Snacks, build looks great - where did you get he chain stay protector?

thanks! its from Santa Cruz for the tallboy 4 and joplin 3. i have another post in this thread with pics of how it fits. its on there very snug and covers the chainstay but im still betting a HT specific one might fit just that much better

Kydex custom downtube protector.  It still needs a little adjustment.  For reference this is from a 4"x12" piece of thermoform plastic.

that looks great. definitely next on my list!

Re: Velobuild Gf01
How do you like it?

It's top of my list now, but I'm a bit concerned about the short headtube. Might be too low at the front end.
Possibly thinking of going from a small to a medium with a shorter stem.

I thought the front end might be low too so I kept a few spacers under the stem. At 5'10" with a 30.5in inseam I'm riding a size S with a 90mm stem and it fits me perfectly.  Although I do like my bikes on the smaller side.

I actually wanted the gf02 but they couldn't get it out to me in time for training.  The slacker hta and non aero seatpost so i could fit a dropper were the only reasons I wanted that over what I have . Otherwise the gf01 has been a great bike and a joy to ride

Re: Light Carbon LCES004 E Bike Build
Does anyone know where to get the BFT batteries?  Unless you want to buy a 1000 of them.. I can't find them.

I've listed two retailers in this thread that you can purchase them from.

Re: AM831 competitors? Help knudge me over! Yea I remember reading something similar. $10k usd for the mould for each size . So maybe the $60-100k was for all sizes

Edit - yup here's one article that states this. https://www.cyclingweekly.com/news/product-news/inside-frame-design-489852

I don't like cycling weekly so I'm sure I've read that figure somewhere else. I could have swore it was an article quoting the prices the giant factory offered for its moulds

Re: Monsuta x Snacks AM831 build Update-
Bike has been put aside and is not ridden anymore since the rear flexes so much it's still rubbing the frame. I've been talking to Eddy about this and he said unfortunately shorter bolts did not fix the problem for them. They have fixed the mould for the rear triangle  but was told on Nov 7 that those new triangles won't be available for another month. Even then I'm not sure if we will be getting them to fix the issue or if it's something they will make us buy. I'm really hoping it's not the latter

So anyone wanting to purchase this frame should probably wait until.they produce and send out the frame with the new rear triangle
