS, there is not real defensible position to going with boost over superboost. So while some frame now are coming in boost, I would guess that once the big evil bike corporations start making them, they will be super boost and boost frames will become relics of the past.

If I were a betting man I would put money on the standard for 32er's to be super boost. Firstly, it is a new(ish) standard and it is a great way for the industry to sell all new stuff to people. Second, as gullible as people are to marketing BS, there is not real defensible position to going with boost over superboost. Wheel brand Newmen has been putting out studies and really pushing for 157 mm for 32".
Industry Nine and Berd seem to ahve chosen for 148 mm so far.
Hardly anyone is going to unlace 29" hubs to build 32" wheels, so it doesn't matter a lot. There's just not many 157 mm hub out there that actually make the most of the width to space the spoke flanges.
Shimano XT is the best one it seems, and the true superboost alternatives are all relatively exotic.
The main problem with 157 mm for me might be that I don't trust frame designers to actually invest 2 minutes to engineer a bend in the chainstays that ensure heels get the optimal clearance.

In other news, my 32er wheelset arrived last friday. The wheels look very well built and the seller at AliExpress was very supportive and helpful to build the wheelset following my exact specification, so I can recommend his service.

The wheelset weight is 1800g (front 830, rear 970) with tubeless valves, ready to use straight out of the box, as I chose sealed rims (without internal spoke holes) and they don't require tubeless tape. These were custom built by the seller for this frameset (with SuperBoost rear hub).
Now on to install the Maxxis Aspen 32x2.4 tires, 180mm rotors and cassette. To test them, I'll need to get the frame and fork, that's been delayed...
P.S.: I forgot to mention that I chose the "Seller's Shipping Method" for DPD duty free delivery in Europe and it took exacty 3 weeks to arrive!

100%! This frame is the only option listed/available frame from a chinese manufacturer site or at AliExpress, afaik. Also, even with the price premium from a 29er, it's still a lot cheaper compared to any of the other few 32er frames available elsewhere right now...

Tantan just asks $299 for theirs.
They're angling for OEM deals now though, so only selling via email. I don't have a desire for a suspension fork just yet and only the very expensive Intend is a viable option at the moment.
With shorter chainstays and less extreme steep/slack geomtry, I would have ordered the Tantan anyway. It's great for someone's riding, but perhaps not for my local trails.
The Tantan has even longer chainstays than the Tideace, even steeper seat tube and designed around a 120 mm fork. This makes the Tideace for my use case easier to setup in a way close to my needs, as long as I keep it on a slightly shorter rigid fork.
If the Tideace would be a more middle of the road design I might be promoting it on my 32 inch bikes subreddit. Alas, it's quite long so perhaps takes sizing down and suit mostly taller riders.
Next is Big Rock. They've shown of a size Small bike that has short chainstays and bespoke VERY low bar/stem combo. If anyone know how to actually get in touch with them...supposedly they're working on 4 sizes.

I've asked Tideace with questions to understand to which extent they could update their mold(s) to make it an easier product to choose and endorse, but no response on that.
Some clever tweaks could make it the hottest thing on the market, like 22 years ago the Surly Karate Monkey, then the only viable 29" frame set. It was weirdly tall, but it worked and came in 4 sizes.
Meanwhile, Big Rock on Alibaba has a 900 gram T1000 32" frame on sale...size Small only...
Pricy, but it gets a lot cheaper if you order together with a few friends.
The Tantan Saraph frame is $299 (order only via email) but really requires a 120 mm fork and the geometry is more restrictive than Tideace's. Longer chainstays and all about long climbs and long downhills, not as suitable for flatland trails IMO.
I'd love to have a well designed alu frame, quite frankly, if the price is fair.
How'd you guys consider a 100 mm corrected alu frame? I could order batches of 50 per size, but I really don't look forward to the logistics.

The first batch of the frame itselt in L size and black matte color was ready to ship over a month ago, it seems. The delay, at least in my case, was because of the 32er carbon fork that keeps having it's prodution date postponed. I guess other buyers who, like me, went for the 32er frame+fork are on the same boat...

I would have expected someone to just go for the Intend Samurai or Wren forks.
Perhaps there just were very, very few orders and all included the fork.
Weird to not have any steel/alu prototypes before it, accept people's money before a mold is made, and then run so late with what seems a relatively simple and established product in a fork.
44 mm offset is on the short side for 29", for 32" in my opinion really too short. Else I'd be waiting for the fork as well.
When going rigid, I may just get a 500/51 or 510.51 fork and add a crown race spacer and/or external lower cup to get to ~520-530 mm.
Meanwhile, Big Rock has the Small 32" for sale now on Alibaba. They don't plan to offer an XL, perhaps their market focus is all on Asia.

According to the lastest info I have, the frame only option in L size, in black matte finish, is ready to ship. The glossy black takes about 1 week to ship, and other color options should take at least 1 week to ship also...

I have a Marino steel frame and fork on order and it is going to be an xc bike.
This is going to be a flatbar gravel with pretty short carbon fork.
Allmost all the parts for both bikes are coming from Aliexpress.
Got Koozer hubs at home and carbon rims on the way for the xc, Gravel has Tanke hubs allready, but havent ordered rims yet.
I have Teravail Camrocks for the xc, but havent found skinnier gravel tires yet.

Lots of developments on the Big Rock. I think I may have part of an effort by many to convince them to put greater effort in the design.
Just like the TideAce and Tantan, the Big Rock fits a full size longer than what you think you're buying. You're going to end up stretched out or with a much, much shorter stem than on flagship 29" bikes.
I just published an article on Reddit to explain where designers go wrong. Tideace knew about it, but didn't adjust their plans. They did change their BB drop from 58 mm to 82 mm and did raise their seat tube length to at least fit better for the people that the top tube/reach will actually work for.

Tideace are trying to offer a 490 mm 29" fork in stead. That's a bad, bad, bad, bad, idea, unless you actually understand what this does to a bike designed for 531 mm. The BB may still be tall enough (because it's made too tall to begin with), but the angles steepen ~2º and at the seat tube angle this poses a problem. Very few people can ride a bike fitting that way, and the L become long fitting even for an XL.

My frame finally arrived, L size in black glossy finish, weighs 1380g on my cheap AliExpress luggage scale (with chainguide, rear TA, UDH and seatpost clamp).
Just put the rear wheel on to get a sense of size, see attached picture... 8)

Right now, I don't know what's the current state on the 32er fork, as I've stopped asking them for updates. My original order from mid April was for a 32er frame and fork, at the time the fork was supposed to be available by the end of that month, but it's availability was continuously postponed. At some point I was offered that fork swap to the 29er version, which I didn't accept and kept believing the new availability dates for the 32er fork they were telling me. Until I stopped believing, cancelled that original order and placed a new one just for the frame in mid June. So, I guess I lost 2 months trusting the fork was going to happen and it never did... :-\

Not sure about that... this frame is going to paintshop first and I dont actually have the rims or tires for this frame yet, they are on their way...
These shown in pictures are for My Marino frame, witch should be ready for shipping in about a week.
