Re: Replica Factor Ostro VAM
I've purchased it on Aliexpress (store: taiwan factory bike parts Store - model New Model Fasterway Ostro) and I could choose between any factor color scheme (painted or the stickers are under the paint), I doubted the one without any paint or just the clear paint that you could see the carbon layers. I know a lot of people here don't like replicas or placing a brand name on a copied frame, but in the end, I still did it, because I liked it (sorry). I also came across a Ostro VAM replica frame without logo in size 52 for around $500 USD. I don't have any proof but I personally don't believe they really give you T1000 / T1100 for a cheap frame like this, even if they have it is probably just a single layer of T1000, which is pretty much useless (the western brands do it like this too when they claim they used T1000 btw). Full build is 8kg including pedals, it feels a bit less stiff than my Giant TCR Advanced 2 but my TCR creaks like hell in the BB area when riding uphill, yet this supposed to be cheap quality aliexpress frame has no creaking issues. Bad thing about this replica is that the little parts are not high quality, which means you would need to get yourself some titanium bolts, there is also no manual whatsoever so you would need to figure out those little issues yourself such as finding the right size and length for the bolts, could be pain in the ass if you are not a DIY person. The paint is really great for this price, it is not perfect but you can hardly notice those minor issues without knowing where to look. August 20, 2024, 12:26:02 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
Spot the NOAH https://youtu.be/DW0eONO_blw?si=zNw6iIaAwg4-NKjG Did you also notice that he put tape around the storage box? That is not a good sign, right? Or it is just out of precaution... October 24, 2024, 03:34:33 AM |

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201
What do you have inside of it? Got some pictures? The frame does come with a "stuff bag", i.e. the Tideace Schlong. Two pics of the sealed bag and with stuff. It all barely fits and keeps everything snug once the cover is on. Stuff I carry in there: Tube CO2 and mini inflator Multitool (say it like Leeloo) Zip ties plug tool boot material (dog food packaging) Levers alcohol wipe a couple compressed wipes quicklinks a bit of TP ('cause you never know!) extra valve and valve tool October 26, 2024, 11:56:48 AM |

Re: Replica Factor Ostro VAM
Just thought I’d add my 2 cents to this group, as I finally received my frameset at the weekend. I ordered from Polar bicycle store on AliExpress a few months ago. However the frameset took a little longer than others,as I ordered the raw finish with the hologram logo which seems to be more difficult to manufacture and this seller was the first to have it on the market. Honestly I was a PITA customer asking loads of questions and being really picky about every detail, he answered all my questions thoroughly and promptly and never complained. For a size medium/54cm frame weight was 898g, front fork uncut was 410g, 0mm offset seatpost was 125g and a Darimo nexum drag replica in 380x100mm was 284g. The quality was outstanding and just as good as any western brand, perhaps even better. The facing on the BB shell meant there was no paint and the threads were super smooth. The handlebar and seatpost were a super tight fit with no play and the mounts for the calipers were also really well faced and the calipers were perfectly parallel with the rotors when I built it up. Anyway here’s some pictures of the final build, came in at 6.7kg without bar tape. August 20, 2025, 04:10:04 AM |
