Title: Dub 8-bolt carbon crankset
Post by: Menelaos287 on April 05, 2026, 06:08:04 AM
Is there a third party Dub crankset with 8-bolt interface?
There are only aluminium options? Everything else is Easton Cinch. Why is this?

Patented, I believe. Someone is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong.

Probably because you can buy SRAM Force carbon arms in a ton of sizes for under 150 euro.
They’re light, a great price and they’re strong - not really a great space for someone to releases a product as it hard to compete with that.

But it is ugly. Especially when using a matte black aero chainring.

Nice find on that carbon crank. For 8 bolt SRAM I just went ahead and purchased the Stone aluminum crankset.  It’s heavy (+500g), but it is really nicely made and the price was in line with the Rival crankset I was originally going to get and it looks a lot better.
