Hi all,
Just found out about this frame that was shown at the recent Chinese Bike Show.
Spect Strada.
Looks like a really great all rounder, weight is superb so would make a great climber and the branding is really on point.
There’s a lot of crossover for me as I already have the LCR018-D, but I can’t stop looking at this, especially at the price. $599 for the frameset. $260 for the integrated bar.
The only snag is there’s no zero offset seatpost available at launch, but it is in the works.
Interested in everyone’s opinion on the bike and overall geometry.
They also have a more radical aero frameset called the Mira, but for an aero frame I’m definitely holding out for the LCR020!

Looks like a fantastic frameset. They've nailed the branding for me - it's uncluttered and lets the paint job do the talking while having a brand name visible on the bike. And the name doesn't sound stupid. From what I'm seeing so far, this frameset is what I'm looking for. I'll probably buy this if there aren't any other better options by next year.
Edit: Admittedly, I'm a little bit wary about the company. Not because I suspect them of doing anything suspicious, but that I've never heard of this company ever before - so I've got no idea what to expect in regards with orders, warranty, quality etc. Plus, it checks ALL of my boxes, so it feels a little too good to be true. But hey... I recently started a part time job. Maybe I'll be the guinea pig LOL.
-
I also am interested in their bikes, but for me mira does it. Really decent branding too, bike looks stunning, the price (1100$ + shipping) is also very nice considering that it doesn't weigh a ton, while being an aero bike. I chatted with the guy behind their instagram account, he has been very helpful. But I also have the same concerns that you have about their legit-ness. But yeah, that offer is very temting
-
I like their pdf, although it screams of AI, and actually says very little. But i do applaud that they bothered making one, and Claude did a good job at it.
We dont know who they are, where they are, if they actually make anything, almost any of the frame specs, no CFD / wind tunnel info of any kind (i like the Mira a lot), you dont even know what comes in the box (spacers?).
Essentially, it looks like a mix a gross human incompetence and beautiful AI slop. And yet, I like it :)
-
... considering that it doesn't weigh a ton
Anyone knows what the weight of that frame is? Maybe I am just blind but I couldn’t find it under the Weight section :o
-
I am also very interested in this Aero Frame. Talked a bit with the guy from insta and also got a few pictures.
They also do custom paint.
Weight from their insta reply
Size 48 with paint 900 Gramm frame
420 fork
320 handlebar 380/100
Will check out the geometry chart and think of a design for a custom paint job.
They were on the Shanghai Bike Show, otherwise I can’t find a lot of information
-
Thats interesting - I was chatting on instagram and was told there is no custom paint option
-
Well, that is weird. I chatted this morning, so maybe the decision is quite new. But i always add to my question for custom paint, that i will pay also some dollars extra, maybe this helped...
-
Mira looks insane. Such a shame it has a slack 73° STA.
-
Please can you guys chatting with Spect ask them if 32mm tires really is the limit? Both frames?
-
I have also been in contact via Instagram, and I, too, was assured that custom paint jobs are possible. I am interested in the Strada.
-

Exactly my thought... supernice aerobike, and failing with that one.. i think with a more aero-focused frame it should have steeper STA.
74 or 74.5 even for 540 frame.

;D ;D ;D
Add to the fact my LCR018-D is performing great, but yet......here we are. I can't stop looking at the Strada.
It doesn't even "look" as aero as the LCR018 and its use case more or less overlaps it (it is a bit more aggressive at the front end)....but it looks so damn good - and the weight also catches the eye.
If they are going to offer custom painting on it too, im in big trouble. The only snag is no inline seatpost for a while, but they have said one is coming.

I mean... I heard somewhere that they are known for their wheels but I'm not so sure about that. Apparently they did CFD when designing it, or so I'm told. I also realized that the spec sheet says nothing about the spec, but the images look nice at least lol. And the mira model looks so sexy, its really tempting
-
Super thrilled the MIRA has a 73° STA. I won’t have to jam my saddle all the way backwards 8)
Would love to see a 140mm stem option though.
-

I was about mira told that 35 is fine, 38 for dry conditions in the back maaaybe fits, but front can fit 38's.

They said this about the Mira frame:
"We have full confidence in the Mira's build quality and paintwork.
But when it came to geometry, we lacked a clear direction, so we drew inspiration from the Cervelo S5."
🤣

At least they are honest LOL

I'm starting to think this brand was created by sales agents rather than engineers. Maybe I'm totally off?
The possibly AI written PDF brochure. The honest lack of design direction. Even the 73° STA on the MIRA doesn't make sense considering they only offer a max stem cockpit of 120mm.
They did a great job on the decals and pricing which, again, leads me to believe the brand is being operated by market driven folks. Because the MIRA looks like they slapped a bunch of on-trend design queues together without understanding why such designs exist.
A mix between the Cervelo S5 and Factor ONE

Getting a bit of that vibe myself Patrick I have to say.
Shows the power of some good branding!
Roll on the LCR020
-
Realized way to late the geo is exactly like the S5…
So far the zero offset post is in developing, thought it is available for the Mira but both bikes have right now just a 15mm offset Seatpost
Custom paint is possible but they will adjust it in the near future, whatever this means
But tbh, the contact via Insta is quite good and they respond fast. Personally I will wait how the Seatpost situation develops and I think also waiting for custom paint is worth it
Has anyone placed an order right now? Because I asked for prices and send them my desired design I created with Chat Gpt. But no response to the price question, so far just the information from the brochure

You can't do wrong copying S5 geometry. That's an excellent bike
-
They just replied from their Instagram account: their lead time is 45 days, plus 30 days for shipping.
I don’t really believe it. Someone commented that the Mira bike shown in one of the photos is still a prototype. So are they saying they’re going to finish the prototype and start production within 45 days from now? I don’t get it.
-
I am actually quite interested in this frame. All being said above.
Maybe I've gotten numb from my gratuitous amounts of bike reviews. Or the vast majority of bikes from the Shanghai Bike Show didn't really inspire blood flow inside my pants.
What I'm looking forward to:
-Light Carbon LCR020
-Spect Strada
-Tavelo Arden
-Tavelo Arow 2 (which I have photos of :-X)

Tbf, with everyone going towards bayonette fork + positive angled handlebar I also got a bit jaded. Very little stands out when everyone goes down the same route.
-
You can't do wrong copying S5 geometry. That's an excellent bike
The 73° STA of the S5 is measured at stack height.
With a normal seat height it's a lot steeper effectively (> 74°).
-
As a 1x only guy I'm not too excited about the 405mm chainstay length but then again what's 5mms?
Looks like even if you max out tires there will be quite the gap to the seat tube on the Mira frame due to the seat stay-seat tube join construction which simply seems too far back.
That's far from ideal in terms of looks and aero. Not a big fan of V-shaped bars. On flat terrain I almost exclusively ride UCI-illegaly with my forearms/ellbows rested on the bars.
Not really possible here.
-
Got some photos in White, looks good tbh
-
Website link for this brand?

I really would love to see the Spect Mira aero tested against the Strada. An S5 or Incolor SSR would also be a fun comparison too.
Not at all convinced that the Mira is going to be fast; not saying it cant be just I am skeptical because it doesnt seem to be a low frontal area design. I do know it’s going to be heavy in comparison.
The bike from the Shanghai show i am most intrigued by is the Elilee concept with the 24mm HT. Historically, I dont love their geometries, but that bike seems like it might be a bit of a sleeper. Assuming the 20mm Ti steerer works as advertised.

I saw somewhere that Elilee is only supposed to fit a max. 28mm tire. :'(

C’mon tell us a bit more about the AROW 2. Is it going to Abe a simple evolution or a radical more crazy new frame?
-
Asked Aerofor about the Strada frame and custom painting. First they said they offer "custom service", whatever that means, they even asked if I have a design idea. I’ve presented my idea and they’ve said they do not do custom painting at the moment, but they do plan it in the future. So not really sure if this is a translation problem or if they are just bi-polar ;D
Anyway, then they proceeded with sharing photos of their Mira frame I didn’t even ask for, so feel free to check the photoalbum: https://ibb.co/album/rkrDPZ (https://ibb.co/album/rkrDPZ). A bit of an overspray on the BB, not really sure if I would use this as a marketing material xD.
They’ve also confirmed both frames use FSA ACR headset, they’ve also hinted there is a gravel frame coming.
-
Asked for more photos of the Strada frame, here you go: https://ibb.co/album/vhd2YP (https://ibb.co/album/vhd2YP)

Ohh man, i want the Mira so badly. Hope that someone will do a yt review or something

You are the review man ahaha, they should send you one to test
-
I am waiting right now for the PayPal link, seems like their paying process is not completely done or ready. Otherwise I don’t know, normally they send you the paying link directly
45 days + shipping, so hopefully the frame is in Germany before August
-
I found a video of the Mira on bilibli: https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1u9RsBRETV/
Head tube does indeed not look very thin (which is the main point of this fork style I guess).
-
While 73° seat tube is my personal preference, I just still can't understand their decision to forego 74° even 73.5°. This becomes even more egregious when you consider they did this across all frame sizes.
Isn't this usually a key indicator of some cost cutting to keep the price down? Similar to a brand using the same fork measurement across all sizes too? A single mold for that particular section of the frameset.
Can anyone here chime in to confirm?
-

Cervelo S5 is also not very thin, I can see the clear inspiration there haha.

May I ask for the final quoted price? Mainly curious about the shipping. I asked them about shipping to Czech Republic, but haven’t had an answer yet. Thanks!

Like it their pdf, 1099 US Dollar for the Frameset and shipping is 200 for Europe with customs and fees included. But right now I don’t get a reply, two days ago they wanted me to send the PayPal link. Think they are pretty busy and shipping starts end of June, at least they told me that
-
Managed to finalize my order today after a few days delay with the PayPal link.
In the end I decided for size 51 with 120mm cockpit and the silver/white colour. Coming from a Scott foil in XS and 110 stem. 170cm if someone is interested.
Seatpost will be 15mm offset, don’t think they will have the zero offset Seatpost in time. Priorities are getting the first batch ready hopefully till end of June.
Will keep you guys posted, first chine frame for me but my girlfriend had since last spring a QuickPro Er One
-
Can't wait to see you build!!
-
Where can you see pricing ,bars, colours and sizes etc?

Just my 2 cents, don't want to ruin this for anyone. When I saw the frame for the first time I was amazed and I really wanted to buy it, but as with everything, after the first love fades away you start to notice some weird things.
Firstly, I extremely disliked the seatpost tube. On their Taobao page (btw I attached screenshots) they claim that they got design inspiration from Pinarello and Factor, and the seat tube is an exact Pinarello replica, and it's so horrible it ruins the whole design for me. Pinarello's design is based on these absolutely unnecessary, ugly curves, which this bike doesn't have.
The second thing, the Chinese always like to play it safe. The bayonet fork is not as wide as Factor's, and the tire clearance, especially on the back, is all wrong. They have huge gaps which ruin aerodynamics; the gap is about 2–3 times bigger than Factor's. Overall, I can describe this bike as a Frankenstein that gathered everything from all over the place without really benefiting from anything.
But again, even this was okay, but I disliked their attitude toward the customer. Right now they have closed all orders—I found this out from the dealer. But they never replied to any of my messages on Instagram or WeChat, just completely ignoring me, which shows how they treat the customer. Paying $1k to a company that was created a few days ago where you don't know how the build quality is (I already saw some cracking of paint somewhere, can't remember where exactly). I am only writing this not to hate on this company, but just to share my opinion and experience.

It will be interesting to see once the first frames are shipped how they ride and how the build quality is. Until then it is basically a complete gamble with very little or no protection to get you money back if the product is shit. The bike itself looks cool but the quality remains to be seen.
-
Looks killer indeed but yeah the whole new fresh brand… risky
I’d opt for the latest aero from PARDUS which is a well established company with years of experience, sponsorship Conti pro team etc. Legit AF. If only they were distributing worldwide better :’)
-
Yes I agree, it's a very new brand, I will definitely wait until the end of the year to see any reviews and understand the quality of the product before purchasing it.
-
I will continue to lean into my opinion that the geometry and design doesn't make a lot of sense for the modern rider.
Customers in this price range tend to lean towards custom builds where they spec each component individually. Being locked into a proprietary cockpit is not only problematic for bike fitting, but for resell value too. If you care about such things.
Marketing first. Function second.

This is such an underrated comment. I know people who have had their TT bikes in shops for 6-8 months awaiting the right cockpits--and road bikes like the S5 or V1RS sitting for 6 months. If you end up needing something that isnt the stock size, its a nightmare.

Well, my Communication was also a bit tricky sometimes. A few days no answers and then in 2 Hours permanent online and it was like a phone call.
The Seatpost is true, but my hope is, with a 30mm tire the gap is not that big. I like the optics but yeah, it is a Mix of a lot of different Designs. My hope is, that i can get a really nice fit with the rise Cockpit, i put a lot of Effort in choosing the right size + stem combination.
But yeah, in the end is a a new brand I will see, how the bike is. But I wanted to try something new and the other Option was the new Pardus Bike. Bit with 3000 Dollar it is to expensive

Goo, im looking for your review!
Btw after this i started appreciated how cheap brand bikes are in china, like you can buy scott addict for 1600$, or trek madone for 2600, both with mechanical 105

For those who are interested by the Mira, I’ve got these pictures
-
The Strada is now available on Cyclegear: https://cyclegears.net/products/spect-strada-road-frameset
-
You know the saying "if you want it for more than a week then you have to buy it" well I have come to the conclusion that I have to buy the Mira frame ahahaha
-
It looks very Frankenstein, I think the hype in this thread is that, a hype of a small group of people in a thread. Next years Chinese super bikes will blow this out of the park so bad, I wouldn’t want to be a first mover on this copy paste exercise of different frame parts from different brands but weirdly molded together. Sorry for the hurt feelings if it caused any…
-
I agree on the Mira, but the Strada looks like a lovely frame.
Nothing revolutionary, but classic looks, super light and room for a 32c which is more than enough for a climbing focussed all rounder - at a great price. Plus a very classy design & branding especially on the black gloss / matte finish.
So so tempted, but the LCR020 is still the frame it going to hold out for.

Yes...but gull-wing handlebar very cool and me like. I already built a new bike this year so I won't be buying this, but I hope it turns out great because I love the look of it. If not, maybe some other chinese brand are working on something similar.
-
I ordered the Strada frame from Cyclegears.net, I also message their website to ask whats the timeline. They said that they are still waiting for shipment around late-July. Essentially means no shipped frame till August :(. Only reason I went for the Strada is the weight and simplicity, Mira is beautiful, no lies, but the cable routing and finding the correct fit looks to be quite troublesome.
-
I got this answer from the from Instagram. They told me they would soon launch a website and keep the same pricing at first. Hopefully some frames are deliverd soon and there will be some reviews regarding quality etc. There is some more information regarding pricing and the website in the PDF.
-
That’s interesting, you know the two new Colours? I was told end of June/beginning of July my frame is ready to ship. Ordered via Insta

No thats all they told me. It Sounds a bit weird that they want to raise the price one week after the first batch has been shipped but maybe the interested in the frame is that high.
-
Another weird fact: The mira is now for sale on cyclegears.net ;D

Early bird pricing isn't that uncommon, so maybe that + more than expected interest lead to a future price increase

Yes or they are anticipating the first reviews to come out and then raise the price as people have seen that the quality is good (if it is) :D

I'd be careful with this website. Hong Kong legal information, it looks like an empty shell. I'd much rather liaise with a salesrep from the brand over email than through this thing that could disappear overnight, or change hands without notice.

I have read that some people had problems with framesets that they ordered from the site, groupsets seem to be alright, at least as far as I heard. Someone received the wrong frame or parts where missing from a whole build.
-
Too much of an S5 copy for me, looks and geometry wise.
Honestly I'd love it if someone went all out and made an UCI illegal road bike version of the Hope track bike. Everyone now trying to go the S5 and Y1rs route when their sales are msinly driven by the big names on those teams will imo not work out. There is probably more of a market for direct counterfeit frames than for the ones that are inspired by them.

I ordered an Incolor SR frameset there, arrived within 2-3 weeks to Germany. Email response was also very fast. So no issues for me.
-
I ran a Geometry Geeks comparison of the y1rs and the Mira in my size and they are very close-small seat tube angle and fork angle differences but almost a copy.
-
The Mira geometry is, on paper, a direct, almost 1:1 copy of the S5, the only real difference being a slight adjustment to BB drop. However the S5 (and the Y1RS) have divergent seat posts, which means the actual seat angle in practice is often steeper than what is on paper. The Mira seat post is collinear to the BB centre, so the stated seat post angle is the actual seat post angle.

I’ve been told the new colourways for the Strada should be announced in a couple of days.
The black looks great, so interesting to see what they come out with.
I’m constantly thinking about the Strada and think it would build into a super lightweight climbing bike.
As I like doing a lot of climbing and thinking about an Everesting later this year, this could be the perfect frame to build up with a carbon crank and a put the aero raptor wheels onto.
I’m just trying to weigh up this vs trying to lighten the LCR018-D with some lightweight parts.
It’ll never be as light as the Strada, but has a lot of comfort which might be equally as important as weight.
I also just love the look of the Strada which in the end is 90% of the decision making process given most modern frames are so damn good anyway.
-
I’m constantly thinking about the Strada ...
Same, man, same ::) ;D
I’ve been told the new colourways for the Strada should be announced in a couple of days.
The new colorways should come out at the time a new website is launched. Aerofor told me it should be this week.
-
And in the meantime they released a new frame, not on their social tho, could be ai?
-
And in the meantime they released a new frame, not on their social tho, could be ai?
They’ve told me about an incoming gravel frame, I guess this is it. Weird name choice tho.
-
More inspiration from Cervelo. They should have called it the Mira 5.
-
And in the meantime they released a new frame, not on their social tho, could be ai?
The spirit of Gravil lives on
-
The geometry of the Strada in a 54 is very similar to the SL8.
-
Thoughts on the Mira.
I'd be concerned with the stiffness of the headtube, because when looking at the naked frame, you're missing half the head tube of a regular frame. Would i trust them to compensate physics with layup? given most of their stuff looks like AI marketing (strong branding, unknown / unclear substance, afaik), no.
The trend is also towards thinner seat stays, and slimmer seat tubes, looking at new western releases. This frame in comparison has a very shaped rear end, and i suspect it's vibes before ride quality.
They're good at marketing. Are they good at making bikes though?
-
Are they good at making bikes though?
Earlier in this thread, I've seen people assume they are.
I wonder what makes one think this will be good quality. Is it because on the pics it looks good ?
Without any info, the safe (and rational) bet would be to assume the opposite until proven wrong.

Only after the first buyers have received their frames we can junge the quality. And aftersales etc. still cant be determined. I think its only getting this much traction as it is the first cheap frame with a bayonette fork (which i can totally understand ;D)
-
For this new brand, it is already disreputable, the geometry sheet is not same as the real frame, and the founder of this brand cursed many riders who ask about this issue. Also this founder has plenty of black histroy. I wanted to get one of strada as well, but later when I realize who they are, then I give up the thoughts.

Can you be specific? You're a user with zero history accusing the founder of "black history". That's both shady and vague.
-
I find the Strada very interesting and have already made contact regarding a purchase. However, I’ll probably wait for the first reviews, partly because I’m not sure about the quality 😬
By the way, the Strada frame looks uncannily like the Spcycle R088, and the geometry is same same 😉

Well aside from the T47 and the different fork..
-
Well aside from the T47 and the different fork..
Yeah, you're right 👍
I like the Strada and I'm torn 😬
-
Has anyone heard anything in terms of warranty for either Aerofor or Spect? Super intrigued by the Strada frame but it is a considerable risk being a new company without a lot of history.

I am newbie here is just because I am a Chinese rider, and I need some review of THINKRIDER PP5 from overseas, and I found this forum, so I had a quick review of your posts, I think its pretty good and I want to share some of Chinese riders' opinion, thats why I signed up here, if you think I am shady or whatever, its fine, we use Chinese forum like this, and you could google translate the website to check what Chinese riders tihnk about Spect.

One thing is the geometry and real frame has some difference, the founder of Spect does not admit and curses the guys who pointed out.
If a founder of a frame brand cursed your family females and the product is not the same as the introduction, I dont think y'all would buy it.
Just dont be regret when you receive the package oversea, you dont have Chinese fast and cheap logistics so very hard to get refund.

Thank you for the clarification. I'm not defending Spect, all i'm saying is if and when someone makes an accusation of that nature, it's important to provide information. There are plenty of accounts on this forum that get banned precisely because they're coming to defame, spam and so on.
The health of the forum depends on being able to ask questions.

Understood, I will make more specific statement next time, I really found that the Chinese cycling community and oversea's have some information gap, for example the PP5 power meter, Chinese riders are aware of the higher power after sprint problem after someone uploaded Shane's video.
But here many foreign riders do not have enough info about Chinese brands frames or parts.
-
... and you could google translate the website to check what Chinese riders tihnk about Spect.
Tried the Google Translate thing but with Chinese it’s always a bit of a guess what the person wanted to say. I don’t see anything explicitly wrong though?

If this is indeed true, then it’s not a very good ad for them, as they haven’t even started properly yet.

Here I ask Gemini to summarize for you some infos:
---
## The SPECT (空力公式) Custom Frame Controversy
This is a comprehensive breakdown of a major scandal that erupted in the Chinese cycling community (May/June 2026). It involves a custom bicycle frame project branded as **SPECT** (known locally as "Aerodynamic Formula" or *空力公式*), a dramatic public meltdown by its founder, and serious historical allegations of financial misconduct.
### 1. The Engineering Dispute & A Profanity-Laced Meltdown
The conflict began when rumors circulated within the community that SPECT's new custom bike project had altered its frame geometry. In the custom cycling world, geometry dictates fit, handling, and safety; altering it secretly implies flawed engineering.
The brand's founder was so infuriated by these rumors that he stormed into a local WeChat group chat to confront his critics, triggering a massive public meltdown:
* **Furious Confrontation:** He left a string of aggressive voice notes, which were transcribed and leaked. He explicitly stated he only entered the group to curse people out before leaving, so as not to "affect SPECT."
* **Direct Insults to Family:** His rants were filled with highly offensive, explicit Chinese obscenities specifically targeting the critics' families and mothers.
* **Dehumanizing Language:** He repeatedly referred to anyone spreading the rumors as "dogs" and "animals" (*畜生*), before concluding with, *"Alright, I'm done cursing. Fine, I'm just someone with no manners/character,"* and immediately quitting the group.
### 2. Technical Criticism: The "Aesthetic Over Function" Flaw
As screenshots of his meltdown spread, community members and rival designers began publicly mocking the technical viability of the SPECT frame design on platforms like Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book).
* **The "Horizontal Top Tube" Obsession:** Critics posted leaked CAD and 3D modeling blueprints of the SPECT frame, ridiculing the founder’s obsession with a **"horizontal top tube"**—a traditional aesthetic choice that is notoriously difficult to implement correctly on smaller frame sizes.
* **Flawed Proportions:** Netizens pointed out that the frame's geometry looked completely warped and compressed in the CAD drawings just to force the top tube flat.
* **The "AI Mockery":** One viral post mocked him directly, stating: *"You want a horizontal top tube every single day. Are you just too used to using AI photo-editing to stretch legs in photos? With that rider height, you don't deserve a horizontal top tube."*
### 3. The Ultimate Blow: A History of "Ghosting" and Fraud
As the drama escalated to mainstream cycling forums like Baidu Tieba, internet sleuths began digging into the founder's identity, completely shifting the narrative from design incompetence to outright reputational ruin.
* **Identity Exposed:** Forum users successfully doxxed the founder, revealing that SPECT was not his first venture. He was the exact same individual behind previous failed or obscure boutique custom steel frame projects, such as **"Massage Therapist"** (按摩师) and **"Leol"**.
* **Financial Misconduct Allegations:** The definitive blow came when multiple customers stepped forward in the comment sections with matching stories, exposing his track record: **"He is the guy who takes your money/deposit, doesn't deliver the goods for two years, and completely ghosts your messages."**
---
### Summary
What began as a niche debate over bicycle frame design quickly snowballed into a total collapse for the SPECT brand. By reacting with extreme vulgarity to technical criticism, the founder inadvertently triggered a deeper investigation by the community. The cycling public has effectively shifted the narrative from *"Is the SPECT bike geometry good?"* to *"Do not send money to this brand; the founder has a documented history of taking deposits and vanishing."*

Maybe you could screenshot and upload the screenshots to AI to summarize, AI could translate better, and that two links is different reputations of SPECT before and after the controversy. Some brand name we use nicknames or Chinese names, so not the same name you know, for example SPECT in Chinese name is “Aerodynamic Formula”.
I heard the news of taking money but not delivering frames for 2 years, but I didnt know it was the founder of SPECT, now I know, lol.
-
Oh boy, that is really something. Sad to hear this, because I think the brand name is one of the best coming out of China lately. Oh well, at least I will save my money then haha.

I had the same purchase plan as yours, but later when I found out the story behind, then save some money is a smart move.
Strada has a very nice geometry and nice price for 3999CNY, which is about 590USD, 700g weight.
Thats what I found here bewteen foreign riders and Chinese riders info gap.
Chiense riders dont have deep review like Shane, but we have very latest basic news.

HERE IS THE UPDATE LMAO

I use GEMINI to translate for you guys, or you could let any AI to do so.

## Announcement of Delivery Delay for SPECT Products
### SPECT Product Delivery Delay Announcement
**Dear Distributor Partners and Fellow Riders:**
Hello everyone!
First of all, because the brand is continuing to comprehensively refine and upgrade the internal production craftsmanship and structural performance of three models currently on sale, the product delivery times will be deferred accordingly. We would like to express our most sincere apologies to all distributor partners and customers who have already placed orders. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused by this delayed delivery, and we from the bottom of our hearts thank you all for your patience, waiting, understanding, and support.
In order to further improve the overall riding performance and workmanship quality of the bicycles, we have carried out deeper technological iteration and optimization on the three models. The entire process focuses on internal structures, carbon fiber layup techniques, and partial shape improvements and upgrades. The specific upgrade details and the latest delivery schedule are announced as follows:
### Strada
A comprehensive and refined upgrade has been carried out for the overall craftsmanship of the frame, seat post, and front fork, optimizing the overall shape. While ensuring the ultimate rigidity of the complete bicycle, we strictly adhere to the ultra-lightweight standard, further improving the overall manufacturing precision and structural stability of the bike.
* **First Batch of Orders:** Priority delivery of sizes 52 and 54 will take place between **July 15th and July 20th**. Other sizes will be shipped successively according to the order sequence.
* **Second Batch of Orders:** Will still be delivered successively in batches starting from **the end of July**, as originally planned.
### Mira
Based on professional measured rigidity data (head tube rigidity 144, bottom bracket rigidity 174.6), the rigidity was found to be too high. Targeted optimization has been carried out across two core processes:
1. **Optimizing the frame's carbon fiber layup process:** Scientifically tuning the carbon layup technique to mitigate the weight increase caused by excessive rigidity, thereby optimizing the overall physical feel of the ride.
2. **Improving the manufacturing process of the external steerer tube front fork:** Further strengthening the structural rigidity of the front fork and elevating the detail quality of the bike's workmanship.
* **Delivery Schedule:** Priority delivery of sizes 51 and 54 will take place between **July 10th and July 15th**. Other sizes will be shipped successively in order according to the order sequence.
### Mira-X All-Terrain Aero Gravel Bike
Internal craftsmanship optimization and mass production testing for the complete bicycle have all been completed. Priority delivery of size 54 will begin on **July 10th**, with remaining sizes shipped successively according to order sequence... *(text cuts off)*

Well, that are not good news and again some new information i dont got directly from them. I ordered the Mira end of mai and was told 45 days, so we will see, how it turns out...
What is more of a concern of mine, they changed now 3 times the geometry charts (mainly stack/reach) without telling me :(
1. Version from their pdf
2. Version from the product page on Cyclegears
3. Version from the product page on Ccache
Managed to switch my order to 48 instead of 51, because i benefited from the changes and the 48 is at least on paper now a better fit for me. But yeah, not good and dont know what to expect and what is the final geometry
But yeah, i still have some hope left and so far i profited from the geo change, if it is true
-
Wow,
From the Tieba post it sound likes they are months and months away from getting legit frames in people's hands. Guess I will pass on the Strada for now.

Hope you could get the right frame for you buddy, as a Chinese I ofc want to be proud of national brands, but for those black listed brands, I can not keep the words in my mouth, I think telling the info I know is more important. So if we make the info gap smaller and you could make better decision.

Officially they already made a statement for delaying the delivery of new frames, just today we got the news LMAO, so you could believe in SPECT or think about my info.

So, if I get it right, some chinese brand have a really bad reputation on the domestic market, including SPEC (and winspace, per the other thread).
I know it's slightly off topic, but could you list the chinese brands that have good reputation on the domestic market ?

Sure, the answer is quite simple,
Currently, TIRE 1:XDS (X LAB), PARUDS, QUICK(maybe?)
Like 3 years ago, XDS is not the same as now, because they became the sponsor of ASTANA, and they got rid of "XDS" 3 words instead of X LAB, XDS here represnts the child bikes and cheap bike(AD350), after X LAB, everthing change, absolutely TOP 1 brand in China.
PARUDS is one of the biggest manufacturers in CHINA, no doubt.
QUICK is very special, they were one of the manufacturers for WINSPACE and many many famous brands. But they do not have professional PR team or marketing team.
They are running brand with factory mindset. But still better than those INCOLOR, SEKA, X SOON, etc.
All the other brands, our opinion is if they do not sell frames for more than 2200USD or 3000USD, we will give them a shot to try, but for 2200USD or 3000USD, bruh, let them go to hell, or let the rich people take care of these brands.
X SOON is from my city Hangzhou, no real customers buying this brand, only the famous celebrity cyclists ride it because they got the frames for free.
Now XSOON is closed, they may change the name and drop a new brand next year lol.
In general, I can not really recommend, the only concern is the price, XLAB, PARUDS, bikes with correct price, but other brands, price too high, even QUICK PRO, ARONE, ERONE, now in China the frame price is like 1200USD, still too high. If you like QUICK PRO, its fine.
-

Yeah 100%, thats why i try to share my experience also. It is quite funny that the bike is to stiff, normally it is not enough stiff but anyway. I was already told beginning of july, so we will see, what happens in a few weeks and if there is any progress or something else
-

Thanks for your answer. Just one last thing and I'll stop the Off topic.
I do agree with you concerning this part and I guess this is why we are on this forum in the first place. You mentioned the high prices brands but what about the reputation of the other side of the spectrum, the companies that actually provides frames that are "affordable", like Velobuild, lightcarbon, hongfu, mondince, spcycle, carbonda, bxt, tideace and so on ?

Can you say anything about CAMP bikes?

Thanks for your answer. Just one last thing and I'll stop the Off topic.

Hi, thanks for trusting, I don’t really know too much about those cheap price brands too much, lightcarbon became famous for they had a post for some PRO team using their frames but with no UCI sticker, later on the news update as the team only using LIGHTCARBON frames in practice, and the team riders dont think it’s as good as big name brands, so kind of a clown action.
Carbonda is very funny, because I used to look for gravel frames 3 years ago, carbonda is the branch brand of QUICK PRO, only for overseas, so when my friends bought carbonda 696, he paid in CNY but with USD currency, lmao.
-
Can you say anything about CAMP bikes?
CAMP is very popular here, one of my close friends has a ACE7? He loves it, with 7170 groupset, it’s like a smaller XDS, also they sponsored
many teams here, I never rode it before but those around me give it a good rate. Same, if you think the price is right, no problem at all, because CAMP is a standard brand, they have pretty much offline shops. Quality is not a concern to me.
Btw most popular electronic group set is 7170, because there are many many unofficial parts from the factory, for whole set of 7170 without disc brake is 4000rmb about 600$

Hi buddy, yes sure, sometimes those bike companies we don’t really know, because some of them are more focusing on European, American markets, so I only recognize some names. And we need to check review from foreign riders. Looking forward yours too!

Thanks for sharing your local knowledge. Have you heard of Seraph or Tantan? Any good?

Hi, tbh i just knew this seraph or Tantan brand from here, and i asked around, checked on Chinese internet, not really enough information about this brand, many riders don’t recognize it, even on xiaohongshu or bilibili, there are just few few posts and videos about this brand. Most in 2022, 2024. I see the price is similar as TFSA, but you could find TFSA here everywhere in high schools or colleges. So i can not really say anything about Tantan/Seraph, sorry buddy.

I’m so glad I didn’t pre-order, because I absolutely don’t like what is now supposed to be the final version; I find it downright brazen to try and give customers who have already placed and paid for their orders a modified product instead 😠

Yeah, buddy, I guess you were right—"unfortunately" 👌
But hey, I was just looking at some stuff from TFSA, and you mentioned that the frames are really popular over there 🤔
Is the quality actually good, or are they just popular because of the price?

Haha, "unfortunately" I was right about that.
TFSA is quite popular here for their good and fair price, before 2026. Cause 2026 you know there are many new good price frames.
Another reason is JH frames are really good, rim or disc, the biggest star is JH33, because it almost has the similar geometry as specialized.
So many many students would buy JH33 to paint their own skin, or just make it as a "S-WORKS". Even though many of us dont really appreciate this behavior.
Half of JH33 owners put other funny logo on it as "Cancanneed" in Chinese means “Have a look of yours”, in Pinyin - "Kan kan ni de"
or "Cancanword" means "Have a look of mine". In Pinyin - "Kan kan wo de"
If you dont look carefully, you would probably think its "Cannondale"

This is the most controversial part of TFSA, not really has many black history of quality as I heard.

Yeah, exactly—I’ve got my eye on the JH33 too, but I’m surprised it comes with a round seatpost now; I thought it was originally oval, not round 🤔
I’ll ask TFSA for a quote and see what they say 😄
Thanks for all your great help 🫶

100% my thought.
Got a answer 2 days ago, they said the changes on the mold needed more time as expected but now production has startet and shipping also soon. Whatever soon means...
But quite interesting, i didnot get the new pictures of the frame, but also not explicit asked for it.
Also they said the stiffness is great, higher as the ISO Standard. Last update i had, it was to high and now i am confused
So yeah, it is still a rollercoaster because from every source (Chinertown, Facebook, their Insta) you get a bit of information and need to combine it, to see the whole picture.

hey guys stop posting negative news on spect i have ordered all 3 of their frames, reading all these is killing me
-
I think you'd better stop following the forum.
BTW, I'm still super curious to try a frame; I'll get one as soon as they start shipping.

Saw this on Facebook. It is from a Dealer from Singapur i think.
" Is this still gonna be a keeper? Many people are disappointed with the change, what about you? To me the price is still very attractive! I don’t mind keeping it as a spare!
I heard the delivery timeline in china 🇨🇳 is slated to be in mid august! I hope aerofor is able to deliver everything on time 💪🏻 everyone is still rooting for you!!! Looking forward!!!

Yeah, so the latest update is a raw carbon frame which is hopefully not the final versions. In the pictures you can see red arrows, which highlights defects or some other issues on the frame. Overall i think the frame still looks good, but this is the only positive thing. Delivery time is a big question mark and still no real feedback on the frame. But yeah, at least there a now some weekly updates.
-
It can be a good thing to see that frames are tested, modified, optimised?
Isn't it better than releasing new frames each months where the first customers are beta testers?
-
Hi guys! Any new updates on this?

Hi guys! Any new updates on this?
So far nothing exciting, some facebook posts with the raw frames (Mira & Strada). Mira faw frame in 54 is 950grams acording to their scale. Shipping should start in August, but dont know if the first badge is just for china. Some dealer from singapur said, there will be an announcement on 20. july, we will see.
For following the company and the frame development, i recommend facebook but genereall informations are quite raw.

I spoke briefly with a representative from Aerofor—the company behind the Spect brand—and obtained the geometry chart below. They insist that these are the final specifications for the units that will be shipped. They also acknowledged that changes had been made to the geometry; it differs from the "Strada" geometry found on sites like Taobao.
While I think it might be best to hold off until actual units are shipped, it seems—assuming the geometry data is accurate—to be a Chinese carbon frame that actually takes shorter riders into consideration.
What do you all think?
-
Just a quick update, I remembered some friend here said his Spect frames already been shipped? But I just read a post from XHS, the Spect buyers wechat group said the first batch frames delayed again.

Yea, was also written at Facebook.

OK so basically the update on XHS is, someone went to the Spect company registered address, found its an empty office.
I will not say anything more, just FYI
Just use Chrome translate or AI to translate the page.

Yikes! Good thing that I waited for more info on this frame before I dropped money.
-
I was, and i still am, this close to getting one. A mentor of me once said "if it's too good to be true, it probably is"
-
According to the supplier, the first Mira frames are currently being dispatched.
-
I was just told by Aerofor (on instagram) that the frames in size 51 and 54 will be shipped out by the 15th of sept

I've ordered the Strada from CYCLEGEARS.NET on Jun 1, 2026. I got impatient and cancelled the order on Aug 12 because of the issues mentioned in this thread. Since then I have not received the refund, I raised a dispute claim with Klarna for the cancellation and told to wait 21 days (Im assuming business days) before they step in.
Throughout, the process I have contacted CYCLEGEARS multiple times to confirm and process my refund, I have not received any useful info to date. Only saying that "we will bring this up to the customer support".
So far I would avoid doing any business with CYCLEGEARS or SPECT for that matter.
-
I see that I am able to order from one of the shops in taobao .
Let me ask for the availability to see if there is available ready stocks.
-
So, the (only China?) shipment definitely has started. There are now popping up some frames on rednote, mainly bike shops but it gets more every day.
Quality seems okay and not that bad paintjob like on some pictures from weeks ago for example. So far I found one shop which weighed the parts. As expected, it is definitely not the lightest but for the design with the external fork it is okay in my opinion.
Personally I don’t get answers via Insta since 2 weeks, so that is a shame… also it looks like, the shipping just started in China. But yeah, at least there are now some real frames. For getting updates, I would recommend Rednote.

The latest news I’ve seen recently is that this company is getting sued for misleading consumers.
First, they claim their products are TÜV certified, but there's zero record of it on the TÜV site, and they refuse to produce an actual test report.
Second, they're refusing to provide GB standards documentation—which is required by law for any product sold in mainland China. Selling without GB compliance is straight-up illegal over there.
Regardless of how the legal stuff shakes out, my advice is to stay far away from such a sketchy company.
