Re: Chinese cycling clothes The rion bibs look like they are the same as my YKYWbike bibs and I'm not the biggest fan of the pad. It's very stiff and doesn't conform to the saddle very well

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Used them today on a 125km gravel ride. All is well...  ;)
How often do you brake in belgium?  ;D

Re: Carbonda Gravel Carbon frame CFR707
In case anyone is wondering about current prices...

CFR707 w/ Bar - $650
headset - $15
axles - $26
spacers $5
hangar - $8
shipping to US $190
paint $95

+ transaction fees on payment are approx 5%

All-in will be over $1k. Not bad but definitely more than I was expecting for an off-brand china frameset.
For reference, my 696 was $480 and extra hangers were $5 and I'm pretty sure they use the same hanger. Headset was $12, I think it's also the same. Axles were $26 but I decided not to get them after reading they were flexy
Paint obviously varies, mine was almost $200 and shipping was 195 to europe
I don't know if it's inflation or a 707 upcharge but $650 with bars isn't shocking to me. I'd happily order a 707 maybe minus the bars if they are overpriced

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
What about the Sigeyi Axo and their rebranded Fovno Aurora Pro?

https://www.sigeyishop.com/product-category/power-meter-crankset/
that's still $460 before shipping and over 700g (estimate, no weight on the rings) and not compatible with R7150 front mech (why?)
I'm all for trying out exotic gear but when trusty 105 (which you can trust, only ultegra and DA had issues) with a western brand powermeter comes out cheaper and lighter, it sounds like a pretty bad deal with those prices

Re: new iGS800 Bike GPS Computer Certainly interesting, I've been on the 630 for a month and very happy with it, I consider it a straight upgrade in every way to the garmin 530 (except maybe the third party integrations but the app really isn't that bad). I trust them to beat the 1040 but magene is about to drop their own touchscreen computer for $160 so I would have hoped it was a little cheaper than $350.
I can't remember the last time I was excited for a western release, but between TPU tubes, DTSwiss clone hubs, hydraulic and then electronic groupsets and higher end bike computers, I feel spoiled.

I wonder if it would sync up with Wheeltop EDS OX and TX electric derailleurs.

They sync with LTWOO eRX already, no doubt they would sync with wheeltop

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
Issue for me would be that batteries eventually die which would render the whole derailleur useless. I'm surprised nobody has used something like a 18650 cylinder battery. Slap a waterproof case in the down tube and put a charge port on the derailleur. Battery (or batteries) die, you go grab another one on Amazon or whatever. This is a deal breaker for me
This is exactly what LTWOO does?

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! Found a guy on chinese forums who made his own powermeter at home

Also learned today they REALLY don't like the brand rockbros there and have some pretty creative insults and threats towards them

Re: Best and worst overall quality/value components/tools/gear from AliExpress? I can't find it anymore but I swear I have seen a 12 speed 11-36 before on ali. I think it was from ZTTO but I'm not sure. Maybe already sold out?

Re: In-frame triangle storage box ala Speedmax I researched this extensively 2-3 years ago and couldn't really find anything.

The speedmax has screws, as do some tri bikes like the P3 so your best bet is just a small tool roll with straps to secure it like the dakine hot laps gripper, or using any bottle cage extender but it never looks pretty. Something neat like the specialized SWAT has to be made custom for a frame that has mounts for it. It's a shame gravel frames don't come with more mounts and their proprietary bags to seamlessly attach to, I'd pay extra for that

Re: Dengfu Gravel R14? Sorry to beat the dead horse, I don't have a problem with rear suspension on a gravel frame, why not... but 48mm tire clearance? Why would you do that? Making a gravel frame that leans closer to technical terrain is great but come on, I would expect AT LEAST 55mm
