Title: TAgoola AR XRLP or ELITE WHEEL GRAVEL AERO - ?
Post by: john71ism on July 17, 2026, 08:11:15 AM
Both similar in weight and price and 32 internal ... any major difference in the brand and product quality / dependability ?
Thank for the input

Personnaly I would go for Tagoola. Matter is top for communication and after sale. I have never been disappointed with their wheelset.

I've got a set of Tagoola wheels and the quality is fine, and a friend has a set of Elite ones that seem very similar. There's a few of us on here running CSC gravel wheels that are a similar profile but slightly heavier and quite a bit cheaper. Mine have stood up well to proper off road use under a heavy rider.

Of the 11 pairs of carbon wheels I currently own, the elite gravel aero + are by far the lease expensive, but probably the only ones I’d buy again.
Other than the decals they’re extremely hard to criticise.

I intend to rebuild them with brass nipples, but so far I’ve been beating the shit out of them for a year and they’ve needed no maintenance.

Wait for an Aliexpress voucher and get them for an extra sweet deal.

I have the Elitewheels gravel aero. I bought them at the start of my Chiner bike part adventure. Having absolutely bombed them down rooty stuff, basically destroying them, and not servicing at all, they still run very well. I doubt the CSC wheels will be as good, their customer service is also virtually non existent.. But both the Elitewheels & Tagoola wheels will be great.

Edit: You could also look at these, fair bit cheaper: I just found this on AliExpress:  | Kore 50mm Rim Gravel‑Bike wheels Disc Brake WheelSet Depth, Ultra Light 1325g with Pillar Spokes 45-55C bike‑tire 32 Int‑Width

They're 36T but I put a 60T DT Swiss style one in my set that cost me £16

Loving my elite's so far, even with the loud hub. I imagine its a draw between the two so like others have said, see which you can get cheaper and go that route.
