Re: EDS electronic rear Derailleur
Having the GX AXS at 300-400 USD on sales (e.g. rcz, and some shops), I am not sure what is the appeal of the EDS.

1.  Overall weight is less than the XX1.  EDS comparison should be between the X01 and the  XX1 versus the AXS.
2.  I am tired of SRAM controlling their products and forcing you to purchase new stuff every few years.   The EDS OX is a universal derailleur that can be configured to operate on (I believe) 7 to 13 speeds via the smart phone app.
3.  I can transfer/swap the rear derailleur and shift pod from one bike to another in about 20 minutes total.  No cables to deal with. Then another 10 minutes, if you are changing # of cogs on the cassette, and/or cog ratios by having to adjust the limits.

Re: cycplus vs rockbros little electric pump things I've just received a Cyclami branded one that cost me around $65 AUD. It pumps my 700x25mm tyre up to ~60 psi in 75 seconds - that's all I need to get me home. Seems to charge pretty quickly too (~30 mins). Haven't had to use it on the road yet but first impressions are pretty good.

Re: Chinese cycling clothes
Over the bibs. But get the small enough. You don't want them baggy at you butt...  ;D
I like it this way. No need to get expensive long bibs you won't wear a lot.(depending on where you live of course..)

Exactly. And runner's tights are not my fav for this application. I want tights with suspenders so they don't work their way down.
I have found a few options at local shops from big brands with discount. But I figured there might be something from a Chinese brand. Bib tights with pad never quite worked for me. Either the fit around the waist and the pad work for me but the legs are too short or the leg length is fine but they're too baggy where the pad sits. Padless tights are much better - for me at least.

Re: Lightcarbon LCG071-D Build Here's a photos of my build + an action shot!

I'm currently running Pararacer EXT 38mm on the rear and Donnelly PDX 33mm (effectively 35) on the front. I've got another Panaracer ext tire coming in the mail for the front ;D

What can I say? This bike has been a fast cross bike. This bike hasn't stopped me from setting some new Strava PRs up the doubletrack climb and the toughest switchback descent at my local stomping grounds. It also hasn't stopped me from modestly outperforming my most recent crossresults-predicted race result this weekend, despite being way-down on fitness according to Garmin. I'm guessing the move to sightly wider rubber has helped, but honestly I'm riding this thing faster at my local mountain bike track than I am riding my new Cannondale Scalpel. So much to say--It's not a completely new or mind-blowing experience, but I feel very confident on this bike, it's very light, and it effectively lets me put down power. Despite my initial misgivings, I have to say I am very happy about the bike so far!

Re: Epic Evo Clone
doesnt really matter, just cut your post down if you need

I have a 175mm Fox transfer, if the insertion depth is less than 250mm then I will have to sell the dropper and buy a shorter one. but I really don’t want to change it to a smaller one. Therefore it is of great importance

Re: Epic Evo Clone
sell the dropper and get a 100mm transfer sl PE

Instead of unnecessary advice, it’s better to tell me what the insertion depth of the seatpost is in size L

a dropper smaller than 150mm is not a dropper

Miracle / MIRA FS822 My Miracle FS822 arrived this week. I'm excited - it has taken me 6 months to choose, order, cancel, re-choose and re-order the frame for this next build! Interested to know if anyone is using or considering this frame - there's very little about them on the forum here.

It is size L of this frame painted gloss black: http://mira-factory.com/Product/detail/id/43.html.

Frame was chosen because Miracle have been around for a long time, good geometry, good price, good communication. It's also nice to try something a little different. I think this new breed of 120mm cross country frames is one of the most interesting MTB developments at the moment, and I can't wait to try it out.

This is my third Chinese frame build. Others are Airwolf YFM026 hardtail (2.5 years old, no problems); and a Carbonda 1001 (my son's. 18 months old. Gets hammered. Parts frequently break but no problems with frame).

There are a few reasons for this build:
1. A reward to myself for hitting 3.5w/kg when training for this season (although racing didn't happen because of life!).
2. To take over from my old Kona Hei Hei race bike that I really miss!
3. Something that I can use on less extreme trails, but that can handle them when needed. This should be great for marathon races in BC, Canada and for all day rides up in the alpine!
4. To potentially take over from the Airwolf, which I will either sell or convert to singlespeed and fully rigid.
5. I love selecting and building these bikes.

I'm not quite ready to build the FS822 yet - it arrived quicker than expected! This week I have unpacked it, designed decals and ordered wrap.

Build will use:
- Fox 34 Performance Elite 120. Removed from Airwolf and fully serviced with new decals from Slik
- Fox Float SL
- Dartmoor Tomcat rims. DT240 front hub and Shimano XTR rear with Sapim Laser spokes. Not yet built
- Bontrager Raceshop Limited carbon bar/stem combo, TransX 150mm dropper
- Magura MT5s
- Drivetrain from the Airwolf: Deore 12sp with XT shifter and X0 carbon crank / chinese power meter.

Impressions so far:
- Seller was Sally. She has been excellent at answering my detailed and sometimes stupid questions and always responded quickly on Whatsapp. Recommended.
- Frame was in stock. Paint took just over a week. Frame was shipped immediately by UPS and arrived in Canada in 5 days. Frame very well packed.
- I have not checked frame bearings etc yet but first impressions are that this is my best frame yet. Very clean inside the frame. Paint is excellent (1 small blemish that has been touched up on ICSG mount). Seatpost fitted very smoothly.

I have high hopes for this frame from on experience so far. I'll update the thread as I progress and if / when I run into any problems.

Poor pics taken so far are attached!

Re: True CX frame (not gravel) I will post some pictures later but I have been meaning to share my experience with my cx build.

Cyclocross is my primary discipline, and for this year I wanted a pit bike. I too wanted the true CX geometry with short wheelbase and high bottom bracket.  I landed on the GR029/FE-806/CX028  frame.  I put on SRAM force because that is what I like and I race single speed with the zip tied shifter.  I purchased through ebay store https://www.ebay.com/usr/yxbikes.  It included headset and thru axles (although the fork doesn't have a threaded insert, so it uses a quick release style thru axle), which added a level of simplicity.  It came with the flyxii top cap.   The crown race was a pretty snug fit, and required a pvc pipe to push it into place (https://nuxx.net/blog/2014/02/09/pvc-1-5-crown-race-setter/).

The geometry is a bit funky.  I really wanted to get the stack down to a certain size.  This frame has a high stack and short reach.  So a compromise was required to get  the stack where I wanted.  I sized down, thinking I could run a bit longer stem.   This worked, but I will say, it puts your pressure vector on the front tire in a less desirable angle while cornering off camber.  I have since put back on  a shorter stem.

The build went very smoothly as it uses those clip in cable stops.  BB shell threads don't look pretty but they were fine.   I paired this with a set of 40mm superteams with onirii rotors (CD-02), which aren't great and have a slight creak to them, but serve the purpose just fine.  Other items include, Ryet 3D saddle, Uno 100mm stem, RXL SL 38mm, Elita One 27.2x350mm seatpost, and Bolany 11-36 cassette.  Basically a full chiner build with Sram Force.

Total Weight came in with pedals and bottle cages just under 18 lbs.

When the season rolled around, I raced it instead of my A bike, and I love it.   The bike rips corners and having a true CX geometry and sizing down a bit has worked really well for me.  I'd highly recommend this frame if you are racing CX but just be aware of the stack/reach combo.  I much prefer it over longer gravely type frames being used in cx.
