I'm looking for a solid, mid-weight crankset. Probably not carbon, it's for what I'll call a commuter-deluxe/all-road bike. Does anyone have one they like/recommend? I could just get GRX (bike will be 1x) but if there's a slightly lighter option that would be nice. I'm a weight weenie, building a bike for a friend who is not a weight weenie, and fighting with myself over how much to spend on parts and how much to value weight. This bike will mostly be used for commuting but also occasional recreational riding.

I have 2 Senicx 2x cranksets for HT2, and a Meroca 1x for a square taper on my commuter. Neither are weight-weenie, just solid for the budget.

I use Zrace unchained pro (very light) and Zrace rx2 with my 1x Sram setups. Done 4k and 1k on them respectivly. flawless so far.

New SRAM Rival if no carbon or second hand Force if budget is a consideration.

I also run the Zrace Unchained and am very happy with it so far after ~1k km!

Stone makes a very nice alloy crank. Seriously, the finest piece of machining I have come across regarding Chinese bike parts.
