Title: HELP ME FIND MY DOWNCOUNTRY FRAME ;)
Post by: easyriderZO6 on January 21, 2026, 07:10:25 AM
I am currentry on a trail frame 130/140.

I ride 30-50km of mixed flats flow ans tech

I was considering a transition spur or epic evo 8 but the prices are absurd. I do have chinese carbon hardtail that i love and its been amazing ( devel project meta v3) so i thought why not make it a project.

So i come yo you asking to the best options in 2026 to a downcountry frame, i dont race, i prefer strength and over 100 gram savings in a frame. i prefer modern geometry. not conservative one.

i have been looking at the lexon flyer, and the spycycle 868.

Thanks!

I do want to add that dh capabilities are inportant. i have been also looking at carbonda 1001 but this might be an overkill.

You want 120mm rear and front and a slack steering angle? Anything else important?
Carbonda has a 120mm version of the 909, steering angle 67°.
Does that tick all your boxes?
