Post by: alfiomotrambo on December 30, 2025, 07:52:25 AM
Hu guys,
i've recently installed this pass quest chainrings https://it.aliexpress.com/item/1005005952902663.html (https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_c3kgQkzn), in the box there is a couple of washer (24 and 29 mm) what should i use it for?
Are those necessary? Just installed without the spacer and work just fine, any advice?

I think it is because of the Q-factor. Shimano 12-speed chainrings have a different Q-factor (+2 mm) compared to Shimano 11-speed. Because of this, you need to add a washer. Pass Quest makes their chainrings universal for 11/12-speed, but the Q-factor matches the 11-speed Shimano chainrings. I added a 1 mm washer because the FD-8150 front derailleur does not have enough adjustment range.
