Re: Storck rebranding Elite Drive wheels? It's exactly the same.
I'm using the same wheelset with silver chrome hub.

Re: Carbon Repair - Is my frame fixable? I talked to Canyon and they wouldn't do anything with the warranty. According to them, the chainstay protector is designed to shear off and absorb some of the energy, which it did. (There are a couple of dents in the metal piece.) They wanted $1600 for a crash replacement frame, which is quite high. (I paid about $2100 for the whole Shimano 105 bike.) I would have gone with a Carbonda or Velobuild frame instead if it wasn't fixable.

I sanded the area a bit to get a better look at the carbon, and I spent some more time tapping it. There did appear to be a crack running vertically from one of the gouges, and it sounded different right there.

I decided to have it fixed professionally, and I'm glad I did. I went through Moment Bicycles in San Diego, and it ended up being only $180 to fix it and match the paint, and it took less than a week. (The cost was only half of the initial quote!) The paint match is nearly perfect and you can't see any difference when the cranks are back on.

I though about fixing it myself with one of those kits, but for the money I'm glad I didn't. I could not have gotten it nearly as smooth or matched the color, and it probably would have taken me longer with all that I have going on now.

Re: Speeder SC-R52D Manage to contact Alynn from Adapt bike. She informs that this model is not available to buy directly from them. Apparently, it's the same as Nich Legend 4.
Hi the adapt at bt01 Looks different on the fork and seat clamp. Anybody knows the Frame ?

Re: 2023 VeloBuild CX-002 Cyclocross Frame My build is complete. Went outside in the -13 celsius freezer to quickly snap these.
Weight without pedals or bottle cages: 8.3kg

SRAM eTap + FSA no.69 headset system = easier bike build I've done thus far.
Waiting on some CX tires and I have to swap out the left crank arm for a Quarq/SRAM power meter.

Some tidbits about the frameset...
The frame was designed by Velobuild rather than being a "homage" to one of the major brands. EPS latex like the VB-177.

EDIT: Also I should mention: I’m running a 48/35 chainring up front. However, the front derailleur just BARELY clears the chainring and is mounted at the upper limit of the braze-on hanger. Basically the braze mount is, mounted, really to accommodate a smaller chainring. 46t max probably.

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056
...the rub is bad enough that the wheel barely turns.

If you put the other type of lock ring, that you can tighten with the same tool as for a cassette, you should be fine.

Re: Speeder SC-R52D 7,15kg nice! I tried to measure with cheap luggage analog scale, but was between 7.5kg /7.9kg... so not that accurate scale ::)
Will try to borrow a good digital scale soon.  But probably closer to 7.9 I guess.. (incl cages and pedals ofcourse  :))

I took some quick pictures in the sun! Tried to get the effect of the carbon... The carbon + sun really nice effect! 8)

Re: Speeder SC-R52D
Good catch.Parapera Atmos2. Seems the same I would say but did you check the geometry table?
The geometry is a bit different. I think it is an slightly modified version to fit 34mm tires.
In my Speeder 52D 30mm yes, but 34mm I dont think so… Interesting in any case…

i do believe the atmos uses a slightly different design since it can fit 34mm tires and the geometry differs in a few spots i noticed, but only for 1 to 3mm

Re: Speeder SC-R52D Just finished my build using leftover parts from my 2021 Trek Checkpoint (I had a full GRX mechanical groupset and 50MM DT240 Farsports wheelset on-hand). Frameset took 3 months from payment date to get shipped and shipping itself took approximately 2 weeks to get delivered here in California. First build from the frame up, so hopefully I didn't make any egregious mistakes.

Build with a size 51 frame weighs 17.5lbs/7.9kg with Favero pedals, computer mount and bottle cages. Overall, I was impressed with the frame quality and the finishing was excellent (the BB/headset were pretty comparable to my Checkpoint's). I have 32MM GP5000s on mine which would be the max tire width I'd be comfortable running.

Re: Speeder SC-R52D Hi guys,

Here is my R52D. After 3 months, the frame arrived well packaged, no missing parts. The finish, build quality and tolerances are great, BB and disc brake mounts are faced, head tube well finished, the paint job is excellent with no excess in the BB, disc mounts and head tube areas. No any particular problem during the build. The frame, seat post and handlebars have marble glossy finish, and look nicer than the pictures. The size is 510, handlebar 370|85. The frame feels stiff, the seat post has good flex and is comfortable. On the other hand, the handlebars are very uncomfortably stiff, may be because they are very narrow, 370 mm with short stem, or they are just stiff. I installed GP5000, 28 mm (real width of the tire is 29.4 mm), on 21 mm internal width rim and there is 3-4 mm clearance on the chain stays, the fork has bigger clearance.
My only complaint, it is not about the frame but rather about my handlebars choice. The handling is very very nervous. I have two another bike with 400 mm handlebars and 90 mm and 100 mm stems and the handling is very different. So, I was wondering, could the 30 mm shorter handlebars impact that much the handling? I'd like to ask the other frame owners how they feel the handling of their bikes.
