Hi,
A long-time Farsports wheels user here. Although the cost/performance is no longer that good, hope someone may still find this useful.
Overall spec:
- Height: 45mm both front and rear
- Width: 24mm internal 31.5mm external
- Spoke: Alpina Ultralite, 2:1 21 holes, front and rear
- Weight: 1290g official, 1292g real
- Hub: in-house one, double spring ratchet
Despite the 2:1 lacing which I'm not a huge fan especially for the rear wheel, the price is not as competitive.
I paid 6100 RMB, including shipping (I guess the importer cheated on the price, thus I'm not taxed for import tax/duty).
The official price on taobao is 6000RMB, and that's already the cheapest one among the in-house brand pre-built wheelsets.
The rear hub internal is almost a 1:1 copy of a DT swiss EXP hub.
And there is no spoke holes for the rim bed, so no need for extra rim tape, but will be pretty hard to repair broke spokes.
(Thankfully I have never broke a spoke other than one crash)
It has a set of tubeless valves included, but I'm going to use Fillmore valves.
Another concern is the rear hub body, the flange is pretty huge, but seems to have too much material machined off.
