Title: Airwolf YFR069
Post by: e0157 on November 04, 2026, 11:34:10 PM
The Airwolf YFR069 and Spcycle R099 seem to be the same product.

It is slightly cheaper and has no shipping fee, but is the Airwolf frame reliable?

Get Lightcycling or Tantan. Much better QC from them

Where is this "better QC" coming from? TanTan has historically had some problems, if I remember correctly, and Spcycle, on the other hand, has a whole thread on their R088 (and many others which I don't follow as closely), and I don't think there have been reports of systematic problems with that frame.

What I believe is true is that LightCycling takes care for higher quality paintjobs and accessories that come with the frame. I own a Spcycle R088 and the matte paintjob I decided for is ok, but ngl it is nothing exceptional. I sourced bearings, hangers and (titanium) screws for my build by myself anyway, so I can't comment on those. If LightCycling takes care of that properly, they are going to save you some time. But if you care about your budget, you can invest time instead and shop around for high-quality accessories -- purely money-wise the LightCycling premium probably comes higher overall than the cost of a few screws and bearings.

Airwolf I can't comment on, since I don't really follow the threads about them here.

Of course, I don't know everything, and some of the information is muddy (e.g., who produces these frames; are they actually the structurally the same, etc.). I am just sharing what I've seen in other threads, and asking for more substantiation/an argument, so we all know what different claims about quality mean.

Feel free to ask Daniel from LightCycling, he's a member here.
