Re: Carbonda FM 1003 / Flybike FM 1266 180mm "Super Enduro"
1st Ride Review

Climbing - Climbs HEAPS better than my 2016 275 HT. Minimal to no pedal bob. Things that I could not do before I am able to do with ease now. :D  So far cannot fault climbing.

Descending - Amazing! Did not have any sketchy moments thinking I was going OTB etc. Im still getting use to newer geometry so I have to remember no need to lean back as much as I had to on my old Hard Tail (shorts scrapped the back wheel a few times)
Can pretty much point the bike down at any line and it just eats everything up

Still need to tweak the Fork & Shock a little, but I think im almost there.

Note: The standard free colour the bike comes with does pick up/show oil, fingerprint marks etc.  So, if anyone was considering this frame, prob better to get a custom paint job

Yeah, I’ve been pretty underwhelmed with the standard matte black paint on my FM1002. It chips, scratches and shows any kind of surface contamination way too easily. Custom painting is not necessarily perfect either but I suspect it’s a lot thicker and more resilient.

Re: Trusted 150mm 29er suggestions FM1002 ordered!

Wing has been really helpful (as were Ican), and this forum proving to be a great resource again. Thanks all!

Now, as I gather parts for the build I have 2 suspension questions on the 1002:

- Fork offset. What are people running? What would you all recommend?
- shock hardware. The frame ships with hardware for trunnion but Wing also recommended eyelet bearings, as used by Rocky Mountain. In an ideal world I would run a regular eyelet shock with adapters. What are others running? Recommendations?
- bonus question on rear shock! Is the recommended 55mm stroke the max? Has anyone tried 60mm stroke?

Re: What is your favourite all-purpose bike part store on Aliexpress? Meische Cycling Store have a good range of Kalloy Uno bars and stems. Kalloy are an Oem manufacturer and their stems are tested to iso standards so i've chosen to trust them over other random chinese manufactures and will use on my mtb's when i get back to riding. Hopefully that's not misplaced.

Re: Damn, cracked seat tube. This should be a fairly simple repair and it can be done at home. All you need is sand paper, carbon fiber fabric and epoxy. Wet sanding should be preferred over dry (and if it is not possible, wear a respirator). Wrap upper part of seat tube with 3-4 layers of carbon fiber fabric (applying epoxy on each layer) after removing the paint, and this will be enough.

Also it will be a good idea to drill a small hole in the end of crack (you'll see where exactly it is located after sanding) to prevent further crack growth.

Re: Damn, cracked seat tube. Oh man, what a bummer.

It's not much and it may not help, but if you want, you can tell Eddy that I'll give him free 30 days of a banner advertisement if he'll replace the frame for you. That might help it make more financial sense for him.

Re: Carbonda FM 1003 / Flybike FM 1266 180mm "Super Enduro" This frame is available in size large now!

Adam said it's about ~3.5kg and 1180 USD

I went with the FM1002 instead.

Re: Chinese Carbon 29er Pic Thread. Update, 5,000km and 30,000m of climbing later its still rides better than my 2016 Scott Scale RC900!
