Please add option for external cable routing. I beg you!
-
Will there be a rider weight limit for this frame?
-
If I had 1 regret about buying my SP-M06 it's that it has integrated headset cablee routing, next winter I'm either YOLO drilling cable passthroughs in the side of the frame or buying a new frame to get rid of them...
-
Cable ports as an additional option for cable routing (instead of headset routing) would be a good compromise if external routing isn't possible.
-
I won't name specific other brands. But... I've recently worked with another, fairly well-regarded OEM manufacturer, to add side cable ports on their full-suspension frame that don't have them by default. Whether they execute correctly on our final agreed-on spec (READ: not just *MY* spec), we'll see when I receive my frame.
The whole press fit BB and headset cable routing is a complete drag. I'm not sure if they even want to sell mountain bikes anymore.
For this reason (plus the obvious cost reason) I've skipped all the big western brands now.
Some Chinese frame manufacturers are willing to accommodate, and even accept custom paint jobs, so it's probably worth asking.

I'm very interested in buying this frame, you refer availability in mid-June, can you confirm this estimate and also inform about its price???
-
Seat tube in size S looks too long for me, and a seat tube has bottle cage mounts. I would buy this frame for my wife, if it could fit a long dropper post.
-
Just got word from Spcycle over email, where they informed that this frame is currently undergoing ISO 4210 testing. If it passes the test successfully, it will proceed to mass production. The estimated price is 550-580 USD, including shipping cost...
-
RiP, did you ask if there are cable ports on the left side of the frame and, if not, if they could be added?

No, I didn't ask any of those questions. Even if those requests are possible, I guess they'll impact production/delivery times... :-\

This frame is set to be available to order from July 20th... 8)

July 23rd and still not listed on their website.
-
Yes, I already inquired them about this over email a couple of days ago, but got no answer yet... :(
-
And 1 week passed, still no reply to my email... :(

Have you tried to message them via the official "SPcycle Store" on Aliexpress? They have answered my questions in the very recent past very quickly.

No, I haven't, but will do. Thanks for the tip...

Got a reply over at Aliexpress, in short time, as you suggested:
M038 has been completed for mass production. We will list it as soon as possible.

Here we go! Finally got word over email, they say they’ll list this frame on their website next week, as they’ve now finalized mass production… 8)
They also shared the weight for all the frame sizes:
The following is the weight of the unpainted frame
Size S 820g
Size M 845g
Size L 870g
-
Oh yeah! Now I'm waiting for a price ;)
-
… The estimated price is 550-580 USD, including shipping cost...
The frame price should be around these Numbers, shipping included.

To the US, I have never purchased, or seen listed, a SPcycle frame listed that doesn't charge $170+- in shipping charges. Frames with fork, typically have been priced between $500 and $600, and frames without forks priced between $400 and $500.
Just saying...

I asked for the price with tax free shipping to Europe and that was the figure they told me. Also, according to their website, all their frame (+fork where it applies) prices include tax free shipping to Europe and USA…

Lucky for buyers in Europe! These days... Like our gov'ment, our corporations, our shipping companies, our businesses, everyone is trying to suck every last penny they can from consumers.
PS, since the price you quoted was in USD, I figured you were a US based customer.

I bought an spCycle M868 frame 2 months ago and got free shipping from AliExpress.

And, order placed at AliExpress… 8)

Hi,
I also ordered via AliX, a nice light pink glossy L frame I will build up with as a gravel/commuter. 65mm deep and 40 wide rims with a dynamo. As a fork I will use a Winow 410 atc rigid carbon fork for 60mm max tires.
Not sure how much saddle setback I need. It will be a sta of around 79 degree for my saddle height. Horizontal distance from saddle to handlebar is 770mm. On my roadbike position I have 790 but I sit kinda long and low.
Hope I can share my build journey.

I have some doubts in ordering this frame as it has a very long reach. I want it for my kid next race bike in size S looks too big. Too bad there's no XS size for someone around 150 cm height.
-
There's no free shipping to USA this time.

Hi! Are there any plans for a similar version (66 degree head angle) which is not that super light and thus more durable? I am honestly a bit scared by the weight and would very much prefer a more trustworthy version with approx 1100g. :)

Yes, we will make a regular version. Weight about 1000g

I quite like the superlight version as is, except for the cable routing through the headset, which for me is a deal breaker.
Are there any chances you make a version with regular cable routing outside of the headset? Thanks!
