Re: Hubs for gravel wheels compatible with 142mm through axle and 135mm quickrelease Novatec 791/792 and 411/412 can do what you want I think. Just check the novatec webshop for the conversion parts.

Re: Hubs for gravel wheels compatible with 142mm through axle and 135mm quickrelease The 411/412 are decent hubs. I use them on my gravel and on my roadbike. Have done 1000's of kms with them. They need some maintenance and replacement of the bearings from time to time (I use cheap Ali bearings) but I've not have anything fail on me.
Replacement parts and freehubs are cheap and easy to find.

Re: DT 240EXP hub clones Goldix, Venfort
Purchased the ZTTO DR190 54t ratchet hubs.  The spoke holes are double drilled shaped like a key hole.  Anyone know the purpose of that?  ZTTO says it's for better durability but I'm scratching my chin.
It's for flat spokes like the sapim cx ray

Re: Deerobust/Goldix wheel build 50/55mm 1319g
Nice wheels and all, but can I ask about the truing stand? Is that an AliExpress model or rather a Western product?

Good luck with your degree!
It's Ali, I have the same. Works great after a little bit of adjusting. You can't rely on it for your wheel to be perfectly centred though.

Re: Stuttering front disc brake SRAM Rival Centerline X on LCR017-D
Thanks, I will definitely double-check.
My rides felt normal otherwise but the brake power has quite some leverage through the fork, right?
Did you "feel" anything while riding?
I did not feel anything while riding, but the fork began to "stutter" when braking. I also thought it was the brakes, but it appeared to be the play in the headset. It was a very small amount of play.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
I'm using the same Zeray ZP-108S pedals and am pretty happy with them. However, one of the pedals came with too much preload, and therefore doesn't spin as freely as the other.

I've opened its plastic cap (see attachment) but can't figure out how to disassemble it further: the screw head inside doesn't seem to take a hex wrench -- the inside of its head looks round (see other attachment). Could you help?

Isn't that just a hex nut? A lot of pedals have them in exact that position. Normally you can get them off with the right size of socket. Will probably be 8 or 9 mm

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
Crap I was going along building up the bike bit by bit. Routed all the cables and then wanted to mount the bottom bracket… and the drive side is not good, the bottom bracket simply doesn’t catch the thread and go in. I emailed Wendy for a solution but I fear it needs to be replaced or atleast rethreaded

Could it be put in backwards? Have you tried turning it the other way?

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame
Do you think the brake performance is being hindered by the internal cable routing?
I'm thinking about building up a road bike and using an old 6800 Ultegra group I have but I'm a bit nervous about how mechanical will perform with internal routing...the turn at the handlebar into the stem then into the fork must be brutal on the brake cables.

My advise: just get a second had R8000 disc groupset and forget about mechanical disc brakes. They are not worth the hassle...
