Re: TanTan FM10 BB Delamination - Warranty Claim
I used the bottom bracket that came with the frame.

You seem to have missed the rest of that comment.  You know, this part "Not saying that is your fault, could easily be from a BB shell that is out of tolerance."

Re: LCFS958 Build (eventually)
I used SprayMaxx 2k clear. I shot one coat then wet sanded 800 grit. Then did a heavy coat and let it cure for 24 hours. I could have gone heavier in some spots but from 5ft away the bike looks great and that’s all I was really going for.

Looks good from afar, but far from good?   ;)

Re: LCFS958 Build (eventually)

Frame around the bearings is still solid with no damage other than scratched paint.

That is good to hear particularly given the condition of the carbon around those bearings in the first pic of the first post.
Sounds like LC are doing all the right things around warranty obligations and looking after their customer so big thumbs up for LC on that front.

Re: XC full suspension frame
You are right, I had not studied the geometry enough. Maybe this is more like the new Spark, that's okey also. Think the cabel routing is a bit strange, what do you think about this?
I already have cassette changed to 9T, but still need the opportunity to use 36T chainring for marathon...

Is there another distributor that sell the frames Lexon uses?

That is a far better routing design than the under BB that is more common.  I would take that hands down over the alternate. That design pushes the cable towards the frame when the suspension is compressed which means it doesn't pull the grommets out like the under BB design does. This also means it doesn't end up robbing slack from the derailleur end or the bar end. Zero chance of rock strikes which although rare  can happen with the under BB.

I don't understand why more manufacturers don't run it like this.

Re: TanTan FM10 BB Delamination - Warranty Claim
Now I've found that since the BB hole is not round the bearing race gets distorted and causes the bearings to drag and fail prematurely. I've decided to attempt a repair with carbon fiber and epoxy and an adjustable hand reamer. The blades on the reamer are 105mm long so I should be able to ream both sides at once and keep things lined up. The BB92 shell has to be 40.98mm to accommodate the 41mm BB.

How did you go with the repair?

did Tantan ever get back to you?

Re: Update on Lexon genius It's visible on my pc screen and even though the preview shows it upside down, it is the right side up when enlarged.

Re: Epic Evo Clone
Pivot hardware looks fine as well as the axle. I will not be getting into the bearings unless there are issues.

It is generally good practice with chinese frames to strip them down, grease everything and then torque it all properly.

Re: Best Chinese full suspension carbon frame
I'm not finding reviews about the LightCarbon LCFS918. Do you have it or have another frame from this brand?

Both of those bikes are built by Steffan.
If you search this forum you will find threads on both of these frames.
