I wonder if this new frame is, in part, to avoid stepping on the toes of their OEM partners like Nich and Tavelo.

The fact that Adapt doesn’t even list the AT-B01 on their website any longer makes me suspect this is the case as well.

Either way, I like the small updates. Especially the hanger as finding a replacement derailleur hanger for open mold frames can be a nightmare.

Winspace T1550 Build (NEW 1550 2.0 thoughts) Not many people post photos of their completed bikes on here, but I always enjoy the posts. So I wanted to post my recently completed build on here, and share how much I spent. A lot of builds on here are really balling on a budget but I really purchased from mainstream vendors for less sketchiness, build came out to $3,288 assembled by my LBS

Mechanics first "Chinese" build at the bike shop, he was very impressed with the quality and noted that the internal cable routing gave him no problems. All of the workers at the bike shop where really interested in the build and none had ever heard of Winspace. This really shows how obscure this forum is, we are so far away from mainstream. He did ride it and was super impressed with it, I told them how my goal was to create an entry level roadbike, but have carbon wheels at the same price point.

Let us know how you find 12 spd mechanical!

My previous bike was spec'd with Shimano Claris 8 speed, and let me tell you coming from that 12s seems excessive. I honestly think 10 speed is probably all you would ever need, so I would guide the forum to save money and buy the now "old" 11 speed groupsets at lower prices. The 11-34 cassette is absolutely ridiculous, and once it wears out I will be going down to a 11-30. Previous Claris cassette was 11-28, and I was able to make it up all the mountains here in east TN. What is nice with going from 8-12 is that the jumps between cogs are much smaller, which I never realized would be that big of a deal. I feel like the only time I would ever use the 34T is if I was bonking hard

Build is pretty much done. Not too many new parts as everything has been moved over from my VB-R-177 build.

Haven't had a chance to take it out for a long spin but general impressions so far based on a short coffee ride:

- Stiffer than the 168 and as stiff as the 177 but more aero (not sure I noticed the more aero part haha)
- Zero offset seat tube is really going to help my personal fit
- Saddle clamping system worked really well and easy to adjust. Extra fittings for carbon rail saddles was great to have included.
- Mavic Speed release style axles are going to take a little getting used to. May need a dedicated axle for the trainer to make things easier to take on and off.
- Overall no issues with the build, ended up drilling a hole in the bottom of the BB area to drain water. Also had to drill out the metal FD cable stop to fit Di2 wire
- New HB-010 integrated bars that came with the frame feel much stiffer than the original ones I had with the wedge tightening system instead of standard two bolt

Just needs some bar tape and maybe some decals and should be ready.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame I am almost finished with the assembly. Overall, I am very pleased with the frame. The workmanship is good as far as I can tell. I haven't ridden the bike yet, but overall it looks like the frame is stiff enough. At least it doesn't feel too wobbly in the shop. I will report back when I have ridden the bike.

Now I want to give a few more details. Tire clearance is no problem at all. The 30 Continental tires are 32mm wide on the rim, which fits perfectly.

The frame weighs almost exactly 1160 grams in size 58. The uncut fork weighs 424 grams. The cockpit weighs exactly 404 grams at 110x420 mm. The seatpost weighs 230 grams. Other accessories such as the headset topcap, headset, seatpost clamp and thru-axles add another 200 grams.

I built the frame with Ultegra Di2. The complete bike weighs 8.3 kg without the computer. That's not exceptionally light, but it's not terribly overweight either. The wheelset (Lightbycicle WR65 with Goldix 240SL) weighs 1550 grams.

The rear thru axle mount did not work for me. The thread was broken. The thru axle was also not mounted correctly. This means that after the paint job at the latest, it must have been noticed that the thru axle did not fit into the thread. Obviously nobody was interested in that. The frame was shipped anyway. This does not speak well for the quality control at Velobuild. I was promised a new thread for the thru axle. Unfortunately I have not received it yet.

The finish is purple chameleon matte. The quality of the paint is very poor. This is especially true for the durability. There is obviously no top coat. You only have to look at the paint once and there's already a flaw. I'm afraid it's not going to be very durable.

Then there's a minor problem with the top cap. It closes very flush when the handlebars are not tightened. But once you apply the correct torque, the top cap protrudes a bit to the side. This is mainly an aesthetic problem and doesn't look very good.

Now I have to make a few adjustments (like the saddle angle) before I can ride it outside. Also, the weather here in Germany is pretty bad at the moment. I also need new chainrings as the ones I have only work for 11-speed and the shifting performance is pretty bad.

Here are some pictures as a first impression. As soon as I'm outside and can take better pictures, I'll post them here.

took some time to build the bike mainly because I was missing components and because of lack of time. However, the weather here is anyway still too bad to ride it outside.

Bike weighs 7.3 kg including pedals and wahoo mount. Only the bottle cages are missing...so pretty much spot on 7kg without.

Only things that I still need to work on are:
- fine tune the shifting
- check if I like the brakes or if I swap them to the stock ltwoo ones. I like the silver look of the zrace but they still feel a little spongy compared to the ultegra brakes on my old bike. Maybe I just need to re-bleed them again, let's see.

The build-process was generally pretty simple. The only issue I had was that I needed tro drill out the whole for the di2 cable in the chainstay as it was not properly drilled inside.  I think there were some sharp edges inside so the cable didn't want to go through. The rest was straightforward.

I will wait with my first ride until we have dry conditions here  :)

Future updates to arrive at around 7kg ready to ride might be a lighter cassette (I use a 105 11-32 right now), lighter chain and maybe 140 rotor in the back.

Re: Yoeleo R12 & SAT C50 PRO Wheels - Revamped and Refreshed My R12 build is complete, unexpectedly quick thanks to from-USA shipping of Elitewheels.

Size 54 that fits like 56. I used FSA SMR stem and FSA Energy handlebar that allows full internal routing unless you do external junction box Di2 thingy like I did - then it is semi internal.
The color is "Golden Apache" and on the website it looks very golden but in reality its pretty light, almost on the verge of being beige. The drivetrain is a mix of 11 speed Di2 bits.

The Di2 battery is held inside the seatpost wrapped in a bubble wrap and thin foam layer. It was surprisingly very snug fit. No special shims needed. No bar end junction box used because I miscalculated the wire situation. The RS785 shifters being old school compared to Ultegra 8070, have only a single Di2 port on each. To use bar end junction you either need shifters with multiple ports or a "Y" split e-tube which I didn't have. I had already gathered rest of the wires and junction boxes so decided to move ahead with it without getting extra parts. The braking performance on these is excellent and I love the snappier-than-Ultegra levers. The shifters do look humongous though.

As compared to Velobuild's internal routing, this one was a breeze. Not just the frame but also thru the FSA stem and bars. I routed the whole bike in one afternoon without hassle. I will definitely recommend this setup if you are okay with alloy parts.

Nothing much to note really. The frame internals were super clean, BB shell, brake mounts, cable exits, thru axle dropouts all perfectly finished without any extra paint anywhere. The internal cables all went through effortlessly. The paint seems pretty good quality.

Parts used -
1. Shimano RS785, Ultegra R8000, DA 9100 Di2 mixed groupset. The RS785 work fine with Ultegra R8020 hydro calipers using BH90 hose, olives and barbs even though RS785 are officially supported only for BH59.
2. Elitewheels 50mm deep 28mm wide SLT-Disc tubeless
3. Vittora Corsa N.ext tires (32mm) with tubes. Plenty of clearance still left so I am guessing I can go 35 if I want but 32 it is. Note - these tires are a b*tch to mount. Probably the hardest I have ever tried to. Tubes are RideNow TPU.
4. FSA SMR 100mm stem FSA + FSA Energy SCR compact 400mm handlebar with full internal routing. The stem came without spacers so I bought this from Aliexpress and it fit as if FSA themselves made it - https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804948224583.html
5. Shimano Pro saddle.
6. Crankbrothers Candy 2 pedals - I use MTB style pedals even on road bikes.
7. Ultegra 52/36 crank, Ultegra 8000 11-32 cassette, KMC X11 chain.
8. Blackbird GPS mount, Towild 18650 light.
9. Riderace bar tape.

No fancy equipment. 7.8 kg minus the pedals.

Rides BEAUTIFULLY and accelerates quickly. The 32c tires don't feel fast but numbers don't lie. I have become a big fan of 30/32c tires. And even with 32c tires, the bike is pretty stiff, not bone jarring but tight. Just for the kicks I put the wheelset with Gravelking tires from my VB GF002 bike and it still feels way more stiffer than the GF002. Not apples to apples comparison but it was nice comparison for me to notice how frames make a huge difference in comfort.




For now, the build is exactly what I wanted it to be minus the wheels which have extra loud hubs. These are as loud as Reynolds wheels that I have on other bike and I am not a fan. I should have done some more research on that topic. A while ago I replaced the bearings on my ICAN Aero 50 wheelset with NGK ones and those wheels became silent to the point the pedestrians can't hear me rolling behind them. May be I will try that in some time.
