Title: Endurance/aero frame advice for first bike and tall rider
Post by: Shayzzz on March 17, 2026, 07:55:59 AM
Hey all,

Planning my first road bike build. I've only ever ridden cheap MTBs, and I'm a runner looking to add cycling as cross-training to get more volume without destroying my legs.
Since I'm a total beginner on road bikes (and stiff as a board), I'm thinking endurance frame with some aero vibes (pure aero race seems too aggressive for me right now).

I'm 191cm, about 90cm inseam. So size 58 to 60 on most frames. Budget is €800 max delivered to Europe for the frameset.

So far the LightCarbon LCR018-D looks like a solid option, anyone have experience with it or know of good alternatives in that price range?

Thanks a lot for any help, really appreciate this community!

choices you could consider:
Yishun R068-D / Hongfu FM238 / Lightcarbon LCR018-D / Carbonda CFR-505 SL

if the 18D is within budget and has the geometry to fit you, get that one and start riding, i dont see how you can go wrong with it. id get it black w no logo and get some vinyl decals cut locally, but that's just me. Dont get it neon pink if you plan to sell it in a few years.
