I'm looking for a new gravel bike, but not finding much because it's a weird list of wants. Basically, I want a road bike that fits 45s. The closest I've come to the geometry I want is a Serk A40 Ti bike. But I'd like carbon and more aero features.
- 2x compatible - must have
- round seatpost preferable
- 420mm chainstay
- 71.5-72 head tube angle
- wheelbase under 1040mm in a size 56/58 (willing to size down for the shorter wheelbase)
- 45mm tire clearance, max 50mm. I don't want huge tire clearance because it takes away the other requirements
- frame storage is a plus
- UDH is a plus
I've looked at endurance bikes but they're either way too relaxed in stack/reach or they don't quite fit a 45. Meanwhile all the new gravel bikes fit 55+ and end up way too long. Or they're 1x only.
Contenders
LightCarbon LCR72. The reach is a bit short that I'd need a pretty long 120 or 130mm stem. But otherwise looks good on paper. Don't like the "wind eye" gimmick.
Evolve Cima. Again, short reach. But could work.
Factor Aluto. Way more expensive but ticks almost every box. But it's like 4-5x the cost of the open molds.
Are there any other frames that could work?
