Re: Velobuild VB-R-177
It's not as aggressive as it seems, when you have long arms haha!

I am 6' with a 6'6" wingspan. I guess I could remove some spacers as well?????

Re: VeloBuild Headset Play Issue Using Separate Stem/Handlebar: Resolved.
I also posted this in the VB-177 thread. Figured a brand new topic/thread would better raise awareness.

Thank you Patliean1 for all the troubleshooting and your detailed assessment.

We have been working on resolving the headset play issue some customers with the separate bar/stem combo have experienced and are happy to announce that the issue has been resolved by increasing the thickness of the C shaped bearing press by 0.5mm.

All shipments since April have been sent with the new bearing press and we have also sent it to existing customers that have been affected and it has resolved their issues.

If you have the separate handlebar/stem and are experiencing this issue please contact us for a new C shaped bearing press by email at info@velobuild.com

New customer orders of the separate handlebar/stem will also include split spacers.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-177 Posting a reply we just published in the dedicated thread below in case any miss it.

I have finally found an easy yet permanent fix for the headset play issue when using the separate handlebar/stem combo. Please bare with me as I'll do my best to be clear and concise. You do not need an FSA ACR setup, nor disconnect any hydraulic or shift cables.

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
They're a fan of what ever they're paid to promote (or exclude).
Slap an Orbea decal on it. Lol

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame In a surprise update to my VB-R-168 saga, Chris actually came through, and I finally received the correct seatpost hardware for my frame.
I was so surprised to see that it fit because aside from the curvature being tighter, it looks almost identical.

Re: New Carbon Spoke Wheels(Hyper/Elite Drive) vs Sapim Spoke Wheels? Just for giggles on a Friday

5 pairs of 50mm DRIVE Rim wheelsets coming to Toronto.
Requested with black decals. I don't think too many people are keen on the silver decals.

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056 So I finished my bike about 1 month ago. Very very happy with it. A step (leap?) forwards coming from a Cube Aerial. Very direct, responsive, easy to ride and reassuring. Just rides fast. I go about 3-4km faster with 15 BPM less heartrate in my case. Can't find anything my Cube did better.

Very happy with the end result! Picture was without bartape for easy last minute adjustment of the brake levers. Will take a picture of the driveside one day. But first I've got some KM's to shred! 8)

Re: Velobuild 177: Gap between fork and headtube? While the bikes may not “need” the crown race, some are integrated in the molding process and i never checked the difference on the r12.

The space left is due to it not being cut, the compression cap where you sandwich the cap into the stem joins everything together. My dengfu fm098 had a similar gap issue when it was cut and its because i needed a microspacer on the top.
