Title: Good Chiner/Aliexpress Updates for a Hybrid Commuter

Not sure if this is in the right board - feel free to remove if it isn't.

I'm looking for some recommendations for parts to upgrade my old aluminium hybrid commuter bike. From things like Aliexpress bell/pedals/fenders, to groupset replacement (or at least chains, cassette).

Wondering if anyone has done the same and found some reliable products.

Find out what you want to upgrade, then search Aliexpress, then search the forum. You can’t expect us to recommend something from nothing.

Hard to say which things are worth upgrading without more info. I would start with the contact points, pedals, grips, saddle.

But just one thing to keep in mind, if at some point you get the urge to upgrade the frame, try to mostly do upgrades that you can then transfer to the new frame. Feels dumb to pour money into frame specific upgrades that are then almost worthless as you decide to upgrade the frame been there.

What bike do you currently have? A pic or more info would be helpful to get recommendations. Are you handy at working on the bike or will you have shop do it for you. Factor in that cost as well.
