Re: Carbonda FM909
Did my first proper fast xc ride over the weekend. Happy to report it was a really awesome experience. Was surprised how well the 909 climbed and how smooth it was in general. I am not used to a bike this long so cornering and drops will take a little getting used to timing perfectly for me. All in all, super happy. Great bike. Early days yet, but nothing to complain about on my side! May 16, 2022, 11:46:26 AM |

TanTan FM198: Anyone know anything about it?
Looks like TanTan finally has some real images of the FM198 up on their page now, instead of the 3D cad images. Geometry looks pretty good - not quite spot-on current, but not old school either - and it appears to handle 2 water bottles as well. I've sent off an inquiry for pricing this morning. http://tantancycling.com/index.php?_m=mod_product&_a=view&p_id=1033 Has anyone been in contact with TanTan, or has one of these already? I finished a 936 build not long ago, which is now out on loan to a friend, and I'm looking at possibly adding the 198 to the stable if everything looks good. Any thoughts/feedback is greatly appreciated. June 24, 2022, 01:31:34 PM |

I have choosen the Deore driveline but with a SLX shifter. Its a bit heavier but the preformance is great and the price is resonable. I have gone for 11S to save a little weight. Re: LightCarbon 918?
Who has one of these AND actually ridden it? I see some people have said they ordered a frame, pictures of builds but zero comments on ride quality. You chose to make your first post an attack on the members of the forum b/c there isn't a review that meets your expectations? Maybe spend some time researching geometry and suspension, those will tell you most of the story for any frame. After that, as with reviews anywhere, negative reviews will be more likely than positive so the lack of posts is a good sign, compared to the AM831 that has dozens of pages across multiple posts b/c of its issues. It's a carbon frame from a reputable supplier. There's maybe a handful of members that have enough name brand frames and Chinese frames to make any meaningful conclusion from riding this one. Do you actually gain anything from some big brand review that says this frame is light, nimble, handles great, climbs well, descends like a brick? It's all subjective, and most reviews are paid, so what is it that you're expecting a random forum member to provide you here? December 24, 2022, 08:23:36 PM |

Re: Carbonda FM909
Hi, I'm 184cm tall and have an 86 inseam, will size L be fine for me? Can someone who has this size and stockings confirm it for me? thank youI just finished a geometry drawing for a build. Here is the XL sizes for someone with 1m86 and 90cm inseam. And a 40mm stem. You can see the distance between the saddle and bar, and the drop. Compare this with your existing bike. We took a L finally. January 05, 2023, 11:00:14 AM |
